I also came here to comment it must be computer-generated. Indeed, there is only one solution to the maze (the one in the illustration). If this was a case of human error then the easy solution would most probably be the mistake, and there would have also been a legitimate (more complex) solution.

Ironically, there is not an alternate route. If that corner was closed up as it should have been then the lower left half is completely closed off from the upper right half.

I hate to point this out (no I don’t really) but if you put the maze in photoshop and you duplicate the layer. Then set the newly created layer’s blend mode to difference. Then add an exposure adjustment layer above the copy of the maze, then ALT + Click on the line between the copy of the maze and the adjustment layer to link them. Then when you play with the exposures you find that there are two places where the maze has been altered.
One is in the shortcut, precisely in the u-turn, neither the white path, nor the green crayon line maintain their integrity. Also in the upper left hand corner of the maze where you hit the dead end, the black wall has a section that does not maintain it’s integrity there either.

The thing that really made me laugh about this one is that the route marked on the map isn’t just the shortest way from one entrance to the other, it’s the ONLY way. None of the other scribbling paths meet up at all.
I expect the darn things are made by computer or something, and nobody bothers to check for difficulty.
