You want to protect your children and your children’s children, then you educate and show them everything to the point that it gets so boring (like a chin; I know some people get off on this, but it was the best I could think of at the time) so that they don’t think to get curious or ‘get-off’; like some people do when they think they are doing something ‘naughty’. It’s always such a dirty little secret, instead of it being a reality in human relationships.

I’m not saying that they should know everything about how extreme/twisted some people can be (reference KINK or other tv shows), but giving them the basics and letting them know it’s natural, (including maturbation, which most people shy from in thier sex talks – including my family) is the only way to prevent it from being ‘naughty’ and therefore, a high to some by making it a ‘dirty little secret’ to be hidden.

Sex is as natural as eating and seeking shelter; it’s instinctual and as such, a need. We all know that certain needs in life have to be met and this is no exception.

Some call it desensitization. If a child sees something enough, they don’t think it’s something special or any reason to hide from (nudity, drugs, alcohol, sex, etc…) , it’s just a part of their life that they need to know about (much like war, or not petting a rattle snake…,99.99% of people when given the knowledge, (hopefully) will not pet the rattlesnake the .01% that does, unfortuately, are probably the same people that would do any of the thousands of things that can endanger their lives and the lives of others.)

Give them the facts and let them make up their own minds as to what is right for them. Go with your gut on this as a lot of stuff is still ‘age appropriate’, but letting them know what a penis looks like shouldn’t even be a second thought. (Especially since breasts seem to no longer be an issue) Even for myself (16-turning 17; and losing my virginity–many years ago), I was surprsed at what a penis looked like.

“It” was scary and intimidating, but at the time, I knew physically (not mentally) that I was ‘ready’.
(No matter what, it’s not your life, you can do your best to help and protect them and they may not choose what you think is right, but this is their life, and their mistakes,…you made/are making your own) this is something that I realized for myself as a teenager; it had to be right for me. I didn’t care who I affected at the time, just so long as it was right for me. I know now that I hurt the people that loved me, (but at the time ‘I could have given a rat’s ass). I’ve read stories of children raised on nudist camps where they find fully clothed people (to the extreme) more of a sexual turn-on than a stripper.

So is it really nudity that is the issue or the ‘dirty little secret’ behind it…
