I’ve been feeling badly all day wanting some way to make up with all the people that seemed hurt or angry or even confused by my remarks. I seriously thought maybe I should just quit. I couldn’t even join in the cuddle puddle, which is one of my favorite events on FB!

I’m opinionated and vociferous but I never want it to be at the expense of anyone else. It’s hard when some of your main interests are religion and politics, lol. *Especially* when the people around you aren’t of a like mindset. Everyone comes from their own experiences and point-of-view and I find it fascinating learning what makes people tick. I actually like it when people open me up to those opposing viewpoints. I’d like to be intellectually honest enough to be persuaded by a good argument.

Sometimes, though, people take offense where none is intended. It seems like the art of graciously disagreeing and listening is being replaced with so much acrimony and personal attacks. I know sometimes I have to take a deep breath when I hear certain things that push my buttons. I think it’s more important to be loving than to always have to be right and get the last word. I want y’all to know that you are loved. I’m very imperfect and I don’t always live up to my ideals, so I hope y’all will bear with me.

Im so glad you guys appreciated my costume…My brother-in-law, Jacob, is the one in my costume. I had been reading about the facebook costumes and thought that being a failed failblog post is so much better.

Just and FYI, I have the PDF of the costume and you can print it out (about 40 sheets) and make the costume yourself.
