I hate in this pic that the face of the grandpa seems that he is so much shocked by the situation. I think the older generations had not such an relaxed handling with short dressed women. Weren’t they more “conservative” and .. you may call it “prude”.

Also, the ‘either/or’ and ‘neither/nor’ have slightly different meanings. The former means only one of these actions is beyond the capacities of Sir Kiebitz (remember him? The guy whose grammar we’re actually correcting?). The latter means he can’t speak English AND he can’t type it. Either form, however, is grammatically correct, the proper one can only be determined by the syntactical intent of the commenter.
The intent of the original commentator was that he did not know which was true, but it was one or the other. The guy who tried correcting him, in his statement, assumed to know the answer or the original question
