Considering how many people here haven’t figured out what the proper sentence was supposed to be, I would say Jordan is one of the intellectual people here. So how about pointing your caps lock at someone else?
Many people here don’t speak English as their first language.. I also had to think for a second until I remembered that pen is another word for barn.
I think that kid’s solution would’ve occurred to me long before the correct one..
Even with English being my native language, I can easily see why someone would come up with this kid’s solution first, too. heheh Especially since “pen” isn’t used in that context much these days. I suppose I did accidentally make it sound as though anyone who didn’t come up with the correct answer on their own are in some way intellectually inferior to those who did figure it out. My apologies if it came off that way.
My problem is with “rrrrrrrrrrrr” being a jacka$$ towards someone who pointed out what it really should say, when there are many people here commenting they can’t or didn’t see it.

I still don’t get it! That makes no sense. How can a goat be in a pen? I can see a pen being in a goat–which is a disturbing thought, but how could a goat POSSIBLY fit inside a pen? That makes no sense. This question has no non-disturbing answer.
Not ‘pen’ as in writing utensil. ‘Pen’ as in enclosure. Pigpen, for example, or playpen. The goat is in a fenced enclosure. That’s what it’s SUPPOSED to say. Though, as goats eat everything, I can understand why the kid could’ve thought that, he just spaced it wrong…

Well, unless that kid lives on a farm, it seems most obvious he thought “A pen? That thing you can write with?”. After all, this seems to be made by a 6-year old: 6-year olds might never have heard of a pen where you keep goats, but they DO have heard about pens you write with. So, as strange as the sentence is, the correct way must’ve been even more confusing to the kid.

I think there are more to the instructions. Probably something along the lines of “Unscramble the words to make a sentence. Then draw a picture about the sentence.” Thus the drawing that looks like it was drawn by a six year old.

Not sure if this is actual material made by an elementary student. However, the sentence, “My pen is in a goat” makes very little sense to me. So to say the least, missing a space between the pen and is, makes it a very funny sentence.
