Also, some of the signs don’t even have poles. Photoshop fail.
They don’t have to. If you were to look for longer than two seconds, you would see that the ones that “don’t even have poles” are attached to the others via metal bars.

Um can’t any of you see the link that says HERE’S THE LOCATION?! It’s a real place and you can see another view of the same street sign and it’s REAL. It’s in Concord NC. And yeah, NC has the most effed up road system I’ve ever seen. So does SC. I don’t know what their problem is.
I’ll second that it is real. I live in Concord, NC and drive past it every day.
The roads here are nuckin futs.

I grew up near there, so I’ll third that it’s real - that’s a confusing intersection… and poorly planned.

also, i live in SC and while SC is ridiculous as hell regarding having any idea where the hell you’ll end up if you turn onto any given road, NC’s highways make me want to rip my brains out everytime i’m up there. D:

Hey, I live nearby to this and although I don’t drive past it often, I can vouch for this mess of signage. It’s real, and really confusing. Thank goodness I have a GPS or else I’d get lost here in NC!
hahaha….agreed! I love NC….and I’ve come to view navigating through the state as an extra (bonus?) adventure. (randomly pick a street and ignore the signs)

That’s definitely not in PA but in Concord, NC (per the Google map link and personal experience, having lived there).

Bullshit, I live there and those signs are real. It just happens to be an intersection of several important roads. Of course it could be designed better but it’s kind of a joke around here so I don’t think anyone wants to get rid of it. Plus if you have your bearings, all of the signs make sense.

sounds like theyre trying to keep you in state to spend money. indiana does the same thing only they have a blackhole that uses its gravity field to suck you close to indianapolis.

Reminds me of the George Carlin bit about Outer Mongolia and Inner Mongolia.

Actually, I believe this is Concord, NC, about 20 mi northeast of Charlotte (I grew up there).
But for all the “fail” nature of the signage … this part of the U.S. is currently one of the only areas where housing property values are actually rising, rather than going in concertedly fail direction.
So maybe that’s the answer to the housing crisis: post more highway signs?
You’ve got to be kidding me. EVERY SINGLE PERSON thinks that ‘thier’ part of the housing slump isn’t affected. If it were to be true for a place, then I’d guess some ultra-rich part of somewhere, like Scottsdale or Mission Beach. 20 minutes outside of Charlotte is NOT one of those places.

Oh, you owned me so much. I was going by the national news reports of LAST WEEK. I see that today ABC News reports that the Charlotte area, as of July 2, is for the first time experiencing a downward trend in home prices … of 0.1%.
For the first time? How long has the housing bust went on now?
