Seems to be a brand of “General Error” - at least it’s the same family name.
First reply to first comment.
Self-Fail.
roflmao! chinese bootleggers
ha ha it most definatly is
anyone who moans at me for being first is a dick
commenter above me is gay.
you just wanted to be first jelous bugger
you weren’t first either so why keep harping on it? What difference does it make who is first? Is that all these idiots have to say that keep jumping in and saying “first”?
I dont know why anyone asks this.
Im sure it started off as a little competition or inside joke on some forum or other, but now people do it for one reason only, to annoy people who hate it when people call “first” on internet forums.
You just wanted to be hetero ; ]
You would only deserve moaning at if the entire contents of your post were “FIRST!!!” or something similar.
There is nothing wrong with a constructive first post.
See, the thing is, you didn’t scream ‘First’ at the top of your lungs, and therefore are justified with your position at the top of the column. I only wish others would be not-stoopid enough to do the same.
And also, they can’t count. Nor can you.
“Please reboot the system. If problems continue, please contact your manufacturer for further instructions in another language.”
Бугага, ололо! Тупые китаяшки
My co-worker translated the Chinese as something like “Restaurant Here.”
Literally, it translates as “Dining Room”, which I’ve seen used to mean “Restaurant” in places like hotels where the eatery is attached to a larger business.
That said, having seem some of the weird results that come from feeding Chinese into online translators, Not Using A Chinese-English Dictionary Fail XD
best pic ever! *hahahaha* made my day
In Communist China, error serve translator.
ahaha nice
can anyone translate what it says?
Translate Server Error… can’t you tell its a giant sign indicating it… although I’m having a hard time understanding the fail here…
you fail
You fail for not understanding the joke.
you fail for failing for not understanding the joke
it actually is can ting
can- food/meal
ting- place
a literal translation wud be meal place. aka restaurant
餐厅 literally food hall means canteen
“canting” literally “food hall” means canteen (weird, I couldn’t send comment with chinese characters, or something is not working ?)
Ability to understand “will appear on the site shortly” fail.
Don’t know where I was expected to see this message.
This will be another try, but I expect a “warning fail”.
the thing is, the error message on the program, that they were using to translate the text into English, was in English
thanks for clarifying this!
Double FAIL.
I actually submitted this one too
as did i… heh
lmao i think i actually got that…
so you’re saying the company used a translator program to translate its name into english. the program spit back the error, and they thought that was the translation so they used it for their sign.
… Yes.
Ah! I got it now. Brilliant!
thank you captain obvious
I mean, this is a major fail. So they couldn’t tell the difference between output from the translator, or an obvious error box or pop-up. I surprised they didn’t write ‘Command Completed” or “File Edit View” for that matter.
haha rofl @ file edit view
rofl at the last two posts (the user name of the second one in particular)
Thats right. It was a translation for a restaurant by the way.
You are witty my friend
Yeah, it’s a fail…like if it spit something out to most of us in chinese that said something like that, we would all totally catch it. Yeah.
Just like how I saw a comedian mentioning that all of these foreign language tatoos people have could say crap like “beef and broccoli” instead of some meaningful saying.
I believe the sign is evidence of the server’s fail. So yes, it is a fail.
Can anyone actually translate the — is it Chinese?
Yep, Chinese. It means “restaurant”. The good old “Translate server error” restaurant. Damn good dumplings at that place.
Thanks - and to everyone else who gave the answer as Restaurant.
And to everyone else, why would anyone put up a sign in a big metal building that said “Translate Server Error?” It’s so obvious that the translation was the “boo boo.”
Obvious if you know English…
If you don’t? Then maybe not so much, yah?
They should change their name to “translate server error.”
WHAT IF IT DOES DAY “TRANSLATE SERVER ERROR” IN CHINEESE.. THEN ITS ACTUALLY A WIN
O.o say what?
Also are people really this slow? Gak…. the joke means blah blah blah, thats epic failanismistic thngy
lulz, not first and next is not gay…
Well, it doesn’t…
The Chinese is “restaurant”.
It means restaurant in Chinese. Simply that. So it’s a FAIL.
Well Copernicus, it does “day” that. I just don’t think they meant to “day” it.
This made me laugh, thanks a lot!
No problem! [sleaze] Especially for such a cutie like YOU! [/sleaze]
I’m kidding. I actually have no idea what you look like.
Ooooooh, smooth moves FAIL! :p
The two chinese characters simply means “Restaurant” in direct translate, and nothing to do with the “server error”. Lolz.
orly?
ya rly
what does the chinese on the sign mean? i’d lul if it didn’t say translate server error! lul.
i’d lul either way
