Christmas Decoration Win

epic fail pictures

Christmas Decoration Win

Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after two days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down.

First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by.

Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn’t realize that it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of the many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn’t take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard.

Check out more awesome Wins at Epic Win FTW!

  1. tedtedted says:

That’s just a decoration made to look like a man falling. Failblog FAIL

  2. kennyftwxd says:

id SOO take out my camera too instead of helping him :D

    • Chi Chi says:

I thought that too at first! Then I read the caption…..

      • Zigi says:

Okay now this is really bothering me. Usually there’s lots of posts calling “FAKE” or “photoshop” on a fail when there’s no clear reason to assume it isn’t real.

Now there’s a picture that obviously IS fake and people are ignoring the caption and pretending it’s real! I think I need to lay off the cough medicine… bloody colds.

  3. factory says:

The guy had to remove it because of all the people trying to rescue the mannequin… causing crashes also.

  4. Johnny Jump Up says:

Who’s doing the editing on this site now, Perez Hilton’s idiot illegal alien mother?

    • Perez Hilton's Mother says:

Yo no entiendo bien tu inglés. Por favor no me denuncies a inmigración.

      • I'm With Stupid says:

        Perez Hilton’s Mother win!

        • US Immigration Services says:

If its mother was here legally, that would be a win. Since she’s here illegally (according to the post), it is not a win. Come here legally and very few people have problems. Break the laws of the US and, for some reason, as long as it deals with breaking immigration laws, some morons just seem to think it is okay.

I wonder if I were to sneak across the border to Canada or Mexico and got caught, how much outpouring of support would I get? (Not like I’d want to go either place, but hypothetically speaking…)

          • ima mojO !!!1!!1! says:

            *megaROFLCOPTERfacepalmFOOOOOOOOOM*

          • rawr says:

Well said US Immigration Services. Mexico has some of the toughest laws regarding illegal immigration and they get mad at us when we want to crack down on our illegal immigration.
Classic example of “Do as I say, not as I do.”

            • Black Garnets, lvl 60 burglar hobbit, fanged werebunny. says:

It doesn’t help that we promote the stereotype of running to Mexico with the millions we rob and murdered for ’cause we can live like royalty there and no one would care that we killed for the money. That and our craziest college students keep leaving their underwear there.

          • Lhyzz says:

We only have so many illegal immigrants because our government makes it ridiculously difficult to immigrate here legally (as compared to the governments of other countries). If there were not such xenophobic and racist sentiments prevalent here, we would be able to make fair laws for potential citizens.

            • SueSue says:

OMG! Is the mannequin an illegal alien? They should SOOOO deport him!

            • US Immigration Services says:

Lhyzz, the United States has one of the (if not the) most open immigration policies of all the countries in the world. I’d suggest you actually look into the policies of other countries before you jump on the talking points of pro-illegal immigrants. Most Americans are not anti-immigration, they are anti-illegal immigration. There’s a difference, but I will admit that it is a whole lot easier to attack America for not allowing EVERYONE in the INSTANT they want to come than to actually look at the policies in place and work through the government to change policies that you have a problem with.

But along the same lines of thinking. I guess it’s okay if I’d like to take your car. It’s not fair that you have that car and I don’t and since, by your stated point of view, it’s too difficult for me to get the same car through normal means, it must be okay for me to steal it from you. Thanks for letting me “borrow” it. :-) I’m glad the laws that exist in our country mean nothing.

            • Beth says:

Lhyzz, You have NO idea what you’re talking about. My sister in law is here, LEGALLY, and getting all her paper work was no big deal, whereas most other countries make you jump through hoops before you can even get a long term visa. I have friends staying legally in 3 different countries, and they have to go through the ringer whenever it’s time to renew their papers.
How is giving welfare, healthcare, and food stamps to illegal immigrants xenophobic and racist? You’re clearly a moron.

              • Z says:

I’ve got a friend in the Netherlands who married a citizen and still doesn’t have resident status after like two years.

                • wolfdragon says:

can we please stop placing the blame on the immagrant and blame the system that allows them to get free healthcare, welfare and foodstamps. If I found a way to get all that for free I would do it.

              • Firebird says:

You say sister in law. is your brother an american citizen? if so, do you know anyone who’s not married to a legal citizen who’s tried to get all of their paper work?

      • sopranomom says:

        Donde esta casa de Pepe?

  5. Irish Bob says:

    Failblog.org FAIL

  6. noise says:

yeah, this is more of a Christmas Lights Diplay WIN than an install fail…

  7. Spookie Pie says:

Saw This On Another Site A Month Ago >.>

  8. FAILFAIL says:

    FAILBLOG FAIL. Totally second.

  9. Suyalus says:

    staged

  10. meh says:

The fail is that he took a picture for the internet instead of helping him/her.

  11. missdiz says:

Well- aren’t you all very up-to-date and observant. How awful for you all to be forced to see an amusing picture that you’ve already seen before. A tradegy, really.

  12. loufail says:

The fail is that now the poor man cannot defend himself if Santa tries to rape him.

  13. AprilDraven says:

wow, I haven’t seen this picture before. I thought it was a real man. Genius set up idea though.

  14. MattBrox says:

Still funny for the people who haven’t seen it :)

  15. Will says:

    This is a FAILBLOG FAIL!!!

This picutre was a joke!!! it should be a WIN!!!

  16. Ian Lamb says:

everyone shut up about FAILBLOG FAIL. its only a laught

  17. Fred says:

I hate fake fails. They are such… fails, but not in a good way.

  18. Maki says:

wouldn’t it be amusing if instead of a man, they hung out some trolls?

  19. lool I’m wondering what happened next :P PP

  20. 5 eagles says:

“help me somebody get the ladder for me ….Help..”!!!!!

  21. Hi hi says:

Yeh. The family dressed up a Scarecrow and put it there. They got a bunch of visits from Police, because people that didn’t know that it was decoration thought is was real. Eventually, they were told to take it down.
Other than that, I LOVE their creativity!

  22. ima mojO !!!1!!1! says:

    Okey dude, shit happens.

    You’ve got 2 possibilitys:

    1. Jump down – break your neck ( 70% )
    2. Jump down – survive ( 30% )

Or try to jump down without jumping down!

  23. Ruyvaert says:

    And fake.

  24. stu says:

The cool part about that picture is somebody said “haha! let me get my camera” instead of “oh, hey let me help you with your ladder.” 8-)

  25. Tillygrl says:

This is just a staged decoration. The “person” hanging from their roof is really just a scarecrow. Would have made more sense if it was considered a “win”.

  26. cardifg says:

more like “helping someone in trouble fail”

  27. chris says:

failblog fail. this was widely reported on as a christmas decoration and was taken down after too many 911 calls.

    • Cheezy_Puff.ca says:

de ja vu… there must be a glitch in the matrix….
*jumps through the window and day a really kwel matrixy flip move*
      *run’s to a phone both*
      *pic’s up phone*
      *press 0*
      “hello, Operater?”
“Link, Get me out of here!”

  28. Alex says:

This is actually a Christmas Decorations Win. Read the story that went with it:

“Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever.Great stories. But two things made me take it down.

By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn’t take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard.”

  29. Louie says:

Oh my god people! This is a picture of a prank, that guy is a dummy I saw the link on a different site. THAT IS NOT A REAL PERSON! The guy set him up to see peoples reactions.

  30. Louie says:

Exactly! Alex is right. I read the same thing.

  31. Maku says:

    Definitely Xmas Decoration WIN

  32. jam says:

OMG!!! Could this be a prank? A Christmas decoration WIN?
I wish someone would just tell me.

  33. kfksaflas says:

    that’s a dummy

  34. supacooljenn says:

wow, this is a huge decoration WIN!! and a really lame failblog fail, come on guys, get with the memes

  35. bo3rn says:

    haha*

    *quote: nelson

  36. Silverdreams says:

    snopes.com/holidays/christmas/photos/decorations.asp

Definitely a decoration WIN, not a fail.

  37. The Jamster says:

The main problem was that it was 2 days until someone realised that it was a real person and not a christmas decoration.

  38. NaughtyCat says:

    did he die?

  39. Blade says:

    This is a decorating WIN!

  40. XMan says:

Total failblog FAIL. It’s FAKE as so many others have stated. Really should be removed.

  41. sauce says:

“Don’t just stand there, take a picture!”

  42. PantsMoustache says:

Failblog Fail, saw this last week in an email with the funny story attached.

“Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after two days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down.

First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by.

By the way, she was one of the many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn’t take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard.”

  43. missdiz says:

As a side note, and a slightly more interesting topic than the endless fake/failblog fail/prank/photshop/decorating WIN balls going on above me: the ‘tags’ box in the top right reads ‘penis phallic police product’ on one line. What can I say, it tickled me!

  44. Justin Chase says:

Well at least we know that there are a few decent people left in the world still (the people who scrambled to help the guy about to fall).

  45. Shadow © says:

What I want to know is: do the trolls that annoy us so much on Failblog also go onto Epic Win FTW and proclaim, “That’s not a win, that’s a fail”?

    ;)

  46. bobbobbob says:

    FAILBLOG MASS FAIL!!

  47. QUITMANBULLDOGS! says:

The story doesnt make since but I dont really care just because its funny!

  48. happypug says:

i got a message like that and i screamed! i fell to the ground laughing! if anyone wants the message if i still have it, be my friend on loldogz and i will send you it! : )

  49. cinsellik says:

THANKS This is a decorating WIN!

  50. JeniDiver says:

That is just too funny! I love it. The jerks who insist that only one person ever in this entire country of 300 MILLION people is allowed to make this scene ever, ever in all history are just grinches. And petty. “I” never saw it before and I got a nice laugh. Those grinches who think that people should be denied a smile just because they didn’t see it the first time – or weren’t alive yet – ought to get a refresher course in being gracious. And laugh more. What could it hurt?

  51. Trojan Man says:

that is a WIN, all those idiots not realizing it was fake after days of no movement… especially the cops almost getting wrecked lol

  52. mmdallas says:

    Oh wow… HEY IT’S MICHAEL JACKSON! HE’S ALIVE! Well…not for long…:(

  53. Shadowbat says:

Actually, I call this READER FAIL! From the comments it is obvious that many of the readers are confused so let me explain. (1) This is a picture of a decoration, not of a decorator clinging for his life. (2) Failblog knew that and didn’t try to insinuate that it was the image of a Christmas decorator clinging for his life. (3) The person taking the picture probably WAS the actual decorator so did not feel inclined to try to rescue the dummy. Oh, wait. Those who don’t understand that didn’t read the submitter’s caption and won’t read this either. Never mind.

  54. Zack says:

    Aw man…I wanna try that…

  55. Preston says:

I think this should be a WIN

  56. Jordan says:

NO WAY! I live by that house!

  57. Andrew Ong says:

    Christmas Decoration worker fail.

  58. The only fail here is that they took the guy’s picture instead of rushing to help him before he lost his grip.

  59. Jade says:

If I wasn’t in a relationship, I would totally track this guy down and ask him to marry me. I adore his sense of humor!

  60. fish says:

    Epic WIN imo

  61. BH says:

Wow, I can’t believe the number of idiots commenting here. All those complaining it should be a Win, look at the headline… all those saying fail was to take a picture first before helping him, read the caption. Doesn’t anyone pay attention anymore, especially before posting dumb comments… Comment Fail.

    • mjc says:

Only idiot I see here is you. Nowhere is it indicated that the fail is because the picture was taken. And why should it be, considering that it’s not an actual person, it’s a decoration. So yes, the picture should be labeled win, not fail. And you should try taking your own advice and pay attention before you post dumb comments.

Comment fail indeed, only the fail is your comment, not everyone else’s.

  62. Jonny says:

    Clark Griswold!

  63. brad says:

Hahaha, my dad just sent this to me from one of his friends! I didn’t think I’d see it on failblog.

  64. QUITMANBULLDOGS! says:

I think its just plain funny even if it involves somebody getting hurt or possibly climbing back on the roof.

(sorry if i miss spelled something)

  65. cbaba says:

haha wow. i actually know the person who did this.

  66. MENOTYOU says:

    I thought it was hilarious.

  67. smilr says:

From my point of view: we have several Human Being WINS from people willing to go to extremes (driving up off the street and onto private property to reach those in need faster, an elderly lady putting forth effort to manipulate and climb a large ladder) to save (what they believed to be) a human from injury / death.

Their efforts are no less awesome for having been misled by a realistic holiday decoration.

  68. GOI says:

You people are forgetting what Failing is really about. Less bickering about unimportant crap, more failing, okay? :D

  69. katieabc2 says:

wow, your neighbors are nice. I bet my right arm that if I put up a fake person hanging from the roof no one would do anything. Probably throw stuff at it them bastards -_-

  70. QUITMANBULLDOGS! says:

    Merry Christmas of 2009!

  71. Silly says:

Why were they in his yard in the first place?!

    • QUITMANBULLDOGS! says:

Well if you read some of the comments …..some……
they say that this is a decoration of someone clinging for their life. I waste my time reading comments but Its fine because I can answer somebodys question…….:)

  72. Tigon says:

    How… cruel. xD

  73. kezia says:

you made an even bigger fail you put win for the title and fail on the picture. wtf

  74. A-man says:

And the person took a photo instead of helping…..

  75. weeeee says:

Whoever posted this failed, the title says Christmas Decoration Win but in the picture it says Fail.

  76. oh great says:

    WAOH
    wait…
    IDK THAT WAS FAKE……
    EPIC FAIL ON MY PART
    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!111!111!

  77. Håndbånånå says:

    classic,

  78. Katie says:

its even funnier cuz he has one of those uber ladders.

  79. meh says:

    massive massquote
