» 20 Failures in Communication

  1. anon says:

they know exactly what it means.
    welcome to patriotism.

  2. Yudo Nomi says:

    @ anon

    Main Entry: pa·tri·ot·ism
    Pronunciation: \ˈpā-trē-ə-ˌti-zəm
    Function: noun
“Love for or devotion to one’s country”.

Nope, don’t see anything there about putting your balls in the face of those with different viewpoints. Must be a Republican thing.

  3. epicwin says:

    @Yudo Nomi:

Of course its a Republican thing! You know Obama isn’t the first black president, just the first to NOT have their faces whapped by our powdered white testicles!

  4. Mike says:

hey man, putting your balls in some dude’s mouth as patriotic as it gets! Washington put his balls in King George’s mouth! Lincoln put his balls in Davis’ mouth! The japanese put their balls in our mouth, and then we kicked their asses! Get with the program.

Also, i like the tea party protesters because they now say “teabag” on CNN on a regular basis.

  5. hillel.kitty says:

@Yudo – LOL! Maybe people just have a kinky way of expressing love for their nation.

  6. Malfeasance says:

As you may notice from the other comments, Yudo, when rightwingers do something monumentally stupid, they think that means it deserves a monument.

(Another example would be the switch from “we don’t torture” to “we have to and should and it’s now a great American value unless we catch a Democrat doing it,” the millisecond all deniability was lost.

  7. Crikey says:

Why am I suddenly reminded of half the dialogues from “Team America: World Police?”

  8. A Noun says:

Ugh! So much for “don’t get sick.”

  9. powermuffin says:

So help me out here… the government is now a great and benevolent thing now that a D is in office, right?

This reminds me of the neo-cons and how Bush could do no wrong. It seems the only ones who get it are third party voters.

  10. Mike says:

Look, I believe that every government, because it relies on people, is going to be flawed. Nothing is perfect under any conditions. However, I do feel that we are better off under Obama than we were under Bush. I am critical of some of things Obama has done, but I continue to support him.

  11. Kwakerjak says:

Uh, they do know what it means. That’s why they never use it–the only folks who do are people who are trying to marginalize them, like Jeanene Garafalo or Bill Maher.

  12. Fred says:

None of you libtards seem to realise that the Tea Party protesters don’t actually call themselves “teabaggers”. That’s what their enemies call them.

Morons. No wonder you voted for Obama.

  13. Yudo Nomi says:

They say that Democracy is the worst form of government…except all the others that have been tried.

  14. EgregiousCharles says:

As has already been pointed out, the enemies of Tea Party protesters are the only ones using the term. They might as well say “Rethuglican”, or perhaps “poopyheads”. These journalists never matured past kindergarten. Pathetic that so much of the national debate is carried on at this level. It’s bad enough in a comment thread let alone pretending to be journalism.

  15. Billy Pilgrim says:

I just want to point out that the real Tea Party was about taxation without representation, therefore the modern tea parties are painfully idiotic. OH, but the people who voted for Obama are the morons. At least we learn from history.

  16. Taxman says:

See, you guys are showing the real problem…arguing over what these people are really called. I think we should spend more time not paying any attention to them, as they really are just stupid people. Anything Glenn Beck supports is probably bad for this country. Just my political point of view there.

  17. Creative Anarchy says:

I was allways taught that non-consentual acts were never an expression of love. I guess maybe this brave new Patriotism has a lot in common with domestic abuse and rape.

  18. Guy that knows too much says:

keep it a secret if they dont know. we will be ROFL when they embarrass themselves
