  14. TasteTester says:

How is this a FAIL? ShinyCat in Sauce is delicious! Although, y’know, they cheat on the sauce. The ingredients list says it’s made from chicken.

I’m from germany – saw those a while ago in a local supermarket I couldn’t stop laughing xD

  23. RL says:

For some reason, my previous comments auf Deutsch were deleted. All I wrote was:

    - “Ich kann hast Käzeburger?” (which is German for “I can has cheezburger?”)

    - “Das ist nicht Käseburger, es ist Katzeburger!” (which is German for “This isn’t cheezburger, it’s catburger!”)

  25. NOT FAIL says:

This is not fail. This is Engrish. And there is a difference. The real fail is posting this as fail.

  26. Jaybe says:

Totally brilliant and observant. Well done!

  27. AGerm(-an) says:

RL: Your german is fail. The correct translation of “I can has cheezburger?” is
“Kann ich einen Cheeseburger (“Käseburger” does not exist) haben?” Am I right with the presumption that you just put it in an online-translator?
Another “strange” thing on that picture is the combination of tuna and chicken on the left package.

    • -me says:

Darf ich einen Cheeseburger haben? = May I have a Cheeseburger?

      It’s a matter of permission.

Kann ich = Can I? (a matter of ability)

      or

Kann ich = Do I know? (Kennen = to be familiar with, as in a person or a language.)

Deutsch faelt durch! = German fail! (Sorry, I can’t find my umlaut on a US keyboard.)

  28. Cam says:

I thought I was looking at gimpet :P

  29. sepsis says:

i never thought a dumb name for catfood could be so amusing for native speakers. the germans are experts on failing in use of the english language (and we don’t even need spelling errors for that…)

  30. Jazz says:

    It`s German :)
I`m German living in Germany ;)
    And i can tell it`s german….but I didn`t get the FAIL in here…
The left shows a box with tuna and chicken and the right shows a box with tuna and something else…

    • Coern says:

please don’t create the image that germans are idiots….I’m german too and I wonder: “how can you NOT understand the joke??” und wie tuna with something else….? kennste keine Makrele oder watt?

  31. Yoshimad123 says:

Hmm, I think this qualifies as a lolcat, a fail and an engrish spelling.

    • Toreno says:

This is NOT engrish. It’s actually german, the “S” in “Sauce” is capitalized… But still, it sounds pretty strange lol.
