  1. Huh says:

    what does that even say

  2. shuu says:

    LOL WTF is this!!!

  3. fullmontis says:

If you watch it in a mirror it works

  4. fgsfds says:

the backwards logo comes from japanese drifting cars, where one side of the car has mirrored logos/sponsors to mimic the other side. this dbag thinks he can drift his economy car apparently.
5 star rating for no one knowing what it is, 1 star rating for the guy who did it

  5. flybynight says:

pay for Kobe, and u got a championship…….
just to fit in the fb community *wipes his ass with Cavaliers jersey*

  6. L says:

    Lakers?
    GO CELTICS!

  7. Winning Loser says:

    I support backwards basketball also!

  8. fan says:

to me it seems obvious the car belongs to the store in the back (“a full service shop in advertising & promotions”).
    good showcase, boy.

    • InnocentlyMentioningIt says:

His business is doing well. He seems to be the owner of Eiffel Tower, the Tower of Pisa and a Dutch windmill, among others …

  9. Anon says:

    Still, a fail’s a fail !!

  10. Billy Mays says:

Its a Japanese decal style that has mirrored images on the opposite side of the car….

  11. Anon says:

you realize that in the import scene it’s ok to put the decal on backwards, right?

  12. With me says:

    Basketball sucks anyway…

  13. acrimonious says:

Looks like a regular sh*tbox Mirage to me. 1.6 liters of fury. But hey, way to be a fanboi.

    • JustOlJon says:

Yeah, I’m with you. If it was an Evo III, the wing would not be one of those skeleton jobbies.

And no way is a stock Evo of any generation (what are they up to, X or XI?)
“faster than any American car ever built.”

      • scraverX says:

I’m not convinced it’s an Evo III without seeing the hood… Actually, even then I wouldn’t be convinced it’s a genuine Evo III. I’d be asking to see the vin for confirmation.

Could easily be a Regular CE Sedan with an Evo III kit on it or a GSR (Step down from the Evo) with an Evo III kit.

        @JustOlJon: Current gen Evo is the X. (XI isn’t due till… 2013-2014)

        • illiterate says:

Ride height. eBay wing. “Altezza” tail lights. It’s not an Evo.

A little history lesson: The Lancer Evolution VIII was the first Evo sold in the US, in 2003. The only ones in the US before that were gray market imports, but even those I think are pretty rare. There was no 1994 Evo III, as it didn’t come out until late ’95.

And as others have stated, the mirrored decal is a common style in drifting, sometimes imitated by ricers. I think even ricers would cringe at this hackjob.

    • mooglefans says:

Looks to me like a 1.5, 1.6L, or a 1.8L plain old Mirage to me. I would know, I have one. (I have the last gen one [fifth gen] though before they got the rights for the Lancer name. This is a 1991-1996 fourth gen Mirage in the picture. I can tell by the placement of the model statement besides the front left wheel and the tail light shape, which look like they were painted over or replaced with aftermarket ones.)

      • mooglefans says:

Alternatively, sometimes they placed a reflective piece instead of the model name. This looks like it has a reflective piece. It’s too low and close to the wheel to be a Subaru Impreza one though. The Subaru one is about a couple of inches higher and half an inch directionally towards the door than the Mitsubishi models. I know, nitpicking, but it’s details that help determine the car since they were extremely similar.

  14. Twister says:

Dammit, ya got it all bass ackwards.

  15. JediGoalie30 says:

Faster than any American car ever built? I think not. Corvette ZR1 FTW.

  16. PsychoDad says:

Yeah, but it would rust into 20 pieces before it got to the finish line.

  17. JustOlJon says:

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:White_evo3gsr.jpg

  18. Luky Luke says:

Well, hope he lives in Mirrorland…

  19. Ari Gold says:

he reads it in the mirror

  20. bubba says:

I see no fail in that, it’s for drift cars and you see it the good way in the mirror

  21. Snails says:

It’s so he can see it from the inside.

  22. G. James says:

This car is destined to be T-boned by a Celtics fan driving in reverse.

  23. THAT guy says:

Look at the sign in the window, its backwards.

So, This picture is fail, Decal fail this is not.

    • California Dave says:

Actually, it’s not – look at the words on the awning. The picture is correct, the decal is backwards.

  24. THAT guy says:

    DISREGAURD THAT I SUCK COX

  25. robok says:

    srekal rhymes with decal.

  26. Ben says:

photo was taken in a mirror, DUH!!!

  27. Andrew Ong says:

    Mirror image win.

  28. travis says:

Not a fail when people look in the rear view mirror its right.

  29. marcus says:

you noobs. of course it’s not an fail. in JDM it is a rule that wrightings on the one side of the car are in the mirror to be symetric

    • Chris Johnson says:

It is mandatory in japan that street racers paint their cars radioactive colors and have advertising decals reversed

street racers must have a minimum of 50 different company decals on their cars even though neither the car nor the driver is affiliated with any of the brand on the decals!

  30. devilssg says:

or you can take any image youfind and flip horizontal in ms paint and magically the words appear to be backwards!!! oooo ahhhh.

  31. scraverX says:

If it’s a drift car the suspension is too high. That’s like factory height.

  32. scraverX says:

Even more fail… it could be a Subaru Impreza with a mitsu Evo kit…

CE Sedan and Gen 1 Impreza are a similar size and shape. Roof line looks a little more Mitsu Lancer though…

  33. Jayden says:

Nah, it’s not a fail. It’s like an ambulance, so that when he drifts through traffic and people see him in their mirrors they know where his allegiance lies

    • JediGoalie30 says:

So it’s not a fail because it’s like the lettering on the front of an ambulance that you can read in your mirror when it’s behind you; and if the driver of that POS does what he has to do for you to read it in your rearview, the next thing that you see there will BE an ambulance, because he probably just caused an accident. So, still a fail.

  34. bah242 says:

JDM car. Evolution 3 looks like. they put the decals on backwards, it’s sort of a drift thing.

  35. Rico Caper says:

I hope you guys know this isn’t a fail, unless you mean that the Lakers are a fail, which they are. Anyway, import tuners put the decals on the right side of the vehicle and mirror them on the left side. It’s not a mistake, it’s just an import tuner fashion thing.

  36. bah242 says:

Then they just have evo side skirts? and rear skirt then?http://www.dragtimes.com/images/17030-1995-Mitsubishi-Lancer-EVO.jpg

    Kinda ricey…

    • illiterate says:

It’s like putting Type-R badges and body kit on a 2003 Civic Si. Looks like a Type-R, but it’s not, because they weren’t sold in the US. Neither was the Evo III.

  37. Michael says:

If the Lakers read that aloud they’ll be forced to return to their own dimension.

  38. Kllez says:

The whole car is a fail.

  39. Kumo says:

If by JDM you meant Japanese Domestic Motors, I think you got it wrong. JDM stands for Japanese Domestic Market. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_domestic_market

  40. me says:

    ricers…

  41. Cheezymeister says:

Oh crap…I forgot to turn off my sarcasm-0-meter….Now it’s all going crazy…

  42. Arielcream says:

Photo is an epic fail, not the Decal, the negative was oviously printed wrong way round – hence all the backwards writing, on car, in window……

  43. Not Dave says:

    LAST!
