People SEND Failblog those videos…. They don’t TAKE them. Therefore the “copy Right” (Which there usually is none because most are home videos and news clips and what not) is surrendered. You have to CLAIM work. and PUT (c) on it for it to be your Copyrighted video. I don’t see many home videos or newsclips that put (c) This video is property of “ABCDEF” or FBI WARNING or anything.

I think that people getting mad about it keeps it going. If everyone just ignored the person as if he didn’t exist for the ENTIRE discussion wherein he said it, then it would probably stop. I haven’t seen ‘first’ on Youtube in a while, actually . . . .

I found this post while searching Google to try to find out how to get you kicked off YouTube. I guess you were already but somehow you’re back? Oh well, I’ll keep trying. If you’re wondering why, it’s because all you’re doing is taking other people’s videos and re-uploading them with your logo. Real tough to become popular by doing that. Pricks. Go create something of your own instead of stealing from other people.

This isn’t the first time something like this happened, atleast you got your video’s back, but this did not happen for a guy called Athene, quite popular amongst World of Warcraft’ers. He basically had a very popular channel that was more popular than YouTube’s corporate partners/business bullshit, so therfore they removed ALL of his vids, simply because he had the most views and was number one for a week or something. You can probably find it if you google it.

I wasn’t intending to start a political discussion, but the lol sites share the same rep, if someone down at failtube wants to harass pundit kitchen, but cant because they dont post videos, then harass fail instead.

The issues you have with YouTube are symptomatic of all the Services/Sites Google has been snapping up lately. Try getting customer service on Feedburner and you’ll see what I mean.

They are less tyrannical and allow higher quality vids nor do they downgrade the video quality, as youtube does.

Freedom of speech isn’t an action, it’s a right. You can’t freedom of speech. You can EXERCISE freedom of speech, of course. Howser doesn’t seem to get grammar.

He also doesn’t seem to get that YouTube deciding to take something down from its private site does not impact free speech in any way, since it’s not a compulsory government action restricting speech.

Does Howser think that when he refuses to read someone’s book, he’s restricting that person’s freedom of speech? FASCIST

Youtube’s censorship has gotten quite out of hand. I think people who rely on video content need to stop supporting them, and bowing to their arbitrarily puritanical controls over content distributed on the internet. There are other video sharing sites that have wholly open policies. And considering that failblog embeds all of its youtube videos onto their website proper, they would suffer little disadvantage by going elsewhere for their hosting.
