Most ATMs run on winblows.
The ATM’s in Germany are running on OS/2. It’s like 423498 years old and still better than Windows…!
Since theres Cyrilic on it, its in Russia or any other country, that uses cyrilic alphabet. Please, dont skip your geography lessons, you only proove that americans know nothing about the rest of the world.
Yeah well except, that I just pointed out, that not every ATM is running on Windows regardless if it’s from Russia, Timbuktu or the States.
Since I am from Germany I can tell what OS they’re running on.. duh!

Congratulations on being so ignorant, Kittens! If you want to experience the “opposite” of freedom, just spend some time in Cuba, and try speaking out against the government. Then you’ll truly learn what the “opposite” of freedom is.
Well, truthfully speaking, here’s how it works.
The theory:
Constitutionally, the government in Cuba is elected by the people, therefore, since people elect the government they do not have the right to complain about it.
Here’s what really happens:
Constitutionally speaking, the only allowable party in Cuba is the Communist Party. This party selects whoever runs for government offices and places those people in the ballot. The party chooses though whoever is convenient to their interest (kinda of like Democrats and Republicans work on the US, but on a monopartidistic way). The people then vote for two people that represent the interests of the Communist Party and thus they go into office. Needless to mention that it is the Communist Party who runs the Electoral Colleges over there, thus they can afford to make any counting mistakes they want without others knowing or complaining. And given that the Cuban Constitution says you elect the government (as in vote for the representatives), it is implied you don’t get to complain about their actions. So, you are screwed.

The Fujitsu- Siemens machines i installed ran on windows while
the old Siemens- Nixdorf ran OS/2. AFAIR a pretty old IBM monster ran OS/2 too.
An interesting time of my life that was. Taught me a bit about ATM and safes and the like!
Some of the old machines we uninstalled contained several ounces of
pulverized money, ground by the note transport system.
Origin: precious, value: zero.
So why not use one of the major commercial operating systems developed in Germany? Oh wait….
Like every country on earth should have it’s own OS. Makes perfectly sense to me.

I highly doubt it and seriously hope not.
However, there is no reason for a Windows machine to ever crash or reboot if you are only running a single stable application.

I lol’ed.
