The bunker is in Kelvedon Hatch in the U.K, but I think that sign is the one in Chipping Ongar where my boyfriend lives. We always laugh about it when we drive past it!

Its pretty cool down there. The entrance is a rather long tunnel with a pillbox at one end, so if anybody did get in that wasn’t meant to they could be shot

right clear it up. i live in brentwood (in england) and it was a secret nuclear bunker. but in the 1970s or so the government sold it. (it was meant for the important people if we had a nuclear war. its now a tourist attraction. its very impressive. the enterance to it is a little hut in the woods. cant be seen. * see fallout 3* looks exactly like it

This is not fake – it really does say Secret Nuclear Bunker in real life. I’ve never even see the sign in real life as I live nowhere near those places, but I know it’s real because in Britain, tourist attractions, or places of historical interest, have a brown background on our road signs, and I’ve heard of this place before; a memory of the cold war.

It’s up the road from where I live.

It would be more accurate if the sign said “Decommissioned And Formerly Secret Nuclear Bunker”, being as it’s now in private ownership and run as a tourist attraction; has been for some time. A bit longer than the sign has been around, strangely enough.
