You know, McDonald’s, especially foreign ones, have wedding packages. This might not have been a reception. Could be the wedding itself.

I think this couple was between church and wedding party when they feel hungry and stop to eat something. Anyways most of russian hates mcDonalds now cause they afraid to becaome so ugly fat nation as americans… And there is burger king, but i think it’s suck (mayb in russia) and mcDonalds much better. Anyways russians is not so pure now. For example 2-3 bedrooms flat without anythink niar center of moscow will costs about 700 000-800 000$ O_o And as Im web-designer I can buy about 1100 bigmacs with my 1-motn salary. Sorry for my english

It is a Russian tradition for the bride and groom to parade around town after their ceremony and have their pics taken at various city “landmarks.” When the 1st McDonald’s opened in St. Petersburg the line was around the block, it was kinda a big deal. So it makes sense that the couple stopped there for a photo op. Not really so much a failure on their part, it’s really quite common. I’d say the FAIL is on the ignorant poster.

me too! Although I may have been slightly older than that.
I remember the food being quite interesting, and well-prepared, at least to my young mind. And it was a pretty big building, and really clean and efficient-looking inside.
The McDonalds in this picture looks more like a regular american one though, with the cheap tables and umbrellas and such.

LOL!Everything about this picture is absolutely [[perfect]]: the frothy wedding at Maccas,the ciggie,the mental patient haircut of the bridesmaid,the miserable look on the groom’s face while the bride is positively beaming.
I’ve guessing this is a shotgun wedding. She’s probably pregnant and her dad,who’s in the russian mafia,gave hubby a little er,persuasion. I’m guessing a LOT of vodka was drunk that day. Poor sod. Looks like he could use a happy meal.

Hey! In some parts of the it’s nearly impossible for the every day joe to partake in McDonald’s consumption. I’m certain that the menu there was the most expensive in town, hence, the most adequate spot to do wedding photos.

That is seriously the funniest comment on here! I have actually been to that McDonald’s. It’s on Arbot Street in Moscow which is ironically known as the antique district of the city. For the record, I never saw a Burger King during any of my trips to Moscow, but I haven’t been there in a few years.

Agreed, this is not a fail because things are different in Russia. If the photo was taken a few years ago it may even be a win; when the first Russian McDonald’s opened in Moscow there were queues round the block, so getting two tables would be a coup.

I’ve been to that McDonald’s. It’s right across from the Kremlin in Moscow. There is a tradition in Russia that when a couple get married, they get professional photos done at the Kremlin, among other places.
