Yeah, I got bucked off a horse once, landed so hard I thought I’d broken at least five bones, couldn’t breathe at all and was probably making sounds like that. OMG it hurt!!! I was sure I was dying! Five minutes later, right as rain, sitting up, walking around going “oh… my … god… I’m… FINE!!!” Getting the wind knocked out of you is the weirdest thing. Hurts like you’re being crushed to death under a boulder, and some kind of weird grunting reflex takes over. So I actually sympathize with her.

I’m guessing it was a stompoff. Supposedly, the one that finishes faster wins (although I don’t know how you *finish* stomping grapes, according to Gerald Durrell, one is supposed to count one’s stomps and stop after reaching a certain number, at least in Greece, but I saw noone counting here). She tried to cheat, and BAM! Instant karma!

Besides, this seems kinda illogical. I mean, if you were to do a treadmill workout in a plastic bowl full of super slippery fruit pulp, wouldn’t it be wise to do that on some wooden construction that is much higher than the one in the video?
When the sole point of relocating the process of grape stomping from the ground onto a pedestal obviously is to ensure that any grape stomper that isn’t up to the task falls to his death (eliminating the need of dealing with an incapacitated stomper, thus cutting costs and saving time), wouldn’t it be wise to use a platform significantly higher than a mere three feet?
