Not necessarily looks like the lift failed so rather than one of the guys there just not unloading it correctly its a matter of the transport company not properly maintaing there equipment.

They were attempting to load it into the car carrier, and the lift gate broke. It happened across the street from where I work in irvine. The worst part, it was an Aston Martin with about 70k worth of upgrades.

Actually your wrong about the amount of damage. Replacing the rear bumper will be required but its going to be far far more than a few paint scars. The exhaust system will have been shoved forward, depending on how badly its not it could have damaged things right the way up to the extractors or it could have folded back further, still, at a minimum the rear resonator and tail pipe section will have to be replaced. Beyond that the impact has popped the boot open, that means that the rear bumper has moved upwards which means the rear lights have moved, if you take a close look at the picture you can see where the panels above the lights have moved outwards due to the lights being pushed upwards. Seeing as those rear guards are a single piece it means that they have to be panel beaten back in to place and fixed there (should really be leaded but most panel shops would just beat and bog, being an Aston it might be done properly) rather than replaced. Its a hell of a lot more than “replace the rear bar and thats it” not to mention that the front bar will be scarred up from the lift. All in all its not exactly what you want for your pride and joy. Also, Vantage is kinda a weak second runner, the only reason it sounds good is because of a tweaked exhaust (it sounds the way it sounds because engineers wanted it to sound that way, not because its got a lot of power) and its not that fast, nor is the chassis that good. The DB9 and DBS are both much much better cars, but if you want to go to the best Aston around its the Vanquish but they have knocked it out of production for now. Cross fingers that they bring back a new one soon as the DBS isnt better enough (I know thats bad english) than the DB9 to warrant the price increase.
