wow first… haveN’t even looked at the pic
hmm not worthy anyway
third too?
Agreed. This is a win. It’s a joke.
um its not worthy cuz its a win. this guy made a joke: he used “synanym” in place of the word he couldnt spell, i.e. “synonym”
I think its pretty witty because of the double meaning
i’d consider this a win
yeah i know this cheveron, the guy there is always using the sign to post jokes.
I also live near there and can say without a doubt that this misspelling was on purpose. This Chevron’s signs are always gags. So maybe not a win, but definitely not a fail. It’s a fail to assume that every misspelling is due to idiocy. Fail post fail.
Tripple FAIL:
One for misspelling
One for wrong definition…
…and a big fatty for YOU.
SNTSFP (Say No to Stupid “First” Posts)
Triple fail.
amen
Oooh, overzealous typing FAIL on my part :/
Your “tripple” fail was a WIN. I guffawed.
It’s a joke.
And another one for the joke whooshing over your head.
here take my one too
fail or win? Seems like a good joke if intentional
it’s a wen, or maybe a won
yeah i think so…looks intanshunil
The e-, the e-, the e-, that’s all, folks!
Definitely a Viktor….Victer…. It’s a win.
Definitely intentional. Excellent win in facetiousness. Sorry, I should have sought a synanym for that one.
Intentional. A few days prior, it had been ‘synonym’, but the employees thought it would be funnier this way.
synanym is a nice word either way.
I’m pretty sure that was intentional irony, upload fail.
i think equivalent word was even harder to spell than synonym :O
This is a sign/quote win, not a fail
A quote by Ananymas.
Win
*facepalm*
O well
irony fail, was this in America? #easystereotypes
What? Are you saying Americans don’t understand irony? Or is this irony? I don’t know because IM AMERICAN! ARRGGGHHH!!
We don’t understand irony because we’re still stuck in the bronzey stage.
*age
*bukkits*
I miss the stoner age.
*builds model of Stonehenge out of saus-ages*
That’s an uncommon us-age for meat.
You mean the stoner age is over? Why do I never get those memos?
Oh wait, I do…
*rolls another memo*
Duuuuude.
wrong use of the word irony! fail!
What is a irony?
It’s a description of my old fence.
what is an synanym?
It’s a tale of my old fence
or is it an allegory of a venerable barricade?
Venereal barracuda?
It is a spice I sprinkle on my buttered toast.
it’s a small smoothing iron
I don’t know but I don’t like it. Sounds too tinny. Now “sarcasm”, there’s a woody word.
It’s like reign on your wedding day.
*shakes fist at czuhc*
I didn’t need that particular nibblet this morning. :p
It’s like goldy, or bronzy.
Obviously intentional. That’s the whole point of the joke, albeit it a little lame. Failblog fail.
The person who posted this is the fail, its a joke! Thats a win.
Wow I thought it said Skinnyman.
Seriously. Quit bothering me and learn to spell.
I use cinnamon in place of vanilla
The word ‘cinnamon’ is spelt wrong on the very sign you’re looking at.
Definitely a Win or victory
What word is spelled wrong I don’t see the fail?
This is absolutely a WIN, and an upload FAIL.
I think WIN, as well. Perhaps inadver…. unintentional, but a win nevertheless.
Win
i dont get it
Jesus would get it.
Is there another word for synonym?
My clickie says so.
Synanym rolls here! Get your Synanym rolls! Extra icing too!
If this is not a win I dunno what is.
this isn’t a fail. that gas station always has signs that are supposed to be funny… they’re joking. it’s a joke. fail on your part.
I live in Seattle and know where this sign is. This gas station always has a funny comment up. The misspelling here was intentional. It’s a win. Not a fail.
it`s a win. change its status
Win! for sure, funny too.
Upload fail. It’s always frustrating to tell a joke to people that are too stupid to realize it’s A JOKE.
As they say, if you have to explain it, it’s no longer funny.
I think it’s interesting that according to this definition “synanym” is an autology.
Or in Porky Pig’s case, one you can’t pronounce.
Joke win, upside down apostrophe fail
Duh…
Please check out my new fail video!
Please check out my new fail video!!
Considering that Seattle is one of the most literate cities in the country, and Wallingford is a fairly upscale neighborhood just down the street from UW?
Yeah. This is intentional. And hilarious.
this is no fail…
don’t worry, the grammar police are on their way.
I drive by this sign all the time and it is always something silly or funny or witty, so I’m sure it was intentional. I’m surprised anyone would think it was unintentional; maybe they think it is intentional but just not very funny?
I think i actually saw this once.
everybody get all your current and past english teachers! we must protest this! >:D
this is def a win
Why isn’t this on Epic Win FTW?
yeah, way to recognize irony, failblog. it’s not a fail if it’s a joke. and funny.
I go to this particular Chevron station (I live in Wallingford). I mentioned the misspelling to the clerks a week ago. The word synonym being incorrectly spelled is on purpose. This is a Chevron Wallingford epic win and failblog fail LOL!
Wow, the peeps at failblog seriously lack a sense of humour or wit. Kinda tragic if you think about it.
To be honest I don’t understand how this mass of blogs can be even called a company… all it is doing effectively stealing, oh sorry ‘aggregating’ material from the internet – and poorly.
The merchandise sold here really does suck, fails to make me lol. An internet hole.
If you get your kicks with an internet hole, I’m not sure you have room to talk.
But I’m talking anyway. I’m an unstoppable talking machine.
“Wow, the peeps at failblog seriously lack a sense of humour or wit. Kinda tragic if you think about it.”
But it is you who’s not LoLing.
Intelligence FAIL.
Logic FAIL. Whoever posted this didn’t get the joke. That would be funny if this site wasn’t supposed to be run whose business is ‘funny’. The joke is funny. You’re not funny. LOL
Well, look at how many posts Failblog picked up on this. So its a win for them, right?
Definitely Shopped. Look at all the triangle inside the “A”s in the sentence then look at the synAnym’s. Editing FAIL.
Oh, you’re not fooling me again. I get the joke this time.
Definitely a win. I drive past this place all the time and they always have clever signs.
This is a win for the guy who made the sign and a fail for whoever thinks this a fail.
Word.
(The upside-down apostrophe IS a tiny fail, though.)
meh.. its just a joke ..
USA! USA!
it’s a FAIL!
Sign win! Honestly, someone here lacks a sense of humor. It’s a joke.
Ask yourself, if it wasn’t a joke, why would someone put “A synonym is a word you use in place of one you can’t spell” on a sign?
maybe they should try with using a synonym xD
Wallingford is where the brainiac colony used to pupate. It’s an in-joke.
Failblog has really gone downhill- the majority of these “fails” are clearly intentional, like this one. It’s just not funny if it’s not really a fail.
FAIL = Misspelled word
WIN = Misspelled as a joke
FAIL = Joke wasn’t funny
That’s next level…
That pretty much summed it up.
WIN!
If you’d translate this to Dutch, it wouldn’t even be a spelling error.
I call win.
…The hell are you talking about?
This isn’t a fail – it was done on purpose. Can’t you see the joke?
ya this is a win
