Look at it this way: because the lecturer is unintelligible and moves through topics too quickly, I have no incentive to show up other than for the sake of appearance (and no incentive to pay attention; I’ve tried, it’s useless). Therefore, either I will show up to class and failblog, or I will skip class and failblog. I feel that the least I can do is make the point that I give at least a small shit about the class by showing up, even if all I do is f**k around on the internets and download the notes later.
