Ya, the ice on Lake Louise isn’t actually that thin… expect about a dozen metres to the right where there’s open water.

They put up the ‘thin ice’ signs just in case someone DOES go through, the Chateau Lake Louise can point at the sign and say “I told you so!”

Holy shit, I was at that lake yesterday! I fell through thin ice too, though at an unlabeled area.

This guy probably can’t read English – there were a lot of tourists from Russia, Germany, and Mexico there yesterday.
