actually just Uruguay, cant drive here in Australia, cant drive in the UK, over here is aus only yesterday i saw one come off the road going around a roundabout at about 5mph 7kph, and then on a straight went no faster than 40kph averaging 37 in a 50kph zone, 50 being 30 mph
The subtitles are in Dutch
But I saw it last Sunday on tv and he said he has 2 inches left when he parks his car inside.
He has to open the door, then open the car door, get out and close both doors
And when he’s done he puts a chair in front of the door because his livingroom was small too and he needs all the room he has.
No its made in Belgium,
The program is called ” Man bijt hond ” And there is a part where they interview random people en tell them about there life xD
Like Anal Point on Family Guy! “It’s like a tight parking space! You never think you’re gonna make it in there, then you fold in the sides and you just slide right in!”
Though the black ones with the rainbow stripe were pretty cool too.
Its like someone came along… ok, here’s a box to put people and stuff in… here’s another box to put the engine in… add some wheels and windows… but for some reason the result was awesome rather than crap. A prime example of “more than the sum of it’s rubbish parts” thanks to some very clever hidden design.
In fact that old feller probably had his hand off the wheel after lining it up and the car just slid down the alleyway using those chunky, motorcycle crash-peg style rubbing strips (rubbing lumps?) like it was a kitchen drawer
If you pay attention, most videos (at least those with more than one person) are a fail for someone and a win for the other.
Anything can be a fail or a win depending on how you look at it.
Well, now we’re at a variation of the Liar’s Paradox.
The posting of this win is a fail for a ‘blog that is supposed to be about fails. Of course, their fail makes it a win, which makes it a fail, which makes it a win,….
actually i once saw something similar in the UK in burgess hill, i saw a mini reverse through a gap in bollards onto a footpath, no wider than 6 inches than the car (3 a side) probably less, and then park right next to his front door. If anyone in burgess hill sees a mini off church street, left on Cyprus street, on the right hand side of Cyprus street, thats where im talking about
I do parking much like this every day at work, taking the last wedge-shaped space that pinches down to about 2 inches wider than my mirrors before opening out again…. praying that no-one stupid or evil minded swaps for the people already there while I’m gone.
But then that’s reverse parking which is a piece of cake. Going in forwards is MUCH harder. I had to get a Panda-sized car into a garage only slightly wider than that alley (must have been made for motorcycles with sidecars or Austin Sevens or something – I planned to escape and later re-enter via the rear hatch from the start) and it was damn near impossible. Kudos, old guy.
It’s probably a fail to even remember the show _Vega$_, but Dan Tanna (Robert Urich) apparently took the concept of a studio apartment to the next level by integrating parking into it.
I had a Geo metro like that in college. We’d park in the motorcycle parking lot right in front of the dorms…the spot was marked “any parking tag” and we simply removed the “motorcycle only” part of the sign (other residents had to park a mile away in a large cage lot). It was very cool, but 3 weeks later they put the “motorcycle only” part back up (this time it was welded into the signpost instead of bolted in).
It’s in the end of the movie – he opens the door next to the door of the car through his window. this way he could open the door of the car too and now can leave the car and is even standing right in his house.
Epic win.
What’s more, once his car door is open, he has to drive backwards a little to get it open enough for him to fit trough. Then close his car door again, while pushing the car forward.
Dude, get your facts straight. Flemish is a Dutch dialect, spoken in the northern part of belgium… bout 5million people speak it, and no 2 dialects from town to town are the same. Here around HAsselt we tend th “sing” a bit
Stealing one’s language does not give the right to reclaim it for your own. Mean Belgian people! He speaks dutch with an annoying funny accent, and he should get rid of it like all Belgians should! No more, no less..
Ha it’s you Dutchies who speak a bastard form of the Antwerp dialect brought there when the Spaniards chased all the smart Flemish people into Holland, leading to your golden century.
Last time a saw a Dutch guy try something like this, he almost hit the Queen before killing some kids and smashing into a big ass lamp post. driving skills derby:1-0
Definitely Dutch-Flemish. He’s probably from my hometown haha. And his accent isn’t strong enough to be from Belgium. He’s from the way south of Holland, where I live.
They missed the best part…when he opens the door he still has to drive backwards a bit to fully open it, and when he gets out, he has to push his car forward a bit so he can close it again…
It’s definitely not Dutch. I’m Dutch, but I didn’t understand a single thing he said. I thought it was from an eastern Europe country until I read the comments that it’s from Belgium. I then watched the complete vid and although I understood a few things there, he said many more things I also didn’t understand, and some sentences were even completely different compared to the Dutch counterpart.
Haha Belgium! Proud to be Belgian.
But he is tired of all the attentions and says he’s afraid there’s gonna come busses full of Chinese people to Liederkerke, the small Flemish town.
Flemish and dutch aren’t the same in speech but they are in writing. But Flemish isn’t considered is a dialect. Dutch/Flemish is spoken in the northern part of Belgium, The Netherlands, South Afrika and Suriname.
I’ve tried, briefly won and felt very smug, then failed when it got tighter than the (rather portly – it certainly wouldn’t fit down that alley) car could actually fit. Even with the mirrors folded in. I actually lost the cover off the passenger side mirror when I had to reverse back out (5ft stone walls either side – no escape!), it caught on a protruding rock it had scraped on in the other direction, and ended up getting crunched under the wheel…
First !!!
Fail !!!
This was awesome. See old people in places other than the U.S. can drive.
actually just Uruguay, cant drive here in Australia, cant drive in the UK, over here is aus only yesterday i saw one come off the road going around a roundabout at about 5mph 7kph, and then on a straight went no faster than 40kph averaging 37 in a 50kph zone, 50 being 30 mph

Getting out is the real win!
Uruguay?
they speak dutch there?
It’s flemish (dutch from belgium) : he says “now I have to open this door”
Greetings from Belgiums
The subtitles are in Dutch

But I saw it last Sunday on tv and he said he has 2 inches left when he parks his car inside.
He has to open the door, then open the car door, get out and close both doors
And when he’s done he puts a chair in front of the door because his livingroom was small too and he needs all the room he has.
And yes, watch the whole video because the part where he closes the door is the most awesome part, not even enough room to close his door.
ja 2 inch is dus 3 cm
3 cm’s on each side of the car.
3 cm’s on each side of the car.
bakkes mongool, 3 cm langs elke kant leert luisteren
camels in a car
That’s just like my garage!
No its made in Belgium,
The program is called ” Man bijt hond ” And there is a part where they interview random people en tell them about there life xD
:p
Win !!!
Uruguay
No, YOU are gay!
wtf this is in holland saw it on the news yesterdayevening
(yes they show virals on the news in holland)
No, it’s in Belgium. It’s not even a holland accent…
joat, t’is ne vent van de vloanders! (Yes! its a guy from flanders!)

If an elderly man in the U.S. tried to do that, there would be 15 casualties.
why can’t elderly people in the US drive a car my great grand mother is 86 and can still drive a car
but it doesn’t really help as she can’t walk to it
dewd let people be childish there’s no need to flip out like that
NO!
His driving skills were empowered by Nelson Mandela.
The Air Freshener?
No, the corn field.
Like Anal Point on Family Guy! “It’s like a tight parking space! You never think you’re gonna make it in there, then you fold in the sides and you just slide right in!”
I miss my Fiat …
a red fiat panda….boy that sure brings back good memories
Word.
Primary Red (Fiat) Pandas = win
Though the black ones with the rainbow stripe were pretty cool too.
Its like someone came along… ok, here’s a box to put people and stuff in… here’s another box to put the engine in… add some wheels and windows… but for some reason the result was awesome rather than crap. Reminds me of George Shapiro somehow..
Did he died?
(someone had to do it)
Does he dies?
I recognize that song….”Back your files up with Mozy!” What can I say, they air that commercial during Glenn Beck.
OMG. You watch that “show”?
I’ll call the mental health clinic now. You need a therapy!
haha.. this is in my country belgium
thats a nice show btw
they always go looking for funny people
iff needed i could translate what he is saying!
Please do — the one is very curious. He looks like a nice old gent. Bloody good parking job — I couldn’t do that to save me life.
I don’t even know why they post wins on FAILblog.
Yo dawg, I herd u don’t like wins, so we put a fail on your failblog so u can fail while u fail.
It’s very “meta”.
Each posting of a fail is a win at being a fail ‘blog, and each posting of a win is a failure at being a fail ‘blog.
If you pay attention, most videos (at least those with more than one person) are a fail for someone and a win for the other.
Anything can be a fail or a win depending on how you look at it.
Excellent point. So would you kindly explain how this particular win can be considered a fail for anyone, from any point of view?
Well, now we’re at a variation of the Liar’s Paradox.
The posting of this win is a fail for a ‘blog that is supposed to be about fails. Of course, their fail makes it a win, which makes it a fail, which makes it a win,….
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
*frizzlizzl*

That’s nothing. I used to bullseye womp-rats in Wivelsfield out of the back of my mate’s Austin Allegro.
Robert Rankin win?
I do parking much like this every day at work, taking the last wedge-shaped space that pinches down to about 2 inches wider than my mirrors before opening out again…. praying that no-one stupid or evil minded swaps for the people already there while I’m gone.

Actually, the fail here is when his house fills with the exhaust from his car.
It’s probably a fail to even remember the show _Vega$_, but Dan Tanna (Robert Urich) apparently took the concept of a studio apartment to the next level by integrating parking into it.
And when does that happen, he shuts down his car
watch the whole video, the end is even more awesome anyway.
Lovely
Anti-theft WIN!
Have you noticed that lately, the amount of Win posted is getting dangerously proportionate to the Fail?
Who wants all those fails? What with today’s economy…
There Is Hope For Mankind Yet
Epic win.
I had a Geo metro like that in college. Wait, what?
How did he get out of the car?
I knew it!
I knew something wasn’t right about this video – I didn’t see when the car stopped and there was no failblog.org at the end.
Thanks.
Video FAIL.
It’s in the end of the movie – he opens the door next to the door of the car through his window. this way he could open the door of the car too and now can leave the car and is even standing right in his house.
Epic win.

The full version is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXqLHqEwiYw
Now if that car was wearing a condom, he’d be in trouble.
It’s “FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-”, dude.
Only in the Netherlands.
Flanders
Shut up Flanders!
Northern part of Belgium!
The man speaks Flamish, a dutch dialect.
Flemish, a dutch dialect…? Flemish is as dutch as dutch is!
Dude, get your facts straight. Flemish is a Dutch dialect, spoken in the northern part of belgium… bout 5million people speak it, and no 2 dialects from town to town are the same. Here around HAsselt we tend th “sing” a bit

Definitely Dutch-Flemish. He’s probably from my hometown haha. And his accent isn’t strong enough to be from Belgium. He’s from the way south of Holland, where I live.
Or maybe not… He’s from somewhere in the Flemish region.
He’s from Liederkerke, Flanders, Belgium.
I hope you understood that, what with my strong accent.
He is from Liederkerken, so Belgium and not Holland…
Pretty much the same for the rest of the world.
Definately NOT dutch, that’s as Belgian as a Belgian can speak
the southern part of holland has entirely different sounding accents.
doesn’t get much better than this
The dutch do like to squeeze things in tight holes…
Yes. In this case it’s a Belgian guy but dutch like it as well.
all hail “man bijt hond”, FLEMISH timekilling programme with lots of wins and fails
Sounds like a fun program!
Does that mean “man bites dog”?
Rats, my pun circuits are dead today — sorry fellow failers…
(slinks away embarrassed)
Yup, a programme from “woestijnvis” (muhaha)
Its a Garage Fail! A Garage FAIL!!! And a car fail! I say.
They missed the best part…when he opens the door he still has to drive backwards a bit to fully open it, and when he gets out, he has to push his car forward a bit so he can close it again…
you can find the whole video here:
it shows you how he gets in to his house, definitely the best part.
It’s even more of a win because the man is 82 years old. Just saw this on the news yesterday
Wtf. THE NEWS? For real?
That is so lolling xD What must people think of our Belgium rofl.
Btw, he’s 88 years old.
tis is a WIN I don’t know anyone who could park in like that man you should see the intire video at youtube or at topgear.com
I will call him god of parking if he does it backwards
Then he is a God, because if he wants to get out of his ‘garage’, he has to go backwards! He’s been doing it like this for 50 years now he said.
WIN… he has to drive out backwards
parking backwards is far easier, dude. why do you think you parallel park that way?
WHY DO THEY SHOW A PREMATURE COMMENT AT THE END OF EVERY VIDEO THE MINUTE THEY POST IT? WOULDNT IT BE BETTER TO GIVE PEOPLE MORE TIME TO COMMENT?
if you look at the timestamp properly you’ll see they select some randomly appropriate one from PREVIOUS threads, sometimes months into the past….
Man bijt hond is a great show …. especially Kabouter Wesley ….
http://www.een.be/programmas/man-bijt-hond/man-bijt-hond-kabouter-wesley-en-de-tovergieter
Who want to see it completly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QksqWRqEfy0
In Soviet Russia, cars drive YOU!
Not bad…now how does he get out?
Check the video once again and you will know. In fact, everybody here wondered then got pwned at 0:30.
If you post, why don’t you post the whole thing? Go to break dot com to see the whole video
They cut out the best part! He actually gets out of his car! Here’s the full video: http://www.deredactie.be/cm/vrtnieuws/mediatheek/redactietips/redactietips_2eNiveau/1.699639
oh 6cm! oobviously he hit the wall some times before. interesting method to get out of the car.
It also performs very well as an anti-theft system.
I used to own one of these!!
And it’s Belgian as far as I can tell, or crappy Dutch
let us presume you mean the video and not the italian car
the only problem is that the guy is depressed from all the attention he gets… :S
Haha someone from Belgium
Probably from “Man bijt hond” series :p
It’s definitely not Dutch. I’m Dutch, but I didn’t understand a single thing he said. I thought it was from an eastern Europe country until I read the comments that it’s from Belgium. I then watched the complete vid and although I understood a few things there, he said many more things I also didn’t understand, and some sentences were even completely different compared to the Dutch counterpart.
Are you familiar with the terms “dialect” and “regiolect”? I’ve heard far “worse” dialects than this, both in The Netherlands and in Flanders.
Seriously: I’m SWEDISH and understood both most of his dialect and the standard Dutch subtitles.
Feeling a need to be different from the Belgians, are we?
That is the best parking I have ever seen. But I felt claustrophobic as the car closed in on the camera.
I know this guy in real life!
Really his is a nice guy!
Belguim ^^
Haha Belgium! Proud to be Belgian.
But he is tired of all the attentions and says he’s afraid there’s gonna come busses full of Chinese people to Liederkerke, the small Flemish town.
Win for the driver.
Fail for the passenger.
Fail for the passenger.
Here the complete movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXqLHqEwiYw
Flemish and dutch aren’t the same in speech but they are in writing. But Flemish isn’t considered is a dialect. Dutch/Flemish is spoken in the northern part of Belgium, The Netherlands, South Afrika and Suriname.
This guy lives in Liedekerke (Flanders/Belgium).
100% WIN! Excellent parking!
(Has anyone else managed to drive through a [very] narrow lane?)
Be careful if you try to copy this guy, folks.
That’s gotta be fun when you’ve gotta leave in a hurry!
lol nice 1
Badass
he is not german
darn, a lot of crazy dutchies and gud old flemish ppl here
saw this vid 2 on ‘man bijt hond’. super win!
ik zag het op het RTL ochtend nieuws
Good luck backing out, buddy.
That was on the morning news in the Netherlands
So the question : Was the garage built for the car, or the car made for the garage?
Maar wat gebeurt er nu met zijn fiets?
In America, we have this thing called “space”
And in Belgium we have something called “Healthcare”
Funny detail:
This guy really hates getting in the news,
he thinks the whole world is laughing at him,
and I think he’s right ;D
Hes lazy to walk to the door O.O
