Hurray! I’m a pretty big Gary Larson fan. I’ve read most of his cartoons. According to him, his drawings are loved by scientists, because of the biological in-jokes in them.
True, he has a large following in the scientific community. I have a few of his books. He graduated from the same college as I did.

The Land before Time, there were no planes. Only pterodactyl (correct me if it is wrong) flies. Go back to 1,000,000 BC, toy makers.

I saw that movie when I was 8-ish, and that was a few years after its release, so this is either old or a Photoshop.

I always thought the myriad of sequels, with the addition of songs and direct-to-video animation quality, looked too stupid to watch. Now I’m questioning that decision. Clearly an awesome movie must have snuck into that bunch at one point.

Well if you end up in some Dinosaur land, what else would a kid want to defend himself? Guns and fighter jets seem like a completely reasonable dino defense

And for those asking, both the original Transformers series and the most-recent Transformers Animated series had the Dinobots, which featured Grimlock (a transforming T-Rex) and at least two others (T:A had a Pterosaur and one other, while I think the original series had 3 or 4 others to go with Grimlock).
Transformers: Beast Wars had Dinobot (a velociraptor) and its version of Megatron (started out as a T-rex, IIRC, but became a dragon by series end). BW was a bit confusing unless you watched it in order, as it turned out to be both Sequel AND Prequel to the original series. The cast were from the future of the original timeline, thrown backward in time to Earth about 1 million BC, but didn’t initally realize it – and then when they did, the good guys had to protect the Autobots from being destroyed by the new Megatron (who wanted to cause a temporal paradox that would make the Decepticons unopposed – The ship with the Autobots and some of the Decepticons aboard had crashed millions of years before, but the occupants didn’t wake up till the 1980s).
Yes, it scares me too that I know so much about the series. Though, the episode of BW with the death of Dinobot (in its original edit – was butchered in repeats), a “bad guy” who changed sides after realizing that Megatron was not only dishonorable, but insane, was probably one of the most moving of the series – it began with Dinobot doing his spin on Hamlet, and got more intense from there – not what you expect from an American “kid’s” TV series.
