Snowboard Jump Fail

These got old a long time ago.
In a galaxy far, far away
someone slept through their physics class
I bet you that every single failblogger to do better than this guy. Failbloggers are extremely athletes and they love to FAIL other athletes behind the keyboard!!!
the wall just said C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!!
Haha! Extreme athlete or not, he probably knows not to make the landing ramp taller than the launch ramp.
An excerpt from “Cold Rod”
ich bin der erste
Da.
Κλάσε μου τ’ αρχίδια.
Wow I can speak in foreign languages too. Not that I don’t understand your German, but do you understand mine?
possibly…
Your German didn’t look like their German though, which makes me think its not German at all!
The trap is found. *leaves*
*looks around at leaves*
I thought it was winter. Where did these things come from?
♫Look around, leaves are brown, and the sky is a hazy shade of winter.♪
♫All The Leaves are Brown…And The Sky Is Grey………….The Sky is Grey♪
Not even close.
Now go away, snow!
*sends some sunrays Aja’s way*
Whee!
Guess it takes 12 hours for them to reach me.
Well, considering the distance…maybe I’ll try and overnight ‘em.
Ooh I’m so excited, I can’t wait!
This won’t be an Olympic sport any time soon.
What, faceplants? I think they already compete in it.
It’s the only one I will watch.
Sponsored by North Face clothing & gear.
Not to be confused with the South Butt bobsledding events.
No, but I’m pretty sure it’s in the X-Games.
Less stunts, more focused to actually making it to the other side, next time.
snoowb
Missed it by that much?
Yes. Now pay up.
*holds out hand*
*hands over three Lindor truffles*
Will that work?
No *poke* first?
Please, no!
Then you don’t have to pay.
*hands Leila a large Toblerone*
*pokity poke poke poken*
Oh that was good.
Sorry kickermom57, but only Judy has the rights to that phrase.
Wheeeee – *BIF*?
That’s a good summary.
Pretty much. Snowboarder is being towed behind a car, going towards an “Evil Kneival” style jump with two ramps. At night. In a field. With a bunch of people standing around to watch. He goes up the ramp, but doesn’t go far enough. He manages to slam into the snowy side of the corresponding ramp on the other side. Random person powers, and cue the bicycle guy.
Then the pigs start flying.
Into the overpass.
Another example of “Here, hold my beer!”
Now we make fun of him. He jumped; we snark.
That’s the natural order of things.
This is why you should never jump to a conclusion.
Crud. That’s the only excersize I get.
It certainly helps the feeling of foreboding that it looks like the “landing ramp” is actually taller and steeper than the “take-off ramp”. Are there technical terms for these things?
Upper and downer.
Good to see you, Mel. *squeeze*
The “downer” is aptly named.
*returnsqueeze*
“Stupidity?”
Well that jump was just sNOw good was it?
Oh, hail, just give him a break.
Icy what you did there.
I’m snow board of all these puns.
There was a flurry of criticism regarding his talent and judgment after that stunt.
And after hearing his score, he stormed off.
He left before we could shower him with praise.
I don’t think he gave a sleet.
Slush, no one else has to know.
He’s just an attention hoar.
It appears that someone took a clipper to his wings.
So a Georgian walks into a bar…
Too soon.
Way, way too soon.
I am boared with these types of fails.
It’s all in the grand ski of things.
A little board Leila?
‘Sno way to fix that.
You are jumping to conclusion.
*Falls short and pun(ts)*
I must learn to scroll before commenting.
Sorry Leila.
Bah! Don’t worry about it. I am usually in trouble because I am more inclined to break them.
Should have shifted his weight.
He should have waited for his shift.
George just never quite transitioned properly out of the jungle.
A tarzan he is not.
Watch out for that…
*SPLAT!!!!*
It’s night, someone has some hip-hop noise going on and a group of people are gathered under some lights next to a truck that’s parked beside a ramp made of snow. The ground leading up to the ramp is level, but Brainiac found someone with a snowmobile to tow him. The snowmobile goes by at a pretty decent clip and we get to see what’s beyond the ramp, one of those dumbass Red-Bull cars and a landing ramp beyond that. Brainiac goes up the launch ramp, does some unimpressive trick over the car and faceplants into the broad face of the landing ramp. We get a slow motion replay in order to savor the stupidity, a generic comment from a generic commenter and cue the bicycle dude.
DOT ORG!
Yay generic commenter, yay.
*sprinkles one confetti*
I’m starting a party anyway.
*throws bukkit of confetti*
*picks up confetti and stores in vault*
Where is the bubbly? Wait, is it bad to have bubbly when you have a migraine?
… and there was much rejoicing.
*waves flag 1 millimeter*
*Touches finger to hat brim*
*Doesn’t say which one*
*slaps at Marius’ hands*
Stop that. I can’t see with the brim down like that.
The comment was, ‘did you see a man with a flat face?’, which was appropriate, since the guy flew face-first into the landing ramp.
I don’t see the fail, he was just powdering his nose, right?
At least he didn’t snort it.
He did eat it though.
Was it yellow?
:ick:
Why, yes, he did yell’ow’
Did he died it yell’Ow!?
*whispers*
Quite rightly.
Born high forever to fly
Wind velocity nil
Wanna high forever to fly
If you want a *whup* I will
Next time they might want to make the landing ramp lower than the takeoff ramp. Things might work out better that way.
You want them to put some thought into it?
Well what amazes me is that the landing ramp was actually higher than the takeoff ramp. Making them even, yeah, I could see making that mistake, but higher? It’s like they took the obstacle backwards.
Maybe he was supposed to go to the other ramp.
Naw, Brainiac just needed to coax the snowmobile dude to go faster.
He forgot to grease the ramp with BaconLube.
And kids today wonder why they should waste time studying math and physics? If I was a teacher I would make this clip (and others like it) my daily lesson plan.
I think it would amaze most kids to learn that you can calculate beforehand exactly how fast you would have to be going to make the jump. And looking at the layout of that jump, I would estimate you would be talking over 100mph. And good luck staying upright on a snowboard at those speeds.
he got that straight out of Vancouver!
It’s a trap!
Pull!
We’ve got year-round skeeters now?
*goes to buy some DEET*
I was there… lot’s of guys were clearing the jump… The snowmobile died before he got to top speed and the dude couldn’t stop in time.
Must have been global warming.
That seems inconvient. Truth?
IPCC what you did there.
Technically he didn’t jump
it must be because of the music, no wonder he hit the wall
he should have worn tighter clothes, and maybe if he farted at the peak of the ramp he would have made it. aerodynamics… aerodynamics.
For a second there I though I was watching the Olympics
the music is more of a fail
no comment.
Has anyone else noticed that we have to sit through a commercial in between EVERY video clip now??? failblog.org… FAIL!!!
Thats not funny! Did he die?!
He was going to jump over it but then he fell in love with that wall of snow
“I*’m the star of this show – why the hell should I have to chip in for gas?”
Hi, thank you very much. good job.
I aint no scientician…
…but this gentlemen might want to try reversing direction and launching from the higher ramp next time, instead of the lower one…gravity and all that.
Have these guys tought about gravity at all, building a jump like that?
Failblog caption/title writer cleverness fail.
If you can’t be funny, don’t include anything at all.
Hello friends
Just found this great forum and found it really interesting
Looking to have some good fun with you people!
Regards
It was snow cool that we got to see it in snow motion!
ah, youth. for any of you little grommets that actually care( anyone?), it’s not a mistake that the landing is higher. it’s called a step-up. they exist in snowboarding, skating, bmx, motocross, etc. When done right, they’re actually much smoother since the landing comes right at the peak of your trajectory, rather then when you’re falling earthward. buddy guy just wasn’t goin’ fast enuff.
yeah, the second ramp is higher, maybe they went the wrong direction? Actually, does it look to anyone else like the guy never let go of the tow line from the car? That would definitely effect his height, and pull him down faster.
I would say that is a WIN! It was a perfect 10 fly on the wall splat!
He did a snow angel. Literally.
that was close
+:))
+3:)
use a rocket booster!
it would be safer than what he went through!
