What did it do? Drive on backwards? The front of the bus is coming out – implies the boat is landing, but the wake looks like it’s setting sail.
if this was the case the door wouldn’t be hanging outward toward the water, but rather inside the building. LOGIC FAIL.

This seems like a fake, especially since the boat at the back says “Et vaan osaa”, which is a finnish figure of speech the kids use at the moment meaning “you just just at it” basically.
The Finnish have wierd figure of speech. What the hell is “you just just at it” actually supposed to mean.
By the way, Finnish might be the only language UGGGGLIER then freakin frensh or Italian (I write “Italian” with capital first letter out of respect for the food “Italian”….and “Finnish” gets it cause it’s the first time I’m paying out their language on failblog)

I remember something like this happening, a girl I know works at the place where the thing docks/fails from. It was tethered like that, and never hit the water, but don’t know if that was exactly how it happened, same bus though and same type of boat. I can check tomorrow at work and probably find some press photos.
The bus is “Linje 888″, and indeed Danish, it travels from mainland across to Seeland on the boat/ferry thingy. But the thing in the background is strange too, looks like a ferry too and def. isn’t danish.
But does look faked though, looks like the driver’s still in there?

I am pretty sure the bus is on the ferry, which is on the right hand side. It looks like a jet ski catamaran like this one http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=K0DZToBdK1U or this one http://eis.bris.ac.uk/~cckhrb/ireland/stena-line.htm – I am pretty sure the cars go in on one side and out the other, but I might remember wrongly. Also, the cars are being tethered to the deck so that they don’t shift around in bad weather. I guess maybe one of these tethers keeps that bus inside?

The text on the blue boat is Finnish. “Et vaan osaa” translates to “you just can’t”. It’s the finnish internet equivalent for “FAIL”.
It seems real, except for two things – the finnish text on the boat, and the fact that I havent heard about it in the news… I would surely remember that.
One thing that supports the fail is that the busses are actually parked near the bow of the ship – always. So its plausible.
Fake. Called the company (http://www.abildskou.dk/go.asp?LangRef=4) and it never happened. Furthermore, the bus only goes on one danish ferry between Sjællands Odde and Århus (http://www.mols-linien.dk/index.dsp?area=2) and that ferry is not that one as these ferries are new, fast catamaran ferries – and have danish names.
Sorry guys, but I only think it’s funny when it’s true.

It happened in denmark – Aalborg (typed on the bus) is a danish city lol.
It’s real, I actually worked at the ferry company at or very close to the time. This is approximately 10 years ago. I worked at the port on the other side of the route, so don’t know the layout of the one where it happened, but Molslinien does not own the entire dock on the Jutland side, so it’s likely that the ship with the Finnish text is not ’shopped.
