I came here to say that this is full of win. I am glad to see the first post already did. How can you possibly beat mixing Thomas with Voltron? The magnitude of the win is beyond words.
If they marketed this right, you would turn all those 5 year old into followers until the teenager years. Heck, I am in my 30s and I would buy one for me and one for my kids.

Count the wheels, the front part comes off to make the arms, and the wheels are the legs. So there are enough parts. Notice no wheels on the arms.

It’s not even the first 3-train combiner, there was one named JRX in the Japanese Transformers series Car Robots (released in the US as Robots in disguise, where the character was named Rail Racer). And yes, he was awesome.
As for the product in question, yeah, this is absolute 100% win which even the spelling error can’t diminish. The only fail I can find is that it’s been horribly mis-categorized as “FAIL” instead of “WIN.”

I actually have this. Friend got it off a Chinese (Hong Kong?) knock off site for about 20 bucks. Also has some really high quality Power Rangers knockoffs. Couldn’t tell you the website, though.
I bought one of these for a friend of mine. You can find them in just about every alley toy store in mainland China. There are several styles of packaging they come in… One came with a DVD!

The only fail is that Thomas and the green engine (Henry?) have to disassemble before combining with James. Otherwise, win. What if the combined robot got shot in the right leg? Thomas will end up with just head and butt and no torso.

Thomas the tank engine X Transformers X Voltron = an 80s childhood distilled and remixed in fine style. Only problem is, I’m not sure who the green engine is supposed to be… we’ve got Edward (medium size blue engine – thomas is shorter), James (red)… who’s the green one? Percy would be too small; Henry, too long. Fill me in, someone. He looks to be based on some kind of American design, which is even more intriguing.
I can think of one way this COULD be a fail, but only if I remember my who’s who of trains right…
