  2. Arthur Eld says:

    They tried in vain.

  3. feg says:

    third o0

    ffs

  4. Charlie Oscar Delta says:

if Vanilla were spealt right i would call this a win.

    • DrB says:

Still, I hear the chocolate’s pretty good. You can eat it right out of the tubbs.

    • Zero says:

This is from Peru. One of those places in the world where they don’t speak English. Should invade.

      • grannycatfap says:

damn Spanish beat them to it

        • ased says:

It’s allowed to reinvade even if the Spanish did it first.

I hear there’s historical precedent, even.

      • Villa says:

        Ignorance is bliss, right?.

Mimo’s is from Colombia, as I am. And I think my english is pretty good, thank you.

So both fail to you and failblog

      • Tomas says:

Before u say anything first try to educate yourself.
In Peru we know how to speak english, maybe u only speak english, and taht the reason why u post this kind of comments.

        • Cato says:

Su insulto sería más eficaz si su uso del Inglés eran competentes.

          • John says:

If you had put “fuese” instead of “eran” you should’ve win…but you fail :(

And for curry’s sake, vainilla means vanilla in spanish.

            • Cato says:

I’m not here to sneer at people who don’t know Spanish. I’m not even here to sneer at people who don’t know English (“should’ve win”?). I’m here to sneer at people who overtly claim to know a language (English) that they really don’t.

    • Angela says:

If spealt were spelt right, you would still be a fail.

      • DrB ...via 64kbs link says:

Thank you! Spealt rhymes with svelte which is just one of my very favourite words.

      • sandy va-jean says:

You mean if you spelled spelt as spealt it’s still a fail? How is it supposed to be spelled? Svelte saw and felt a welt that made him melt, it was dealt with a belt.

      • coyoteman says:

Spelt? Isn’t that some kind of grain?

      • Charlie Oscar Delta says:

sometimes i type faster than i think. besides, i’m more of a vocabulary specialist. and i acknowledge that i have not really provided an example here you will just have to take my many large words for it.

    • MMo says:

it’s in spanish, so, you can call it a win anyway

  5. JimmyMcJimbo says:

    Vainilla

  6. tejay says:

They spelled Vanilla wrong too? They dont use an i in the UK brands anyway.

  7. man says:

there’s more ice-cream in the “diet” brand

  8. grond says:

“Vainilla” is spelled right as this is a product from a Spanish speaking country. The fail seems to be the usage of an Afro-american and a Caucasian for the chocolate / vanilla flavours.

  9. A Random says:

Lol. “Vainilla” is spelled perfectly fine. This obviously isn’t an English/American brand. Want more proof? “1 Litro”

  10. wtf, that’s a win

  11. Ozark says:

I have to agree. Spelling is correct for the language, and there shouldn’t be anything wrong with acknowledging skin color, so long as one is not implied to be better than the other. Why a fail?

    • VisceralV says:

… because they’re in trouble when they launch the pistachio flavour?

      • Fielding Goodney says:

        how about a water sprite?

        ht tp://www.ceskatelevize.cz/specialy/arabela1/chyby/vodnik01.jpg

    • ased says:

But people *do* have preferences between chocolate and vanilla! There can’t *help* but be an implication that one is better than another.

Now, how do they illustrate the Neapolitan?

  12. Ozark says:

As for the size difference, whoever bought the stuff is clearly on a diet.

  13. mercy says:

FAIL from Lorito , Mimos is colombian icecream, but you can find them evrywhere in southamerica.

  14. Lee says:

It says “LITRO” on it. That should be a clue that maybe this is from a non-English speaking country. Geez, some of you people…

IMO the fail is putting human faces on cartons of ice cream in the first place.

  15. grannycatfap says:

once you’ve tasted the brownie, you’ll never go back to vanilla

    • Fielding Goodney says:

Why is using the fact that black people are brown and white people are white racist? Is it because you prefer vanilla ice cream to chocolate ice cream?

      • EvilDave says:

Apparently, it is wrong to think that black people might like chocolate ice cream.

        • kevin says:

          Well it is….

considering the fact most blacks haven’t tried grape ice cream…..We don’t really know if chocolate is a legitamate favourite

  20. Fielding Goodney says:

You gotta admit that it would look even worse if they put a white man on the chocholate ice cream box…

  21. Archon says:

Mimos is a colombian brand of ice cream, its very popular. I’m from Colombia and they have a ad campaign in different media where they play with the flavors and the races of people. this is not racist is just diversity.

    Racist Ice Cream is racist

  25. Leila - Marius's Otha Sista From Another Mista says:

  26. Fielding Goodney says:

    It´s not chocolate, it´s Afro – Vainilla!

  27. Gustav says:

I don’t see the racism here. I’ve heard people, both black and white, refer to races as chocolate and vanilla. It seems to be acceptable.

  29. DAvid says:

Actually, I’m from colombia too. The ad campaign was a blast. Some deliver truck had some attractive white people on them and said “Vanilla Gaze” While other had black people and said something like “Chocolate lips” I don’t remember exactly. And they did other flavors too, like Caramel, strawberry, etc. And (obviously) they were not race-oriented (hard to find red and gold people, really). We are a spanish speaking country, and a very diverse one. Here it was a success, and not by any chance taken as racist. Aaand FYI Mimo’s can beat the crap out of ben & jerry every day, i had them bought.

  30. megarouge says:

Who do they have on the strawberry, a Native American? And a Chinese on the lemon sherbet?

I think we’re getting a little silly about racism. Sometimes an ice cream carton is just an ice cream carton.

Just proves social customs are not the same the world around. I’m told the Japanese are horrified when they see TV shows and movies of ppeople wearing shoes in the house, and my Columbia Sportswear jacket would probably get me thrown in jail if I wore it in Germany. No, we are not all one.

    • girl says:

Why would a Columbia Sportswear jacket get you thrown in jail in Germany?

      • coyoteman says:

Their logo looks kind of like a stylized swastika. On my jacket it’s especially noticable because of the thread spacing. It obviously is nothing nazi (the company founders in fact fled the nazi’s in the late 1930′s), but in Germany they apparently will jail you even for wearing a KISS rock band shirt because the double lightning-bolt S’es look something like the Schuttestaffel (sp?) logo. So I’m guessing they would have a cow over my jacket logo too.

Ok, it is a Colombian Ice Cream brand, then why they don’t use just spanish, and avoid mixing Vainilla and Litro in Spanish with the word Brownie an english diminutive

Bien, es una marca de helados colombiano, entonces por que no usan solamente español, y evitan mezclar Vainilla y Litro en español con Brownie una diminutivo en ingles.
