  20. Ant says:

    FAIL FAIL.

It’s an ad for a funeral service. It’s supposed to be there. It’s funny.

  21. dnak says:

It’s not an ad placement fail. The ad place is intended to be like this.

  22. wolle says:

I don’t mean to spoil this, I really like the Idea… but did anyone see that this funeral service is actually situated in Berlin? Why should they do an ad in English, then? This does seem a bit fake, doesn’t it?

  23. L.A. says:

    It’s an obvious FAKE!
    the letters do not curve
    Photoshoped!

  24. Norbert says:

  44. JR says:

Actually, read the sign and you’ll see it’s an EPIC WIN

  45. Philipp says:

Sorry to say that but that might ba a failblog fail in several ways:

The campaign is a funeral company campaign, the place has been chosen purposeful. So this is not a blunder, but just a matter of bad taste or cool marketing (depending on your piont of view). Secondly, the bottom line gives a Berlin address, but the subway station is located in Hamburg (U2, Messehallen). (OK, of course they might sit in Berlin and advertise in a 300-km-away city.)

  46. Mike says:

I took this picture (they must have stolen it from my photobucket page) back in December of 2006 at a train station in Germany. Somewhere between Cologne and Bonn. It’s an ad for a funeral home out there.

    • aphexZero says:

Sorry, this is taken in Hamburg (Messehallen), not between Cologne and Bonn!
So NO you didn’t take this picture!!!
      Tststs…

  47. tolmasoff says:

    that’s not fail.
it’s an adversitement for ritual services
    so that’s actually WIN

  48. KBJ says:

This is an ad placement WIN. What’s wrong with a funeral service company trying to drum up a little business?

    Yep, Epic Clever Ad Win.

So, this fail is a fail. How ironic – if it didn’t happen so often.

  65. vomitman1221 says:

I get the fact that it’s funny because it’s behind the subway tracks, but i mean it IS behind the subway. Shouldn’t there be a train parked in front of the sign half of the time?????

  66. Secre says:

Am I the only one who had an image fail when I attempted to view the image? No image shows up. So I can’t laugh at the funny funeral ad :( … I’m sad.

There’s an undertaker called Bergemann (but without a son ;-) at Jonasstrasse 7 in Berlin: http://www.bbest.de

Looking at their rather obscure website it’s highly unlikely they are using this kind of PR. The station looks to me like a computer rendering of a 3D model.
