@Mike – HOPE. On the four way valve, the first port to use is the one straight through. That goes to the scene. The side ports are used by another engine company who can come up and attach to one side, divert some water into their pump, then a line from their truck back to the fourth last port on the valve. when the pressure from the second truck is higher than the pressure from teh hydrant, a gate valve flaps inside the four way and water flows from the hydrant to the new truck, is boosted for pressure, and back tot he valve where it then goes to the scene — all without ever having to shut off the flow of water as things are hooked up.

Actually, no. Sorry. Fail.

So, in that situation, we don’t get a crap about the interior of your illegally parked van.
They can, in one swift motion, throw the hose through the car (notice the big metal end), or they can try to push the car, damaging both it and the fire truck, possibly other things nearby especially if the pushing damages its brakes, using up fuel, etc.
yea you park your car illegally we do what we need to. It is much safer to run a hose through a car as there is less sharp objects to cut the hose, also it prevents the car from moving which could burst the hose if run over
They aren’t doing in (primarily) as punishment, they are doing it to put out the fire as quickly as possible. Fire spreads really quickly. The time they spend moving a vehicle could cost a homeowner thousands of dollars in extra fire damages.
I wonder if anyone has ever walked somewhere, walked home, only to find their car windows busted out because they parked in front of a hydrant and then noticed it’s their house on fire. That would be a really bad day.
It’s not vandalism. That’s standard policy when a car is parked in front of a hydrant. They only have a few seconds to hook up the hose straight, and this is often the best way of doing it.
They don’t have time for towing. The next best way would be to push the vehicle, but that would damage it even more.
There was likely a fire, the fire dept needed access to the hydrant, and those hoses aren’t too flexible when they’re filled with water. Their only option may have been to do what they did there lol.
Yeah, I get where you’re going with this. *wink wink*.. ‘needed to access the hydrant’.. Suurreeeeee “those hoses aren’t too flexible” rrrrriigghhhtttt, gotcha.. Feeling particularly lucky today are we?
So they can only use hydrants to fight fires that happen to be inline with the outlets on the hydrants. Good to know. And it’s impossible to take a pressurized hose up a stairwell, right?
hose line in the stairwell is a smaller diameter and eaiser to maneuver. The Large Diameter Hose(LDH) used for hydrant connections allows for large water with less friction loss. Much harder to maneuver.
Besides – quit your whining. Everything dries out but nothing unburns. Park your POS somewhere else. You probably need the exercie anyway
That is at least a 5 inch line attached to that hydrant. That hose is a big as your thigh…. Most firefighters carry 2 1/2″ inch line around. Much easier to manage.
The hose couplings on the sides are smaller than the one on the front and don’t put out as much water. Plus, there’s a car-ma aspect to this. Park like an idiot and you might get hosed.
Looks like they’re using what’s called 4 inch LDH (large diameter hose) This stuff does NOT bend well under pressure, and there is no real substitute for a large supply hose when you have a working structure fire. The person should have known better.
Ooooooh – I’ve seen something similar! An hysteric woman called the firemen to get her parrot from a tree. They DID use water. I’ll never forget the wet SPLAT! when that bird hit the ground! (It survived, no animals were harmed in this comment!)
I heard her scream “Caligula! Caliiiigulaaaaa” on the street – apparently her bird’s name. I stepped on the balcony, the firemen arrived and just 25 “Caaaliiiiiguulaaaa”s later (~2 min) they started to blow that goddamn parrot off the tree. It was hilarious, I still laugh when I think about that.
No seriously! I was sure that bird is dead, but then saw her with it, laughing happily (the woman, not the bird). Obviously all was good – although it fell about 5 meters.
Yeah, I’ve watched our cat go up trees before. She comes down when she damn well pleases, I’m not climbing three stories high up a tulip poplar with one branch in that 30 feet worth of tree between the tree and the cat. Not worth it. If she wants to go that high to tease the dog, that’s her call.
The van’s owner got off easy. They could easily have shoved the van out of the way using a firetruck and then billed the owner for any damage to the firetruck…and probably would have if that had been faster.
Obviously, in civilized countries is illegal for firemen to break car windows just because he’s poorly parked.
Ever thought about putting the fire hydrants away from the cars? That might help everybody, except the wankers who feel powerful and righteous by breaking windows and bragging about it!
It is not illegal to park next to a fire hydrant in Britain. Very often one is not aware of them because they are buried in the ground below a small grid. Just another hazard when parking in another country.
I know it’s North America, I’m just looking at it from the point of view of a visitor to the States. I would have missed the yellow strip because ours are in a different place (they are on the road). Of course, I would have noticed the No Parking lettering. But did he get what he deserved? The cost of two broken windows is a lot more than the cost of a parking fine and of course it was handed out by a kangaroo court.
Plus, this guy can’t leave until the fire department is done. (I’ll bet this is the LAST hose they disconnect.) And, there will be a cop waiting to write him a ticket for his trouble.
LOL that was the thought I just had. *standing beside car; checks watch; foot tapping impatiently; checks watch; glares at firemen (or women); checks watch; repeat*
Those big hoses aren’t very flexible over short lengths when they are full of water. I doubt they could have fished it under or around. (maybe… maybe not) If it was your house on fire I’m sure you’d rather wait for them to try another route so as to not damage an illegally parked car – or to find this guy to move it.
Almost what I was going to say Demut! Although the van should not have parked there, it seems like deliberate a**holery on the part of the fire department. “Let’s teach this guy a lesson!!”
If you bend the line too much, it will “break” (fold) instead of bending, so it’s not gonna be filled with water to its full diameter, thus constricting the water stream. Which is exactly why it’s prohibited to park near those things.
As it has been sated higher this big hose does not bend its kind of like trying to bend a steel beam and the the firefighters where not being mean just doing there job I know some firefighters and I did ask them about this when I saw the pic of the BMW like this they said its SOP for them for one its a lot quicker then moving the car and seconds matter when dealing with fire.
Yes! FD win. Jacknuts shouldn’t park in front of hydrants. I’m a firefighter, and this is the correct way to pull a line if a vehicle is in the way. There’s no way 5 inch will bend to go under the car.
I usually don’t comment on pics, but after reading the above comments, I HAD to reply.
1. Hose could have gone over, under, or around car:
As some people mention, this hose is a Large Diameter Hose(LDH) , high pressure hose. Most likely going into a firetruck, which then “splits” the available water to many different smaller hoses.
This hose is NOT going to be easily bendable, especially after water is flowing through it. If they are able to bend the hose enough to go around the vehicle, then water pressure may be severely cut off due to the bending.
Fire departments really try not to bend this type of hose as its very important to have as much water as available while fighting a fire. This type of hose is also fairly stiff without water going through it (due to protection to keep idiot from running it over and breaking it) so may not have been bendable more then they already did.
(However I would have liked to see the results if they had gone under the car, the pressure then turned on, maybe end up lifting the car?)
2. Moving the car out of the way.
There are a few problems with this as well.
If the car is an automatic, most likely its set in “park”. Attempting to push the car out of the way while in this position may tear the transmission up. In the event the person sues and won (would most likely be laughed at ) two windows are cheaper to replace then a transmission rebuild.
If there were cars in front and back at the time the windows were broken, would have been hard to push it anyway.
Most cars these days also have locking mechanisms on the stearing wheel, where you can only turn the wheel when the key is in. This would have limited the vehicle to frontwards or backwards if pushed without causing further damage. If there were cars in front or back at the time, would have been impossible.
Since it appears that at the time of the photo, there are no cars in front or back of the van, I would have to assume that others moved their cars after the firetrucks came, after they went through the van, else the owner would not have needed to park in front of the hydrant in the first place.
If there were no cars in the area when the owner parked, and he parked there just to be closer to where he was going, well he got what he deserved.
POP QUIZ:
If your house was on fire, would you want the firefighters trying to figure out a way to go around the vehicle or moving it, or would you prefer they start getting water on your house to put it out as soon as possible?
Personally, I would want them to bust a couple of windows, and get going on putting the fire out.
If I was in the car owners place (never have been, most likely never be) after parking in that location, I would expect them to bust the windows and go through the car if they needed the fire hydrant.
Dang, has posted another post, to a URL where guys who knew this guy were posting about him. Was initially on here, but missing now.
Posting urls not allowed?
Well, in a nut shell, investigated the pic a little more, and found a board of firemen who know this guy and were talking about this particular incident.
It appears that these guys know him, and while some say he was a firefighter at one time, others say he was only a boyscout “explorer” (option for 14-18yr olds to do ride alongs and work in the fire house), either way it seems that they are all irritated by him.
He even went on the board himself saying that he was an EMT, therefor required to respond.
It seems he has applied with volunteer fire departments in the area, and noone will touch him although they are actively recruiting due to a shortage.
So, it seems that him and some buddies now buy old equipment, dress up like fire fighters (even using radios and ranks on gear) and although they are not assocciated with any valid department they respond to areas they see smoke coming from.
In the case of this image, he himself posted that he seen smoke from a 1/2 mile away, and pulled in with his POV around the corner of the fire so he could “render aid”. He did not see the hydrant due to the smoke.
Seems a lot of firefighters are mad at him and his little group, because they try to respond to fires, and get in the way of “real” firefighters. (as some of them had specified)
A lot of them say that had he been a “real” fire fighter he would not have pulled in using his person vehicle, into an area where he could not see, as this could have resulting in him hitting fire fighters and/or civilians, or needed equipment.
Hence, makes me wonder if they may have gone through the windows just because of who he is lol.
However, one of the “real” fire fighters has mentioned they may sell t-shirts of this guy, and then donate the money to him to repair the windows lol.
this is a uniquely American problem due to the ridiculous design of the fire hydrants – we never have this issue in the UK as our hydrants are instead recessed into the pavements and further from the kerb edge so that cars *can’t* block them in even if they tried to. Also our fire engines carry their own water to get started with while hooking up to hydrants, as well as having the facility to siphon water from rivers, streams or ponds in rural areas.
Perhaps a gradual redisgn of the hydrant facilities over the next decade in the USA will help to prevent this ridiculous problem from continuing in perpetuity.
Sorry, it is a weather thing mere in many places. The hydrants have to be above ground level as recessed ones are very hard to dig out of deep snow and ice.
Also, have you ever know us colonists to do anything in a logical manner?
Fire engines in the US carry water also and pumps to pull water from other sources.
In the US fire hydrants are often attached to the outside of buildings, and various other designs that aren’t like this. But snow and ice are very common during certain parts of the year across most of the country, so a below ground hydrant would be complete fail.
And this “ridiculous problem” is only a problem for the a-hole breaking the law by parking in front of a fire hydrant in the first place. Wasted only a couple seconds to break this idiot’s windows, while digging through the snow could waste several life saving minutes. For every fire fighter digging for your superior UK recessed hydrants, thats another fire fighter not pulling people out of the building while there still is time.
we have that however in the city we have nothing but hydrants and yes our engines do carry water and the rural area have tankers but i think u would want to hook up to a hydrant anyway due to the fact you dont know how much water you are going to need plus i doubt in your country they might still do this if there a car parked in the way
The firefighters HAVE to do it to put out a fire but they enjoy it because of the stupidity of people who park in front of fire hydrants. My Uncle is a retired Firefighter and he had to do this many times. Oh Well. Don’t park your car in front of a hydrant and it won’t be a problem.
I’m from the UK and so we don’t have this problem with Fire Hydrants as the Fire Trucks carry their own supply of water, but looking at this picture would the problem not be solved if the faucet section of the hydrant faced the sidewalk? or is there a reason they face the road?
Another former firefighter chiming in here. As has been posted above several times, those large supply lines just do NOT bend when full of water.
Fire engines park on the street.
Large supply line hook up faces the street.
Therefore, the supply line doesn’t have to BEND to get to the engine.
For anyone who doesn’t get the fact that bending the supply line is a Bad Idea, try this little experiment at home:
Fill a glass with water. Stick a standard (non-bendy) straw in it. Drink from straw. Easy, right?
Now drink again, only this time, BEND the straw so that it is pinched. Wasn’t so easy this time, was it?
As for carrying water, yes. But I never saw a working house fire that could be put out with the 1000 gallons that the big engine in my department carried. (Small rural VFD for those who might be wondering.) The onboard water is really only enough to get you going until you *shock*gasp* get hooked up to the hydrant. Or to hold you until the water shuttle and/or tanker could get to your scene. Or if the hydrant has so little pressure that it takes nearly 20 minutes to fill said 1000 gallon tank.
Bottom line here is: the van was illegally parked. And in the fire service, you save lives first, and property second.
I believe that fire hydrants can be accessed from 3 different “faucets” as you can see in the photo, I’m not sure why they didn’t use one of the side ones other than the fact that they were pissed off.
The two on the sides are much smaller diameter ports ( 2 1/2 inch ) and their maximum flow of water us therefore substantially smaller.
Also, a four way valve doesn’t fit on them. The four way is designed so that another truck can hook into the side ports and boost pressure when they get there without having to disconnect the flow of water already in place.
The only thing wrong in this picture, is that 2 1/2 inch gate valves are not connected on the ports of the hydrant as they should be.
I love how people are ignoring the fact that by parking in front of a fire hydrant you are RISKING LIVES IN CASE OF A FIRE. Drive around the block another time douchebag and don’t put someones baby at risk because it’s so easy to park where it’s illegal to.
I hope firefighters break windows of people exhibiting this type of behavior even if they are called in to get a cat out of a tree. Then, that person will never put other peoples lives at risk for the sake of a quick parking spot.
Great items from you, man. I’ve bear in mind your stuff prior to and you’re simply too magnificent. I really like what you’ve received here, really like what you are saying and the best way wherein you say it. You are making it enjoyable and you still care for to keep it sensible. I can not wait to read much more from you. This is actually a tremendous site.
Damn illegal parkers – that’ll show ‘em!
They are the latest in cool van decorations.
But they don’t prevent you from getting hosed…
Firefighter Win
Yea I was thinking FIREFIGHTER WIN!
Notice the shattered glass along the roadside? They just love doing that.
My mistake, they probably don’t love doing it…they NEED to so the hose is straight (not kinked by moving it around the vehicle)
thats true.. i just wish i could see the idiot return to his van with a hose pipe through the window. that would be funny.
no, they totally love doing that. wouldn’t you? free permission to break stuff!!
No No, we love doing that…
P.S. Watch where you park in Northern Alberta, lest your window run afoul of my auto-punch!
This isnt as good, one guy had his BMW parked in front of one, fire company punched out both windows, put a leader hose in it so the coupling was in the car, coupling was leaking the whole time and the car filled up. good luck its a blast!! especially the Flashover trailer!
No, they love it. My ex was a FF.
yea but if u look theirs side connects so they could of dodged the car but i would do the same thing if i had the chance

That’s how the firefighters must always do the job here. Screw the guy from the car, we gotta stop the fire xD
no! no! no! no! the van just failed at jump rope practice

if in a tack-y way.
You should quit screwing around.
That would be a bit of a wrench!
just rying to hammer the point home.
I’ll file it away for later, then.
as long as you have a g-rasp of the situation.
You’re awl nuts.
i wish these pun threads would STOP, hammer time!
There was likely a fire, the fire dept needed access to the hydrant, and those hoses aren’t too flexible when they’re filled with water. Their only option may have been to do what they did there lol.
Thank you for your comment Dan, finally I understand what is going on here!
Yeah Dan, you’re slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
They can certainly curve, but not enough to get around this van.
Firefighters have tools for breaking windows. Mostly to vent smoke from the building that is on fire but occasionally they get something like this.
This guy or gal got what they deserved.
Halligan tool – best tool of all time!
*Paints red stripe down side of van*
*relieves self on van*
yay! even closer to being a first first! (1st) good pic though.
Keep trying, honey!
lol they when thro the car for no reason that’s what makes it sad
He just HAD to park exactly where the hydrant was. That’ll learn ‘em
How do we know the van wasn’t there first?
…. in a NO parking zone. Jeesh.
Maybe they installed the hydrant while he was buying smokes??
They can’t bend the hose to avoid it because of a kink would reduce water pressure too much.
This is a rare photo of the yellow anaconda. We can see how the snake starts to wrap itself around its prey, a Cryslerus Vannus.
nah, just a hose.
drops Citrullus lanatus on yourdentistsnames’ head
Do you have something heavier? ↓
Its a hose not a snake dummy. It about where not to park.
Arthur,
How about a ferrus anvillus?
We’d have to confirm the correct dropping height. After all, it would be an impact of iron on a blockhead… and we don’t want the anvil to break.
*puts geek glasses on*
I will attempt the calculations forthwith.
*expects picture of k@ in geek glasses*
Maybe we should consider dropping it pointy end first?
Friction reduction, and increased terminal velocity, ….it could work.
Don’t worry, we can make plenty of test drops.
*looks up ACME in the phone book*
*dials number*
*places order for 1 anvil*
*goes outside to wait by mailbox till it arrives*
That was quick.
*looks at fine print on packing slip*
“NOT EFFECTIVE ON ROADRUNNERS”?!?!?!
you poor, deluded, kyote b45t4rd
John Locke car.
I approve of negative reinforcement of “this is why you don’t park in front of a hydrant”.
Given the direction the hose is going in, I suspect they could have used the opening facing the camera; but doing so wouldn’t let them make a point.
The hose couplings on the sides are smaller than the one on the front and don’t put out as much water. Plus, there’s a car-ma aspect to this. Park like an idiot and you might get hosed.
I’ve seen something similar before, but with a beamer. They’d broken the windows too. So all in all, it was better…
When will those rich people learn…
yea not only that but they made a point to put a coupling in the car so it would get all wet
so thirsty
*Waters Granny*
I beg to differ with a “FAIL” caption here. This is a Firefighter WIN.
PARKING fail.
*facepalm*
*sigh*
Ohhhh my go!
*wipes palm down Guybos face*
Mwahahahahahahaha
*squeeze*
at least you keep them straight k@.
One of the reasons i like ya.
Fire Department WIN!
firefighter WIN hands down!
Firefighter WIN, no doubt!! And I guarantee 1) the windows were busted out and 2) the interior was left a bit soggy
New Jersey FAIL
ONLY in Jersey!
None of this is ONLY in Jersey. Seen it in Upstate NY, seen it in Connecticut, and seen it in Maine.
Seen it in Tasmania, Australia.
Lucky car! I wish I had a fireman’s hose in me!
I know a magic fairy who can grant your wish.
*sets fire to trousers*
*clicks heels together*
*squeeze!*
*freezes time*
*Opens back door*
*feeds a hose through to the front*
*forgets to put the fire out*
*unfreezes time*
Oops…
Anyone for spitroast?
me me me!
*looks around for two firemen*
LOL!
You don’t? What’s that then? *points*
…must have left his helmet behind
*roffles*
granny, granny, granny. how is it that you can make me blush and snort in laughter at the same time?
Ah thanks kind sir!
no…thank you. of course now I have to clean up the coffee that shot out my nose.
You haven’t learned not to drink and fail at the same time?
Sadly, no. Especially with granny around.
Looks like they’re using what’s called 4 inch LDH (large diameter hose) This stuff does NOT bend well under pressure, and there is no real substitute for a large supply hose when you have a working structure fire. The person should have known better.
I wouldn’t have minded but all it was for was a cat stuck up a tree. Equipment FAIL
what better way to get a cat out of a tree than a 4 inch JDH with high pressure?
Rubber bullets?
OK- now I feel really bad, sorry cheezpeeps.
at least the cat would climb a tree again.
Ooooooh – I’ve seen something similar! An hysteric woman called the firemen to get her parrot from a tree. They DID use water. I’ll never forget the wet SPLAT! when that bird hit the ground! (It survived, no animals were harmed in this comment!)
That’s horrifying and hilarious at the same time.
*squeeze*
She named a parrot after Caesar? wow.
That point is where video cameras come in extremely handy…I would have paid to see that!
…You could’ve just gotten a sling shot and used your vantage point from the balcony.
*squeeze!*
And ruin the fun? No way!
(At that time a friend was at my place and we just had smoked… substances. Say what you will about weed – it certainly enhanced the situation!)
For some reason, this made me think about the movie “Bio Dome” and the dude saying “No, I am God.”
is there anything better than a wet SLPAT! when no animals are harmed?
..a wet SPLAT when no animals are harmed?
No seriously! I was sure that bird is dead, but then saw her with it, laughing happily (the woman, not the bird). Obviously all was good – although it fell about 5 meters.
too bad you didn’t get video of it.
Indeed! It was pre cam phones.
No matter, it lives on in your memory…….and now ours!
Poor bird.
Don’t go get the cat–ever seen a cat skeleton in a tree?
Didn’t think so.
You ever seen a dead cat in a tree? No? That’s because THEY COME DOWN.
chainsaw?
thread reply fail
BOMBEROS WIN…!!!!!!!!!!
Poor little van, she always wanted to be a firetruck, this is the closer she ever got to the job though…
I’d say this is a Fireman WIN!!!
The best part? The fire was on the same side of the road as the hydrant.
The van’s owner got off easy. They could easily have shoved the van out of the way using a firetruck and then billed the owner for any damage to the firetruck…and probably would have if that had been faster.
Except it wouldn’t, becayse as posts upthread point out that kind of hose cannot be bent in that way and maintain water pressure.
Besides — that would give the idiot a way to leave without being dreadfully inconvenienced.
*headdesk*loserAE.
Says the desperate cry for attention.
Here, Marius. Have some cake.
*squeeeeeeeeze!*
Nom nom nom!
(Sorry, I’m in a snit today.)
Eh, no worries. It’s hard to keep your mouth shut with him around.
You’re lucky you’re no woman, Marius. Otherwise he might threat you on your website now. Anonymously, of course.
Americans are so stupid…
….and you believe no-one in your country would do something like this? Where do you live, ’cause I think I might need to move there.
*Drools*
*Gibbers*
*Squeezes*
*bigspecialsqueeze*
Probably some sandbank off the coast of India. Sportmint for President!
Obviously, in civilized countries is illegal for firemen to break car windows just because he’s poorly parked.
Ever thought about putting the fire hydrants away from the cars? That might help everybody, except the wankers who feel powerful and righteous by breaking windows and bragging about it!
STFU douchebag sympathiser. he should have damn well NOT PARKED OVER THE HYDRANT
Yellow paint and “no parking lettering” aside, a FIREHIDRANT” is a pretty internationally known “no parking” indicator!
yo dawg i heard you like water hoses so i put one in your car!
oh i see what you did there
that’s not a parking fail. that’s a FIRE DEPARTMENT EPIC WIN.
Anti-theft device WIN!
It’s just a 95 (ish) Dodge Caravan…
They aren’t worth much anyway (drove one for a while)
Parking Fail, Firefighter win 8D
agreed =]
i doubt they’ll ever park infront of a fire hydrant again.
Smashy-smashy!
KURT RUSSEL STRIKES AGAIN!!!!
My fav part is they didn’t have to break the windows, based on the direction of the hose. They just did it to teach the person a lesson.
yes they didd have to. larger spout on the curb side, smaller on footpath side(s)
Fire Fighter WIN!
WIN! for the firehose
Win for the fire department
Yes!
If I was in the car owners place (never have been, most likely never be) after parking in that location, I would expect them to bust the windows and go through the car if they needed the fire hydrant.
mayors get owned too
GOOGLE: load/epic_fail/fail_pictures/8-1-0-359
This is why the driver should not leave the windows open (for thieves to break in).
Judging by what appears to be broken glass on the pavement, and jagged edges in the window, they didn’t leave them open
Fire hydrant hose win.
Don’t screw with guys who carry big-ass axes to work.
And after the fire was put out, the firefighters called in the waaaambulance for the van’s owner.
reply win
Fire Fighter WIN!
this is a uniquely American problem due to the ridiculous design of the fire hydrants – we never have this issue in the UK as our hydrants are instead recessed into the pavements and further from the kerb edge so that cars *can’t* block them in even if they tried to.
Yes, because trucking around tonnes of water is a great idea when it’s readily available on-site.
This is not a ‘ridiculous’ problem; this is an idiot ignoring posted warnings and getting what he so richly deserved.
we have that however in the city we have nothing but hydrants and yes our engines do carry water and the rural area have tankers but i think u would want to hook up to a hydrant anyway due to the fact you dont know how much water you are going to need plus i doubt in your country they might still do this if there a car parked in the way
EXCUSE ME! PARDON ME! CUSE ME! PARDON ME! FAILURE WITH NO SIGHT AT WORK! FIREFIGHTING IS HARD…..-.-
Yup, that’s what we’re trained to do. Think about that everytime you park in front of a hydrant
Had to be in Jersey
The firefighters HAVE to do it to put out a fire but they enjoy it because of the stupidity of people who park in front of fire hydrants. My Uncle is a retired Firefighter and he had to do this many times. Oh Well. Don’t park your car in front of a hydrant and it won’t be a problem.
THIS is exactly what happens when people are stupid enough to park in front of a fire hydrant.
Fire department WIN!
As a firefighter in training… I applaud the dpt. that did this. *claps*
I’m from the UK and so we don’t have this problem with Fire Hydrants as the Fire Trucks carry their own supply of water, but looking at this picture would the problem not be solved if the faucet section of the hydrant faced the sidewalk? or is there a reason they face the road?
I would think again as I have seen this in the UK or Europe.
They actually do that all the time lol
Parking fail, or firefighter win? I’d go with the latter =)
the really shitty part is that they will do it, my step dad is a firefighter and he had to do it to a Bentley.
FIREFIGHTER WIN!
“I never saw that fire hydrant there your honor, the firemen must have put it there after i parked there”
I love how people are ignoring the fact that by parking in front of a fire hydrant you are RISKING LIVES IN CASE OF A FIRE. Drive around the block another time douchebag and don’t put someones baby at risk because it’s so easy to park where it’s illegal to.
I hope firefighters break windows of people exhibiting this type of behavior even if they are called in to get a cat out of a tree. Then, that person will never put other peoples lives at risk for the sake of a quick parking spot.
yea…they definitely didnt have to break his windows and throw the hose through…in fact tossing it over the hood would have saved more time…:P
Parking Fail – Firemen Win
That’s more of a ‘pwned’ than a fail. Probably the fire department did that.
stupid drivers..fireman win!
Uh oh! this must be a good lesson to the drivers who keep parking at the wrong place.
-seff-
Great items from you, man. I’ve bear in mind your stuff prior to and you’re simply too magnificent. I really like what you’ve received here, really like what you are saying and the best way wherein you say it. You are making it enjoyable and you still care for to keep it sensible. I can not wait to read much more from you. This is actually a tremendous site.
hahahaha lol, that will show em!
