This billboard was in Milwaukee wi. This billboard was up for about a month. Then they took it down and replaced it with “Make great DJ’s” with the pictures off those 3 kids grown up which are the 3 people on the most know radio channel in Milwaukee morning talk show. Was kinda a cool advertisement.
That sounds kind of peculiar until you start thinking about how now they’ve got these digital billboards all over the danged place that you CAN watch.
Sounds like a great idea, doesn’t it? Let’s put a 70 foot widescreen TV next to the interstate so people flying down the road will have something to watch instead of driving.
Not the best laid plan of mice or men. Billboards should be static . One glance, then look at the road. Even in perfect driving conditions, it seems like there’s always a reason to watch the cars around you when doing 65-75 mph … Or maybe I’m just being nitpicky about it?
Oh hells no! There are a LOT of ugly kids. Even ugly babies. Which always makes me feel all guilty inside when I see one. Like I’m the biggest jerk ever for thinking that baby looks like a great dane’s ball sack or something. It isn’t the kid’s fault his or her parents passed a whole bucket of ugly through the genepool.
I saw this exact billboard with other kids on it in SLC, Utah around 2004. The next couple of months, the sign changed to “…become Morning DJ’s” and had the kids as adults.
There was one in Minnesota a while back… the “Ugly Kids” billboard” ended up either turning into or leading to a “Become Radio DJs” billboard, with pictures of the radio djs for some local station.
They pulled this same stunt in Salt Lake City a few years ago. It’s an advertisement for the local radio station. In a few weeks/months, they’ll update the photos to the current DJs and the caption will read “make good radio hosts.”
Not shopped – I work in Milwaukee and used to drive by that billboard every day. Other commenters were right – after a few weeks it got changed to one with pictures of some station’s DJs and said something about making good radio hosts. It was VERY wtf. I always hoped they at least used pics of themselves as kids.
What exactly was supposed to be the point of this? Did the bullies at some school pool their lunch money for the year and put pictures of their favorite targets up there?
This was actually part 1 of an adversiting promo for a radio station in Milwaukee…the second part (put up a couple weeks later) was something about them being radio DJs (for KISS FM).
I am from Milwaukee, and the ad is for 103.7 KISS FM. The ad says “Ugly Kids” with pictures of the actual station DJs when they were kids, and then it switches to “Become DJs” with pictures of the DJs today with the station logo. This ad is old, and I don’t think it’s used anymore.
This is actually a 2-sided billboard. They use this on buses all the time here. It’s a radio station ad that says “Ugly kids become radio DJ’s.” It’s school pics of the DJ’s.
They had to paint over the fourth ugly kid because he was too ugly and would have blinded anyone who saw the billboard. Three guesses who the fourth ugly kid was, the first two dont count.
But, where’s the cheese?
see, im thinking this one is a win!
I agree, this is a WIN
Accuracy Win!
WIN
Definately a win.
Oh my
I remember watching this billboard years ago, and to this day no one believed me.
I <3 the internet.
My life is now complete.
It’s time to rub it in their noses
What is this billboard even advertising? Or is it really just dedicated to Ugly Kids?
According to my research *puts glasses on* a radio show.
Funny, right? Ugly people do belong on radio…

Thank you. I drove through the state when my mother-in-law died, on my way to Louisiana, and I never understood what I saw. Now I do.
They ripped it off from a Minneapolis morning show who did it about 8 years ago.
Who ripped it off from a Toledo radio station who did it about 15 years ago.
I live in Michigan and I remember seeing a similar billboard 8 or so years ago here as well.
I agree, I also saw this in Michigan a long time ago.
…Who ripped it off from Nikola Tesla who was a very ugly child.
damn ugly kids i bet lol
no, it’s a radio advert…they did it here in Charlotte NC about 8 years ago.
thats what he just said…
“watching” billboards?

“watching” meaning “keeping track of”, as in “watching the price of oil.” Makes sense to me. Especially in context (above).
What?! Your life is complete? But you weren’t even first!!!11!1
Ok.. personally I hate the whole First!!!! thing but this comment made me chuckle a bit
Truth FTW
Honesty is the best policy…
That’s so last season.
Yeah, unnecessary violence is the new best policy.
There are no ugly kids, just ugly hair cuts.
And other fashion choices.
So many new fails, so little to work with for amusing comments. Guess I’ll have to go back to pretending to work.
Here *hands stack of papers* file then unfile these, then mail each one separately to me in the interoffice mail. Then go on a break – you deserve it!
*vigorously applies nail file to stack of papers*
…
(Hours later)
*looks at filed paper*
How do you unfile them, again?
Evidently you’ve never been to Wisconsin.
Just las Sunday!
Oh Avis, I know that you have been to Wisconsin…
Long time no *squeeze*
wtf, are people dating via failblog now?
No, I mentioned before that I had to go up there this past weekend.
*SQUEEZE!!*
There are ugly kids. Trust me.
No, my sis looks like a blond version of the Spitter from L4D2.
Oh hells no! There are a LOT of ugly kids. Even ugly babies. Which always makes me feel all guilty inside when I see one. Like I’m the biggest jerk ever for thinking that baby looks like a great dane’s ball sack or something. It isn’t the kid’s fault his or her parents passed a whole bucket of ugly through the genepool.
i honestly cried of laughing after reading this comment. maybe its because I know an ugly baby…. or that I stare at great dane’s nuts?
ROFLMAO!!!! @ BOTH comments!
Nice!

Nothing a little make-up can’t fix.
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Am I buying them or saving them?
What is this? An infomercial or something? “If your kids look like this, they’re ugly.”
I saw this exact billboard with other kids on it in SLC, Utah around 2004. The next couple of months, the sign changed to “…become Morning DJ’s” and had the kids as adults.
Glad to see the campaign is copied.
There was one in Minnesota a while back… the “Ugly Kids” billboard” ended up either turning into or leading to a “Become Radio DJs” billboard, with pictures of the radio djs for some local station.
Ohhh. Well I know a couple of DJ’s that aren’t cute, so that makes sense.
Well radio DJs are rarely seen, so it doesn’t matter if they’re ugly or not
Hence the expression “a face meant for radio”.
You don’t need to be pretty to do radio work, though being pretty would improve the advertising.
♫It’s just the same old show on my radio♫
the one in the middle looks me
The one on the right looks like me in middle school.
First
Well that’s a
facebillboard that only a mother couldlovesue for false advertising.Maybe slander.
We here at AdCorp prefer to call it honesty.

its a WIN!!
Maybe that’s why Mommy needs so much ‘Time Out’ wine?
well it’s kinda true, we have to give them credit for that.
This is for sure a Win. Give it up to Sconnie.
Just remember: it’s not mean if it’s true (is it?).
uh..shopped?
Not shopped – I work in Milwaukee and used to drive by that billboard every day. Actually, it probably WAS shopped. They gotta make the billboard art SOMEHOW.
What exactly was supposed to be the point of this? Did the bullies at some school pool their lunch money for the year and put pictures of their favorite targets up there?
probably another fake.

Win. These kids were at my 10th birthday party at Showbiz Pizza!
The kid on the left has a milk beard. Is that a Wisco thing? Is that what the “ugly” is about?
Win. These kids were at my 10th birthday party at Showbiz Pizza!
Ugly kids and MacGyver.
What the heck is my high school picture doing there? That’s the 10th grade picture before I sneezed-. Oh, that’s not me.
Where was this sign? I live there, and I’ve never seen it.
Do you know where the Hunger Task Force sign is? It was a little bit past it on the freeway.
Is this the new Farrelly brothers movie?
what a fail!
+1 Win
I like the one with the mullet
so true!
It’s an ad for abortion.
shouldve put justin beiber on there lol.
UGLY KIDS R UGLY :B
Epic Win
This is actually a 2-sided billboard. They use this on buses all the time here. It’s a radio station ad that says “Ugly kids become radio DJ’s.” It’s school pics of the DJ’s.
this was actually on the way to the mall of america it was up for the entire time I lived in that area (about 5 years).
wtf!!! what are they advertising?
Hair cuts not to give your kids!
Looks like a win to me!
They had to paint over the fourth ugly kid because he was too ugly and would have blinded anyone who saw the billboard. Three guesses who the fourth ugly kid was, the first two dont count.
Great billboard. This one was for a Milwaukee local radio morning show. The follow up billboard said, “Become DJs” and gave out the radio call sign.
