Took y’all long enough to notice this. That’s a north bridge half of a motherboard chipset for old Socket 7 CPUs like the AMD K6, Cyrix M2 and the second generation Pentiums. Not the Pentium II, the ones right after the original 60/66Mhz Pentium.
I went off looking for this. It’s unsurprisingly very hard to google for. But it looks likely the two of them were released in the same year – 1998 (when the later models in the K6/2 and /3 line came along, which it is built to support).
So which was announced/came to market first? Were VIA making a proud boast about what their new northbridge, with integrated graphics solution could do for your PC performance? (Unlikely!) — Or were they just unlucky, releasing what in any other year would have been a perfectly decently-named chipset (VIAgraphics, shortened, and sounding a bit like a powerful waterfall), then overshadowed by a new impotency drug which possibly had similar-ish name roots (Niagra, minus N, plus V … and sounding a bit like it has something to do with Virility)?
The integrated chip listed is the northbridge chipset for a motherboard, not a processor. The title should read “motherboard chipset fail” not processor. This is not a processor.
It’s appropriate time to make some plans for the future and it’s time to be happy. I have learn this submit and if I could I desire to counsel you some attention-grabbing things or suggestions. Perhaps you could write subsequent articles regarding this article. I want to read more issues about it!
Hi my loved one! I wish to say that this article is amazing, great written and come with approximately all significant infos. I would like to look more posts like this .
It stops processing when activated.
can only run one processor at a time after all
That’s the north-bridge, not the processor.
do you live under it?
I knew you would be all over this one Granny.lol
thanks for noticing!
*squeeze*
Yes, a chipset of some kind. But NOT a processor.
I think my computer could use that sometimes!
Nooooo, I have failed.
You sure have, dear friend.
take the blue pill, stay in wonderland and see how deep the rabbit hole goes?
supports all sockets in your motherboard
Suckettes, surely?
damn! silly me!
suckett suckett suckett!!! will I ever get it into my brain?
All the way to the brain? I hope not! Into the throat is bad enough (or so they tell me).
always up for a bit of mindf*ck
Keep an eye out, there’s a skullf*cker on the loose
that is awesome!
now with updated firmware
and chip flavour
With ER-action co-processor.
As long as it is firmware and not software we are all set
dip?
what if it’s a semi-conductor?
This one doesn’t update.. but when you date it it’ll go up
Did someone nibble on the processor?
Or rub it?
If you rub that much… you’re doing it wrong.
How do I redeem this token?
slots out back

I think it is viagra who stole the name from processor afterwards.
We didn’t notice for we weren’t looking.

We may never know XD
I heard it plugs into the socket with a single large pin…
old times in both way?
brings old machines roaring back to life
Converts an old floppy to a new hard drive?

I have special boots for that. However, I only have the one pair and am not inclined to share.
These boots are made for walking, and that’s just what they’ll do

That took me some time to process..
I laughed so hard it hertz.
it’s not THAT small
*squeeze*
Ow, you *squeezed* so hard it hertz. :p
She has a tendency to be a bit RAMmy doesn’t she?
sorry ever since this technology came out the floppy is a thing of the past.
@Jam: stop pointing them at me then!
Haven’t you heard about the new Magnetic RAM? I suppose opposites do attract.
So the north bridge runs the Hard drive?
shopped
Well someone had to say it.
i heard the ipad runs on Cialis
ahh.. isn’t this the north bridge of the chipset?! Because the name of the fail is actually one…
At least the computer will stay up.
fake photoshop bs
this motherboard really exists
http://www.motherboard.cz/mb/amptron/PM-585LMR.htm
Come on, this was funny in 2001, but today? Who remembers the K7 processor now? Or was that K6-2?
not phtotshoped. EPIC WIN
I had a computer with this northbridge
always acted a little “hard”
So computers can be “hard” to get going butt once you get them going….
I flashed my bios and it melted
Mine got so hard and hot that it exploded when i flashed it
Maybe it’s time to upgrade from flash RAM….

That chip set has been outdated since Longhorn.
This chip will temporarily make you floppy drive perform like a hard drive.
lol yes. perfect.
No photoshop – very much real. The GRA chipset from VIA.
WARNING:
with this chip set your computer will run a little bit…stiff!!
VIA GRA HT8501 Norht Brigde: OPtimized for your daily pr0n needs!!!
VAILiaga
VAILiagra
This chip makes it much better at surfing pr0n, but now it can’t seem to concentrate on anything else.
100th
Thats a real hard drive!
Complete Photoshopped fake. VIA is a chipset maker. They do not have a chipset named ‘GRA’.
I stand corrected. VIA does indeed have a GRA chipset. Who’d have thought?
Not you!
Fail? Not at all. It’s hardware, after all. With absolutely rock-solid uptime.
I hope there is no side-effect to a processor. Does the processor manufacturer know the intel? (Plays Intel Theme)
The integrated chip listed is the northbridge chipset for a motherboard, not a processor. The title should read “motherboard chipset fail” not processor. This is not a processor.
so THAT is what overclocking means
I heard it clears its cache prematurely
People need to know what processors are and what chipsets are. In this world of technology, it seems like noone knows anything! this pisses me off…
сцуко, а где же Русские???
VIA GRA – чтоб винт встал!
ok.. its funny… but… is older than the blue pills… VIA GRAfics….
Now that’s the future of sex machines!!
I guess it gets your graphics up?
