This is what happens when you let your 14 year-old son name the new neighborhood you designed. Now all the other neighborhoods laugh at your awkward mornings. Why Do I Live Here?
You have to be hard to live here.
Early risers are rewarded.
More like… applauded.
Are you saying they all have the clap?
Bunch of stiffs.
Not bad for a bunch of old prunes.
“Excuse me, sir. Could you point me in the right direction to morning wood?”
*points down the road* okay, all you have to do is walk past that shabby motel there– you’ll know you have the right one when you here some loud thumps agaist the wall– past the shady movie rental store (the one with all the pictures of women in bikinis) and hang a left at the bar which also doubles as a stripclub. got it?
sorry, I’m italian and I can’t understand whats’s wrong in this name… “morning” is the first part of a day and “wood” is something like a forest, so what?
‘Wood’ is English slang for an erection, and ‘morning wood’ is a nickname for what men wake up with, on most days.
LOL! thanks, ranylt, in italy we have no nickname for this!
now ya do! feel free to scream it in the middle of job interviews
I wonder if they would allow me to pitch a tent in the neighborhood?
i heard that its real wet there.
They’ve got a lot of bush ’round there.
This should be a win. who doesnt want this?
Hah, too funny. That is a subdivision in northeast Memphis (Cordova area)… I knew I saw that sign before when driving my daughter to a friend’s house. Small world.
…you forgot to say that you drive past it every day.

It used to say “Morning Woods” but someone took the S’s off of both of the signs in front of that subdivision. Me and my friends stopped to take pictures one night, and you could see the faded area on the brick where they were.
There was a street called Morning Wood in my hometown and the highschool kids kept stealing it. It was funny until somebody had a heart attack and the ambulance couldn’t find the house.
why wasn’t it still funny after somebody had a heart attack? why don’t you rain on those kids’ parade some more, ass
More importantly, how the hell did they steal an entire f*cking street?!
I gues he meant that they raided it? Or maybe that they have stolen the place, the silence or something. like a metaphor?
um i think he means street sign
If your 14 year old doesn’t know what that means then I blame you for bad parenting!
cfeld: Olney, Maryland by chance…?
haha it’s a nice name for a place to live but seriously, morning wood? it also means boner.
You’re joking! I’m very offended, now!
*walks off in a huff*
I don’t get it
Maybe you’re more of an evening sort.
Perhaps not even then…
Maybe something is sapping his blood flow.
It’s been a long day, he’s limping along.
*pats Matthew consolingly*
Don’t worry. Puberty comes at different times for everybody. You’ll get one soon.
still don’y get it
wood being slang word for “erection”, the whole sentence means “Morning erection” or something like that.
M-O
M-O-R
M-O-R-N-I-N-G, W-O-O-D
Do the Nth degreeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
FAMILY GUY! lol. That’s all this made me think of! “Morning Wood Academy”
Where does one sign up for this academy?
wow, I live right near that. . hahahahahaha
I have some friends that live there. I used to live just down the road
Harr, now I can track back your live and sell your house to evil organistions!
I flipped out when I saw this,
not because it’s funny,
but because my grandparents used to live there.
Elder wood.
Unfortunately, to be followed by Mourning Wood.
i wouldn’t wanna live anywhere else *dreams*
Huh huh huh huh huh Huh huh huh huh huh Huh huh huh huh huh Huh huh huh huh huh Huh huh huh huh huh Huh huh huh huh huh Huh huh huh huh huh Huh huh huh huh huh Huh huh huh huh huh Huh huh huh huh huh Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh Heh heh heh heh heh heh heh
Omg I moved out of this neighborhood two years ago!
This guy beat me to uploading it!
“beat you” heh heh heh ….
lolz… I get it
lololo
Oh gwad…I used to live there…can’t believe I actually seeing this on the net!
Haha this is wonderful! I was on my way from Memphis to Sommerville, TN on Sunday and ended up stopping right in front of this subdivision! I tried to take a picture with my phone to post on here, but my memory was full and the light changed. Indeed, small world.
Funny, when a school gets posted with success cancelled, everyoen is on the school. When a neighbourhood has a funny name everyone “used” to live there.
It’s a pretty big subdivision around here. I’ve never lived there and never will…but I can tell you exactly where it is. It’s always good for a chuckle or two. I guess they’ve just given up on replacing the “S” at the end.
I was laughing at this the other day and then went to the car shop. I realised this sign is right down the street from me 0.0
That was the name of Peter’s apartment complex in Office Space
Must have been hard to erect that sign and get it up there.
Anybody here a fan of Saints Row?
OMG I pass this almost everyday! Its right on the highway and you can tell some kids ripped the “S” off the end
Gotta love the Memphis area.
I’m glad I live in Millington now and not in that neighborhood.
My parents didn’t understand what was wrong with the sign…
Amen. I’ve driven past this sign so many times and always thought the same thing.
yeah this is a neighborhood near my house in memphis. Its actually called “morning woods” but kids steal the “s”.
I moved into this neighborhood in Sept. The homeowner’s association has decided to quit putting the ‘S’ back on the signs because kids rip them off withing a couple of days. And yes, I do get made fun of every time I tell someone I live here.
MATTHEWS, NC ALSO HAS A STREET BY THIS NAME, AND CHARLOTTE, NC HAS MORNING BREEZE.
Hahah My friend Allie lived in this neighborhood growing up.
Great name for a town
my spanish teacher lived in that neighborhood. i’m definitely going to make a detour next time i’m up there and pose with it
Granny DONT!
This is town name?? Haa haaa haaa Morning WOOD
Town name Fail!
