Actually the trolls have helped to shape the community into what it is. The site gets attacked and the regulars have had to band together just to keep it from being simply a laundry list of cuss words and firsts. Most threads start as a comment on the pic and just take on a life of their own.

Actually, I agree that the comments here are no fun anymore.

There used to be a lot of smart people and hilarious remarks about the pics here but lately there is so much extraneous crap that you can’t even find the good stuff.

I don’t think the commenter wanted to deny anyone a venue for their brainless self-absorbed gibberish, he just wished there was also a place for the smart funny people to joke about the failblog pics.

I’ve pretty much stopped looking here for the funny commentary… I was just checking to see if anyone had posted on the origin of the hubcaps. Of course, it is hard to tell because it is such a pain to wade though all the junk.

I think the point is that you can be a twit anywhere, but this is really the only place for people to have fun joking about these pics.

There actually is something to that. But, there are not that many barcodes in use these days. Those codes can sometimes be identical, to other products. Assuming of course that those items are unlikely to be sold in the same establishment. I hate the fact that I've worked retail as many years as I did.

I think his short stories and novellas are best (Skeleton Crew, Nightmares and Dreamscapes, Four Past Midnight, Different Seasons), have never read It or the Strand funnily enough and only read the Subtle Knife by Phillip Pullman!

yes, The Stand is probably my favorite. I love the Dark Tower series and when I was reading it I wanted one of the symbols as a tattoo, but I can’t remember which one. Did not like IT at all. then after reading Dark Tower, I needed a break. So I read Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, and now I am finishing book 3 in Philip Pullman’s Golden compass trilogy. I highly recomend it.
