Urine all dripping down our legs, screaming because we dropped our pacifier.
But when it comes time to vote in local elections, we either can’t be bothered or go for the corrupt guy who promises us the most candy. Then we get mad again because government is so corrupt!!!1
This is pretty much what happens when we crucify politicians every time they have an independent thought or idea. (this is independent of *insert interest group here* mind you not the political party) Wonder of wonders we end up with politicians with no thoughts or ideas.

There have to be an awful lot of people screwing up to get a bridge all the way to the point of opening in the wrong place. How did it even get past the very first stages of construction without someone noticing??
What makes you say that, while I agree it looks similar, I don’t see any distinguishable landmarks that would verify that. I do see a “Fair” Sign in the background, which makes me think it’s not in that area. I don’t know of any fairs in that area. lastly, which bridge would they be referring to?
Must it really? Do we actually care what font “FAIL” is written in? Would it be a major diplomatic crisis that could embroil the world in political turmoil and conflict if FAIL isn’t written in Impact?
~Wow, that was a logical and well-thought out conclusion~
But, seriously, no, I’m not a Communist. I was born into one of the world’s most affluent nations, famed for its electronics and cars, surrounded by business and capitalism, and my family used to be in the oil business. And before that, the mining industry. No, not workers, owners. I have a feeling this may be why I’m not too fond of Marx’s Das Kapital or Lenin’s What is to be done?
Why, you! I’m going to telegram this message with anger, post-haste!!! In the mean time, I shall listen to this wireless, and consult my Colossus Super computer!
You always were behind the times! I have recently partaken in the purchase of Logie-Baird’s new invention, a television, no less! It transmits both audio and picture, direct to one’s house!
Communist? Who said anything about a Communist? All this Communist talk about Communists makes me pretty suspicious of how much of a not Communist you really aren’t not.
This should be voted to oblivion. This isn’t fail, this is local PA politics with two groups wanting the bridge near them. They built the bridge where it was less convenient for this person. The only fail is that he turns not getting his way into a “this is a waste of taxpayer money.”
I love PA! A few miles out of Altoona there was a similar sign about a hazardous waste reclamation (6.3 million to plant trees, I guess?) that someone was unhappy about. I never looked into why.
This reminds me of the last time I went to Scottsdale. A property owner was upset about… something, and put up about 20 billboards along a major road whining about the city council.
The fact that you used “u” in humor means you are British! HAPPY TIME FUN SAUCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wtf is a “Republitear”?? Is that a Republican that is crying? Crying is sad. Stuff your sorrows in a sack. BRUSH YOUR TEETH MOM! YOURE SCARING THE WALLS! IF I EVER CATCH YOU WITH THAT BEAR AGAIN!….Sorry, I went a little crazy (or “mad” for the Brit).
How can you mess up the location of a bridge? Just follow the road to the edge of the cliff and start there till you get to the road on the other side! There how hard can that be!?
Or were they holding the blueprints sideways?
This sign is in Carbon county, north east PA, near Little Gap. The Blue Mountain ski area is in the background, and the site is at the Carbon county fair grounds. A small bridge over the Aquashacola creek was put in, so you can get from the road the ski area is on to this county road without going over another limited weight covered bridge. The local landowner thinks the new bridge road tees into the county road too close to a curve with a limited sight difference. Personally I think there is plenty of room and the landowner has his undies in a twist, maybe his land was eminent domained for the new section of the road.
Yep, I know exactly where this is and I agree with you – the new intersection is completely fine, and is an improvement over the old arrangement. I have no idea what the landowner is worked up about.
The government didn’t put this up, it belongs to the guy that owns the property that it was placed on. The municipality redid a bridge and built a new road leading to the bridge, but the road they put in comes to a junction with a high traffic road. The problem here is it that the junction is at the bottom of a hill and is a potentially dangerous intersection.
Sorry I only read the first few comments. Yeah. Someone got pissed off over nothing and acted out. I feel like the intersection is fine too. But there are a lot of big trucks that fly down that hill.
Close enough for government work.
~Look how well spent US tax dollars are!~
Not many of us are surprised when crap like this happens.
More like enraged.
More like foaming at the mouth with fury.
That too.

Lather, rinse, repeat.
Stop, drop, roll.
Dont stop get it, get it.

Ah, yes, and we all know about Winston’s superb conversational skills …

What causes you to conclude that this is a US-based sign? Other countries have both taxpayers and poor spending of those taxpayers’ money.
This is near Orvis, CO… but you are right about poor spending of taxpayer money in other countries.
There have to be an awful lot of people screwing up to get a bridge all the way to the point of opening in the wrong place. How did it even get past the very first stages of construction without someone noticing??
This sign is near the Pocono Mts in PA. Its referring to a bridge built to replace one that was falling down and only one lane.
Hahahaha. We all know they don’t have the technology to make printed signs in those other countries. Don’t be silly.
(Actually this sign does look a bit third-worldish. I like the bad right-justification and how taxpayers became 2 words )
I don’t get it…
Also, lost the game
Damnit, now I lost it too >_>
I really need to stop thinking “lost the game? Oh, that game!… crap…”.
CLICK MY NAME! NOW!!!
No, no! You can’t make me!
But you HAVE to!!! It’s for your own GOOD!!!
I finally did.
It’s rather good. Wasn’t expecting that (:
second
they r serious about it
safety FIIIRST!
Why is it saying “SAFETY FIRST”? o.O
I srsly dont get it…
Shhh… Just laugh and smile and everyone will think you did get it.
There’s nothing to get. It’s rather lame actually. You should be commended for speaking up amidst the rest of the sheep in this room.
It should be safety third.
???
It’s ALWAYS safety third around these parts.
BTW, I love your avatar!
Unfortunately, it’s not amusing.

Guess which one you are.
Pwned by Stalin.
(I was making a South park reference. ‘Twas a little obscure, I’ll admit.)
This reminds me of a comment Dennis Miller made quite a few years ago. “Remember when quality was, like, job five or six?”
Obviously, these guys do!
Dennis Miller is too intelligent for his audience. I’m his audience.
Shuldn’t it say “Safety Third?”
Nevermind, ninja’d ^

this looks like it’s on the Fraser east of Vancouver…local politics
What makes you say that, while I agree it looks similar, I don’t see any distinguishable landmarks that would verify that. I do see a “Fair” Sign in the background, which makes me think it’s not in that area. I don’t know of any fairs in that area. lastly, which bridge would they be referring to?
First off, the “e” is missing from the end of the word “Firste” as in “Safety Firste”
Second, the grammar is too poor for a Canadian ..
Note: I am NOT a smelly Canadian . .
Safety first, but location second!
I think this more of an honesty win.
lol…..SAFETY FAIL!!!
Bridge to nowhere? You betcha!
*winks*
I can see Russia from this bridge…
And I can see a tax increase right from my chair.
Close call, the sign behind it is reading “FAIR”…now only if I could find a Japanese to spell that out.
Hey! Not coor! Not coor at arr!
Don’t worry ’bout it, us Greeks do way worse than that, trust me.
Heh. How’s that economic crisis, by the way? Sounds like your country’s in a bit of a pickle!
Surprise!
Our country’s in a bit of a pickle for over 20 years now, though that incident with the Germans took the cake and now we’re worldwide losers. Again.
フェア?
Exactly.
Somehow i don’t get it
squeze
Obvious photoshop is obvious
noooo, its not
its in palmerton,
trust me
ive seen it myself,
I remember this… right outside of my house. Location is right in front of Blue Mountain Ski Resort, Palmerton, PA.
Why hasn’t anyone been outraged by the missing apostrophe yet?
Because we regard it as part of the fail.
I just assumed that WAS the fail.
I live a few miles form here. Eastern PA. Some locals are upset with the location chose for the bridge. End of story. Not a fail.
hey! the word FAIL must be written in Impact
Must it really? Do we actually care what font “FAIL” is written in? Would it be a major diplomatic crisis that could embroil the world in political turmoil and conflict if FAIL isn’t written in Impact?
…What are you, a Communist?
~Wow, that was a logical and well-thought out conclusion~

You love when idiots are confused and I love when quasi-intellectual snobby people get off on correcting “idiots”.

You have an Atlas that unravels?!
And I was born in one of the most effluent nations in the world, so there.

Join the Communists! WE HAVE BACON!
HAHA That’s in Palmerton, Pennsylvania on the road to Blue Mountain Ski Resort.
Yes it would be a crisis.
I don’t know if that’s a fail… It’s more like some douchebag with a sign making a political statement.
It’s more like some douchebag with photoshop making a political statement.
It’s more like some Photoshop with a douchebag making a political sign.
It’s more like a political sign with a douchebag eating bacon.
Bridge open at the wrong place? Back to the drawing board.
Port cull-osed.
Moatorized vehicles only.
Does that mean the openings are on the side?
YES!! Palmerton, PA!! FTW!
bridge open due AIDS?
anyway, it is a serious business there.
This should be voted to oblivion. This isn’t fail, this is local PA politics with two groups wanting the bridge near them. They built the bridge where it was less convenient for this person. The only fail is that he turns not getting his way into a “this is a waste of taxpayer money.”
Loser.
Oh, the irony. You want this “fail” voted out, and someone wanted a different vote concerning this bridge. At least the sign is humorous.
The meaning behind the sign is pointless, it is the sign itself that is entertaining.
The bridge over the River Qui.
honesty win xDD
I love PA! A few miles out of Altoona there was a similar sign about a hazardous waste reclamation (6.3 million to plant trees, I guess?) that someone was unhappy about. I never looked into why.
More like a sore loser.
Ah, electoral politics.
And at the local level . . . the lower the stakes, the more vicious the fights.
This reminds me of the last time I went to Scottsdale. A property owner was upset about… something, and put up about 20 billboards along a major road whining about the city council.
Guess how much I cared.
You win.
“If Obama built a bridge”
That’s the title of my favorite soul song of the Seventies.
The lack of humour highlights this as merely Republitears. Not really fail. Win actually.
(Un?)Fortunately, there are more Demotears than anything else in the word.
u mad?
This isn’t a fail, just clearly somebody beeyotching about the location of the bridge. Not funny.
How can you mess up the location of a bridge? Just follow the road to the edge of the cliff and start there till you get to the road on the other side! There how hard can that be!?

did somebody say photoshop?…
I think I’d call that a “win”. Somebody who knew better than the local government got one in.
The government didn’t put this up, it belongs to the guy that owns the property that it was placed on. The municipality redid a bridge and built a new road leading to the bridge, but the road they put in comes to a junction with a high traffic road. This is by my house.
Sorry I only read the first few comments. Yeah. Someone got pissed off over nothing and acted out. I feel like the intersection is fine too. But there are a lot of big trucks that fly down that hill.
This pic seems like it should belong in Oddly Specific.
fail!
this is right nex to my house. it was an epic fail. they took out th eold bridge and put in this long windy one. =/
