We here at FAILBlog HQ put our heads together and came up with a list of candidates for the top FAILs around the world, the top FAIL people, and the top FAILBlog videos and pictures of 2009. So now it’s your turn — vote for your favorite FAILs of the year! And if you want to add your own suggestion, let us know who or what deserves the FAIL award in the comments.

Personally, I’d have also put Kate and John Gosselin BOTH as a fail – As bad as John’s affair was, there was plenty of evidence that Kate is little better, going around as a publicity hog, and being home so little that it’s not really surprising that John turned to someone else for affection, that was actually there helping him with the kids.

Thanks I have been outside the US, a number of times. Iraq vet here jacka$$. And Palin clearly implied that Russia could be seen from land (not just the tiny island pop 150) in Alaska, and that having such a “vision” gave her foreign policy experience. Glenn Beck lied when he said recently that $1.4 million of stimulus momey was used to repair a door at Dyess AFB. The doors repaired were aircraft hangar doors and the cost was not $1.4 million.
The cost was $246000 out of $1.4 million in repairs funding.
I only did a few minutes’ reserach, as I said…but it’s quite clear that Beck is exposed as a liar.
My favourite though, is Beck going on about how compassionate he’d become after being failed by the expensive private health system last year when he got his dangling grapes removed, said he was all suicidal…..and only a couple of months ago screamed like an effete banshee at a woman on his radio show.

Obama has gone WAY past anything FDR even dreamed of and we are about to have a depression unlike anything this country’s ever seen. It will make FDR’s depression look like a hiccup. Your view on the great depression is wrong. FDR’s biggest failures was cutting back on public investment in 1937, at the urging of conservatives. Obama’s biggest mistake was cutting down the size of the stimulus, at the urging of conservatives. Couple these facts with the reality that the economy has done better under liberals than conservatives for the past 100 years, and you have a refutation of conservative economic nostrums that are deniable only to those who have a reason to obscure the truth. Conservatives are the puppets/mouthpieces of the monied elite.

The reason this counts as the worst economic failure in history is because fact reporting has changed. The statistic you hear about as “unemployment” only counts people who have been unemployed for 6 months. Beyond that, its called “willfully indigent” or some other official sounding name, and is *NOT* counted in the statistic you and everyone sees. The number people in the US who remain unemployed at this moment is closer to 18%, not the 10 or less percent so frequently reported by media outlets. Worse, the homeless rates are up as well… where do you think all those people went with bad loans? They certainly didnt get to stay in those houses. The wrong facts, and not enough of the factrs, are being reported. Think beyond your Daily Beckness. And for the poster “Chris” Keep hiding under that white sheet dude, makes you easier to spot.
