It's a Renault 5. To make it worse, it's one of the few euro compacts that actually WERE sold in the states, so there's far less excuse. And, actually, not a bad car - almost had one for my first (then veered off towards VW). Just not cut out for towing, and runs just as badly as any old car if you keep it for 10 years without maintaining it properly then drive everywhere with the choke out.
