Not photoshopped, and not a gate fail. This is just a patience fail. The whole place is pretty new, and you can see from the concrete shades that the gates were just put in very recently. You do that first and then build the fences to span between them.

That’s what I was thinking too. I’m a landscaper by trade, so the first thing I looked at was the paths leading to the front doors. They needed to work around the concrete footing for the gate posts, so the gates had to be put in before the paths could be. As to why they didn’t put the fences up at the same time- probably because it would be a lot easier to bring in the materials for the paths if there’s no fence in the way.
Not a fail- in fact, a huge win. Whoever planned this out was thinking very efficiently. It might look odd right now, but they saved a lot of man-hours and frustration.
Agreed. It’s like when you walk in while someone is dressing and in surprise they trip and fall over, because they have only one pant leg on. It looks really stupid, but really they were just putting on their pants.
While that makes absolute sense and is probably correct, the concept of this site is based around how things look in the one image. Looking at the picture, with no explanation, it looks like gates with no fence, which is a fail.
there was a picture like this before but in the countryside on a footpath (or foot trail for americans) and people said it was photoshopped but i dissagree, there are hundreds (well maybe only dozens) of gates like like this with no fences throughout the english countryside on footpaths, usualy this is because the fence around it has corroded away or fallen down after time and nobody thought there was any need(read couldn’t be bothered) to buid a new fence.
but these gates look reasonably new so i don’t know wat’s going on
Dude, that’s the clue: “The gates look reasonably new”. As in, BRAND NEW. They’re still working on the place and haven’t done the fences yet. I don’t know why this is so hard to understand.
I read about that town. That had a rash of burglars in wheelchairs breaking into homes via the front doors. The gates solved the problem by presenting an impenetrable barrier.
*Yawn* This ain’t even funny. They just put up the gates first because the poles have to be set in concrete (as you can clearly see). It would be a fail if you’d build the fence first…
Chill, dood. Maybe Bizkit intended to say “would build” instead of “had built”? Ok, that would actually be a grammar fail. But come on, do YOU always talk in uber-correct if-clauses?
No, I don’t always talk in über-correct if-clauses because I’m German and the most common mistake Germans make when speaking English is when using if-clauses. However, in your own maternal language you should be able to tell the difference between the infinitive and the past participle.
True. Maybe it’s like America’s Funniest Home Videos. After a while, all the original, truly funny stuff had been seen and it just became a bunch of different dads in different scenarios getting nailed in the nuts.
I am reminded of the scene in Blazing Saddles where they build a toll booth on the road to the town of Rock Ridge, and then the baddies have to go back for a S*** load of dimes to get through… rather than ride around em…
Otherwise yeah they just put the gates in first before they build the fence… makes sense to me.
Blazing Saddles! LOL. Perhaps the gates are actually an attempt to keep really uptight-by-the-books people away from the door. They’d never step around a locked gate…

Three wires between each gate so the plants for the new hedge will have some kind of support while growing into the neat hedge it so desperately wants to be.

I think… duh… maybe they haven’t finished the fences yet… maybe other people have already mentioned this but… duh… I’m too gay to read any other posts so I’ll just take a stab and mention this is what I think… duhh!
It is not really a fail, all the little fences are not fences but gates which open. I don’t understand why there are not full fences (perhaps not yet built) but it is still funny and pointless.
I think this is not a fence fail at all. We removed our pool fencing and all that remains now is a gate, much like this photo. Now whenever we enter via the gate, our dogs wait behind us until the gate is opened, and in they go. Likewise, they wait until the gate is opened again to come out. Therefore, I think all these homes have dogs as dumb as ours and owners as smart as us.
Smart dogs FAIL
Smart owners WIN

This is firewall of Windows…
haha
I think… duh… maybe they haven’t finished the fences yet… maybe other people have already mentioned this but… duh… I’m too gay to read any other posts so I’ll just take a stab and mention this is what I think… duhh!
LAZY ARSE BAST*RDS WHO CAN’T READ QUICKLY FAIL
It is not really a fail, all the little fences are not fences but gates which open. I don’t understand why there are not full fences (perhaps not yet built) but it is still funny and pointless.
stater and repeater of the obvious…

“all the little fences are not fences but gates”
No way? really?
Btw it’s called Gate Fail, and not Little Fences Fail
I think this is not a fence fail at all. We removed our pool fencing and all that remains now is a gate, much like this photo. Now whenever we enter via the gate, our dogs wait behind us until the gate is opened, and in they go. Likewise, they wait until the gate is opened again to come out. Therefore, I think all these homes have dogs as dumb as ours and owners as smart as us.
Smart dogs FAIL
Smart owners WIN
flippin’ retard failblog post.
posting reply as stand alone comment = flippin retard failblog post replier :-p
This is def. not photoshopped..
it’s a concept neighbourhood in Finland…

“concept” neighborhood?
well yeah; architecture stuff
sticking it to those gated communities
Maybe they are laser fences. The next generation of home security… discreet and deadly! Carbonite would work too but costs too much.
Hey now, carbonite is nothing to mess with.
Just ask Han Solo.
Whoops, didn’t see the screenname.
Joke already there fail!
i just want to reiterate your fail.

Woah. I live near these houses, and yes, this pic is taken in Kartanonkoski, Vantaa, Finland.
This is the community for the chronic OCD hurtlers. They must hurtle. And they must do it every morning and every night upon leaving and entering their OCD colony.
You mean CDO. It is in alphabetic order like it should be.
First!
Dude you MUST be retarted and if your not your just trying to piss us off!
Random=Epic fail!!
Wow= Reply fail
This is definitely real.
These gates are right near where I live in Vantaa, Finland. That’s a new neigbourhood so I suppose hedgerows are to be grown around those gates.
Never thought about hedgerows, sounds plausible.
I think its so fat finnish people can get around the gates cos they look small
they put in the gates before they build the fence. this isn’t a fail or photoshop its another stupid picture on a website that doesn’t filter its content. i’m going back to collegehumor.com failblog sucks the chrome off a trailer hitch. and their t-shirts suck.
No, looks like it’s a win for the spammer. Website moderator FAIL.
