    photoshopped definitely.

  2. Jebus says:

  3. Jason says:

Not photoshopped, and not a gate fail. This is just a patience fail. The whole place is pretty new, and you can see from the concrete shades that the gates were just put in very recently. You do that first and then build the fences to span between them.

  6. gerardo says:

    my mom doesn’t like gates…

  7. dolt says:

there was a picture like this before but in the countryside on a footpath (or foot trail for americans) and people said it was photoshopped but i dissagree, there are hundreds (well maybe only dozens) of gates like like this with no fences throughout the english countryside on footpaths, usualy this is because the fence around it has corroded away or fallen down after time and nobody thought there was any need(read couldn’t be bothered) to buid a new fence.
but these gates look reasonably new so i don’t know wat’s going on

    • Jason says:

Dude, that’s the clue: “The gates look reasonably new”. As in, BRAND NEW. They’re still working on the place and haven’t done the fences yet. I don’t know why this is so hard to understand.

  8. Markislav says:

this website has gone far far far downhill.

this isn’t funny, this isn’t even a fail.

  9. Joolz says:

Heh, funny picture. I bet they’re building or replacing the fence, though. The gates look new, so maybe they had to go in first.

  10. Markislav says:

this website has gone far far far downhill.

this isn’t funny, this isn’t even a fail.

  11. Kyle says:

Maybe they’re hoping that any burglars would have a horrible fear of walking on mulch…

  12. Ughuu says:

This isn’t fail. That looks more like decoration to me.

  13. Yonker says:

I think this is the new Microsoft Gates Memorial. We will miss you, Bill. ;)

True! Coincides exactly with his exit from running Microsoft! Why didn’t anyone figure that out before?

  14. Christine says:

  15. TG says:

Not a gate fail. Fence fail!

  16. BiZkit says:

*Yawn* This ain’t even funny. They just put up the gates first because the poles have to be set in concrete (as you can clearly see). It would be a fail if you’d build the fence first…

    • paper aeroplane says:

can nobody SPELL in this f***** blog?

f****** losers- the lot of you’s!

      • aaaaanon says:

and were r teh speeling erroors??!

        • grond says:

It must be “built” instead of “build”, you fail.

          • Booyakashaa says:

Chill, dood. Maybe Bizkit intended to say “would build” instead of “had built”? Ok, that would actually be a grammar fail. But come on, do YOU always talk in uber-correct if-clauses? ;)

            • grond says:

No, I don’t always talk in über-correct if-clauses because I’m German and the most common mistake Germans make when speaking English is when using if-clauses. However, in your own maternal language you should be able to tell the difference between the infinitive and the past participle.

    • aaaaanon says:

      it’s still funny

  18. Fatima says:

    Fail english :)

  19. MettanAtem says:

It looks like the person who made those was very smart. It’d be easier to build the gate first so you can build the fence without much of a problem.

  20. Pescador_Gama says:

    i dont get the fail… the fence isnt finished yet… so… =S

  21. DaManRando says:

I am reminded of the scene in Blazing Saddles where they build a toll booth on the road to the town of Rock Ridge, and then the baddies have to go back for a S*** load of dimes to get through… rather than ride around em…

Otherwise yeah they just put the gates in first before they build the fence… makes sense to me.

  22. Jakery says:

This is not a fail. The fence people obviously just took a lunch break after installing each other the gates.

  23. Nealson says:

as already been said, the fence is just not done yet, but some of you are looking too much into it. The photo taken at face value is funny looking, with all these gates and no fence!

  24. Anonymous says:

No, not a gate fail. But definitely a color fail.

That’s what I was thinking too. I’m a landscaper by trade, so the first thing I looked at was the paths leading to the front doors. They needed to work around the concrete footing for the gate posts, so the gates had to be put in before the paths could be. As to why they didn’t put the fences up at the same time- probably because it would be a lot easier to bring in the materials for the paths if there’s no fence in the way.

Not a fail- in fact, a huge win. Whoever planned this out was thinking very efficiently. It might look odd right now, but they saved a lot of man-hours and frustration.

So what you’re saying is that the English (or english if you’re completely uneducated) countryside in general is a huge series of fails? Hmm. Well, I have to say I couldn’t agree more, my retarded friend. Thanks for the heads up!

YOU ALL FAIL – I’ve seen this, it’s real.

  27. Zarkanadas says:

    Invisible fence win! ;)

  28. Em says:

Not really a fail…. it’s obvious they haven’t finished the fence. Another failblog FAIL.

  29. Bull says:

Blonde Burgler “I can’t get in the gates locked…”
    “maybe I can jump it”
*jumps over and just gets caught by the top of the gate and breaks nose*

  30. Anonymous says:

there are 3 wires strung btwn each gate…

  31. Anonymous says:

Three wires between each gate so the plants for the new hedge will have some kind of support while growing into the neat hedge it so desperately wants to be.

Instant gratification FAIL, sometimes good things come to those who wait

    • fznord says:

Not a bad idea. I don’t see these wires, but I suppose that’s the point.

But why are there no vines planted at the base of the ‘hedge?’

  32. Javyer says:

  33. jimbeam says:

LAZY ARSE BAST*RDS WHO CAN’T READ QUICKLY FAIL

  34. Zach says:

It is not really a fail, all the little fences are not fences but gates which open. I don’t understand why there are not full fences (perhaps not yet built) but it is still funny and pointless.

  35. Anonymous says:

“all the little fences are not fences but gates”

    No way? really?

Btw it’s called Gate Fail, and not Little Fences Fail

  36. Anon says:

I think this is not a fence fail at all. We removed our pool fencing and all that remains now is a gate, much like this photo. Now whenever we enter via the gate, our dogs wait behind us until the gate is opened, and in they go. Likewise, they wait until the gate is opened again to come out. Therefore, I think all these homes have dogs as dumb as ours and owners as smart as us.
    Smart dogs FAIL
    Smart owners WIN

  37. Alex says:

    flippin’ retard failblog post.

  38. This is def. not photoshopped..

    it’s a concept neighbourhood in Finland…

(and yes, I was the one that submitted this pic :)

  39. wato says:

  42. tbonedave1 says:

This is the community for the chronic OCD hurtlers. They must hurtle. And they must do it every morning and every night upon leaving and entering their OCD colony.

  44. random says:

    First!

  45. Wow says:

Dude you MUST be retarted and if your not your just trying to piss us off!

    Random=Epic fail!!

  46. peksu says:

    This is definitely real.
These gates are right near where I live in Vantaa, Finland. That’s a new neigbourhood so I suppose hedgerows are to be grown around those gates.

  47. delaware says:

they put in the gates before they build the fence. this isn’t a fail or photoshop its another stupid picture on a website that doesn’t filter its content. i’m going back to collegehumor.com failblog sucks the chrome off a trailer hitch. and their t-shirts suck.

  48. Donnie says:

No, looks like it’s a win for the spammer. Website moderator FAIL.

  49. Handsomer Jim says:

    Herpes is totally free, too.
