Russian (and I believe Eastern Europe) geography concept states that there are 6 continents not to be confused with 6 parts of the world.
Namely – continents:
Eurasia
Africa
North America
South America
Australia
Antarctica

Parts of the world:
Europe
Asia
Africa
America
Australia and Oceania
Antarctica

Even in the North, Middle, South America criteria; Mexico is in North America, thinking it is in Middle America is a common mistake based on Mexico’s language.
Also, even if America would refer only to the US;
Why America’s choice of guitar can’t be made outside the US?

All of you fail. Mexico is in Central America, which (to the Panama Canal) is part of North America. Technically you could say that Mexico is in North America, but usually the term ‘America’ without the preceding ‘North, South or Central’ is considered the USA. It’s not trademarked, yeah, but most people refer to the USA as America.
Just “AMERICA”, is not a continent dimwits, calling ‘America’ a continent is similar to when Sarah Palin called Africa a country.
