My folks would cut the breaker to the stove at night so he wouldn’t burn the house down. My poor grandfather would spend many an hour the next day on the phone with Com Edison because for the life of him he couldn’t figure out why the stove wouldn’t work yet everything else in the house did. This happened so many times I think my grandfather became a little more insane.
