I laughed my ass off when he hit with that sound, just kept rewinding and replaying. If it was an adult i would have assumed it was faked or he was drunk or something, but because it was a kid you know its legit as well. Personally i love when children get destroyed. I don’t think it has anything to do with being offended. For example the video of the belly dancer was funny, and that could arguably be more offensive than this. I fell out of a tree once and was fine. I also hit a parked car on my bike and did a faceplant into the bumper of the car, fracturing my skull, which left me a nice dent that I still have today…and I’m still in the “average” categories. The kid’s fine. If it really did damage, he wouldn’t have gotten up.

Desite my insistence that something will hurt, my kids will still do the stupidest things just to experience it first hand. Yesterday (Canada Day) my kids were lighting sparklers and I said don’t touch it after because it’s still hot enough to burn. My youngest touches it anyway and says “Ouch!”. My friend’s kid decides this is a cool thing to do then, and _grabs_ it giving her nice 2nd degree burns to her fingers and thumb. Man the way she was howling for the next hour you’d think she got 3rd degree burns to half her body?! I can tell you no one was particular sympathetic. Dumb bunny.

kids learn from these sort of things, coddling them is what makes them grow up to be scared of everything. He now knows that it sucks to fall on your face, it may have saved him from a WORSE accident in the future, w/e. After he bounces back (kids tend to bounce really well, see the video above if you don’t believe me), he will laugh. Hell it was probably him who put the video on the internet to begin with. It was either him or his mom/dad. We have a video similar to this one at my house where my brother takes a spill against a parked car the day he had his training wheels taken off and hes just fine now. We bring it out once in a while and laugh about it.

Obviously there are people who don’t know how to parent a child….When my eight-year old son wanted to learn how to ride his bike on the 1/2 pipe…..I picked him up by the shirt and threw him face first into the deck…..I said “That’s what it feels like when you don’t do it right.”…..He is now a 1/2 pipe expert…..See how it works?????

This isn’t just a kid getting hurt and crying, it’s sad people see it that way. He wasn’t wearing a helmet and with that kind of impact combined with his reaction afterwards it is highly likely he suffered damage to his brain. Which I know some may find funny as well, but this is a sad case of parenting failure, the kid might suffer for the rest of his life because of it.

Hilarious. The kid gets up and walks away, no limp, no harm, no foul. I think his feelings were hurt more than anything, as I do not even hear him crying until he notices that people start laughing, which they only do after it’s obvious he is ok. Halfpipe drop-in FAIL!!!

This is an ultimate fail for these reasons: He is a small child; He is ginger; The cameraman zooms in on the PAIN.

I agree with the PARENTING FAIL and HELMET FAIL comments… and I’ve personally cracked my head open 5 times requiring ER visits and stitches. Jumped out of a swing once (age 2) and dove into a rock, slipped on a wet bathroom floor twice (ages 2, 3), and then walked into the corner of a privacy wall outside a movie theater bathroom (age 17…not kidding), and most recently, slipped off a skateboard (age 20)!
Moral of my story? Only 1 out of 5 of my head injuries actually took place while doing an activity conventionally related to helmets.
THEREFORE, I fear for this child’s many other possible fails…

This is THE parenting fail. What exactly was the plan with that stunt? ^^ If he hadn’t uhm…fell (?) he’d just go straight over the edge and knock his nuts back into his stomack, rescheduling his puberty till 20.
