It is a problem if you need to be reminded not to do this

This must be how the Sirius Cybernetic Corporation started.
We don’t do that in Castle Grayskull…
I thought that skeletons didn’t do that anywhere…
They have to wring out their bones sometimes… Wait, that came out wrong.
I think they’re trying to say that it shouldn’t come out at all.
That’s what my dad said about girls.
That’s what my dad said about everything.

Apprends d’abord à parler la france gars, tu dailles gavé… \o/
Obvious warnings could come in handy.
yeah… but im not going in this elevator, i wanna take a piss damit!
For all the Drunk people:
You will find yourself in the 11th floor when u press the “flush”-button
Society fail. Some people do need to be told these things
Elevator fail. It should be odour-repellant.
It should have a ventilation box above, that would fix it.
In reference to this fail… *clickie*
Obvious reference is obvious.
:p
We actually have a serious problem with this in certain dorm buildings on campus…
I can agree with that. at my second job I did fitting room duty and it was insane how many times I had to clean up the fitting room stalls because people used them as if they were restroom stalls. I talked to someone online who actually said they had to clean up a stall on the men’s side where they worked for a different, more disturbing, reason too. it’s impossible for me to use a fitting room any more because I know how unclean they are.
They would get mad because we wouldn’t let them use our restroom and told them where they were located out in the mall. It really bummed me out to have to mop up after such individuals. Glad I’m not still in retail.
ewwwwww!
We have to deal with this all the time at the library as well
And not just in the elevator, but even at the front desk! (O_O)
I trust you have never carried a black light in there and shone it around while the regular lights were off . . .
haha obviously.
This sign is taking the p!ss.
No sh!t?
(Hey there! Having a day off, too?)
(Apparently not.
)
*tickles*
Sat at the desk, hard at work
Sorry to hear that. Collapse your horse maybe? We’re having some religious day off. Don’t ask me why, I have no clue. But: YAY for religion!
YAY!
Says the communist…
In Moominist thread, communist say YAY!?
Da.
Damn, too late
*trying to clean the mess*
I’m pretty sure there are a few youtube videos of this actually happening.
Actually, I did urinate in work’s elevator once, had too much beer before going.
Fail failed.
why fail? In Singapore, most of the elevators at public housing have anti-urinate alarm.
That’s true, I’ve been living in Singapore for a long time and those signs are almost on all elevators. In fact the problem is so common that, as tty said, most elevators have urine alarms. If you take a leak in it the doors will lock and the system will dial the police.
I heard that to avoid the alarm people started to pee from the outside.
Dear god, why?!
Don’t you have toilets in Singapore?
Oh they do have toilets. Some of them are just too lazy and selfish to go use one. They’re the same way when they walk around. They bump into each other like bumper cars because they all expect the other person to move out of the way.
I lived there for two years. It’s not all bad, but some of the things that go on there, and require fines and signs, are ridiculous.
So, in light of what they do there to drug dealers and people who put graffiti on cars, what is the penalty for violating that section of the pee-nal code?
(Sorry. I know it’s an old joke.)
I moved to Singapore last year and live in a HDB flat and there is someone peeing in the elevators everyday. Sometimes more than once.
Yeah, I hold my breath when going up coz I live in the 26th floor and dried pee stinks
Awww why not!?
*Reads sign*
*Is too drunk to care, pees anyway.*
Drunk on Acerglyn (whatever that is)?
i have a 1000 such obvious signs because people do shit and pee in elevators
And in the old-style phone enclosed booths.
(Yes, even the all-glass ones that forced Clark Kent to find somewhere else to change.)
Y?
Y[0]?
This should be put in every council estate elevator in London, nay, the UK!
Surprisingly or maybe not so surprisingly, given the sign
, this is a major problem at the 4 star hotel/resort that I’m a security guard at and maybe we need one of these signs (lol). I’ve actually personally caught 3 people actively “urinating” in the elevators. In fact one of them was peeing on one of the landings, walked into elevator with his pants down and proceeded to pee on me! Then he had the nerve to argue with me that he hadn’t been peeing!
Now again, this isn’t a roach motel, it’s a 4 star hotel! I’ve also found pee on elevators and several of my fellow guards have too and the’ve also had in person experiences like mine. Now minus the unusual case here and there, these people are almost all drunks. Still you would think people would have a little more common decency in this day and age, but I guess a lot of alcohol can make us act like animals, huh?
You shoud see World’s Dumbest Criminals on TrueTV (if you get that channel). Most of the people on that show are either drunk or really bad at comitting robberies.
Sometimes you just gotta go. It’s not good for your bladder to just hold it.
thank you captain obvious
Singapore has acted very strenuously to stop urination on elevators. I don’t know that it was ever actually a significant problem there, but they treated it as such.
Just press Pee for Parking.
Oh snap, I didn`t see the sign
They /had/ to make this sign, didn’t they?
My favorite part of these signs is that they never get there unless someone has tried it before.
The elevator in my dorm complex gets peed in like once a month it’s more common. It’s not a fail just a drunk win.
Sorry everyone. I can’t make any promises… Too much coffee after going to that meeting about my late TPS reports.
Makes sense, especially when the urine alarm engages the elevator free fall system, your urine might be pushed towards your face.
lol they should have a guy watch the elevetor cameras and set off an alert every time he sees someone peeing in the elevator. I know a lot of guys who would love to embarass people for a living lol.
Dudes this is seriously a big frackin’ problem at Covenant College where I went!
Someone actually took a piss in one of the elevators in my building, they shut the elevator down for 3-4 days to clean/sanitize everything. Friggin disgusting.
You would think there would be buckets in them for when they break down and people are trapped for hours. Or just a little wastepaper basket with no holes.
My understanding is that the problem is not with people who are trapped in there for hours, but with people who are just riding to the next floor, or indeed in some cases who aren’t riding anywhere but just “using” the elevator . . .
if this sign is a failed, then we have another failed sign in the toilets of singapore. it read “Fine $150 for not flushing”. Who the hell know who is not flushing in the toilet. well singapore is a fine city.
In my school, it said “Flush twice: it’s a long way to the cafeteria.”
(No, I didn’t write it there, even if my motto has always been “Bathroom humor is an American-Standard” . . .)
I went to Jilan Province (north-east China) last year to install a machine we’d sold to a Chinese company.
I had the misfortune to share the hotel lift with some middle-aged Chinese guy who, quite openly, pissed straight into the corner of the lift car. The damndest of it is, on the ground floor (where this animal got on) there are toilets adjacent to the lift. He was just too stupid, lazy or inconsiderate to use them !
Speaking as a superintendent, I can tell you, that even WITH an obvious sign like that, someone will still do it.
If anything, the sign encourages it. LOL
At some places it isn’t so obvious… Like the country where I live.
I don’t see what’s so funny about this sign.
We have these in all the elevators here in Singapore.
You can imagine why they had to put the sign up in the first place…
isn’t it a win?
This is even sadder than when the Mythbusters have to remind people not to reinact the explosions they make at home.
Wow, I can’t decide what is the bigger fail-the sign, or the fact that they actually had to put this up? I wonder if there is a “P” button in this elevator? Maybe they should have a wet-floor sensor that will make the “P” button light up and flash on and off, with a voice yelling out to everyone that someone took a piss in the elevator? Then, if there is anyone waiting for the elevator on the floor that the perpetrator was headed to, they will all know what the person did.
