This was done in Denmark for a biology class at (what you would call) a high-school. It was in the news, because it’s a bit unusual, but people were okay with it.
I am far from conservative but from a different standpoint – here in the US this could not fly because of how body tissue needs to be handled and FDA regulations. My husband works in a clinic and deals with semen, ovum and bloods on a daily basis. The FDA guides are tight. Now the FDA is US – so no idea what Brazil has for guidelines. And the guidelines are in place to keep lab techs from contracting a disease. This would actually be against FDA guidelines.
But I remember in school doing a blood typing lab and guess who was asked to donate blood – yup, students. I would rather have a teacher as for semen than blood from a biological standpoint.

I find this difficult to believe. Brazil is (or was) largely Roman Catholic. And the Roman Church believes that masturbation is a mortal sin. Why would a teacher ask students to do something that would send them to hell?
I’m Mexican, and as you know Mexico is also a very Catholic country. Nonetheless in my highschool they did the same, and the guys actually did it.

Maybe journalists should do a little bit of more research about the country they are writing about, at least they should check in which State is the city they’re talking about. If you read the other comments, you will see that there is a city called Campo Grande in Rio. Also we have Corumbataí in PR and SP, we uset do have 2 Anápolis here too, but one got renamed to Analândia. Of course you’re right about the picture.

Well, I just brought up Rio de Janeiro (the city) on Google maps, and did a search for Campo Grande. It brought up 5 locations all in the same neighborhood, and a sixth in the opposite end of the city. So it appears that there may be a district or neighborhood called Campo Grande, or at least a number of locations which go by that name. Funny how people are so anxious to trash – talk US citizens for not knowing the geography of far away lands, when these same people don’t even know their own local region (and are too lazy to look it up).
