Personally I’ve been trying to find a decent Mercedes to jack the hood ornament off of for necklace action lately but none have surfaced in my neighborhood. Everybody rides freakin Vespas in this end of Denver. Gotta find me one though! Mebbe I can find a nice little Buick piece, it’s a little daintier and girlier for jewelery purposes.

Hey folks,

you all seem to not understand the point.

Yes, the original was probably stolen, it was a fashion (in Berlin for example) some 10 years ago, younf people would walk with the star hanging on a chain around their neck, some kind of trophee, some kind of capitalist war. But this is not the actual point.

The owner is probably also one of those young, creative and alternative people of such scene (and yes, they do drive Mercedes- on the “why” in another blog, maybe), showing that he gives a damn about original gadgets, and he makes fun of the situation. I very much feel like him, I would do the same. It has irony, guts, it is freaky, funny, creative, satirical.

The fail is not to him but to those of you who wrote that one should not do that- put a fake on a real mercedes…

I thought I did, because if you look at the windshield wiper, it has to sweep right to left, from the driver’s perspective. Normally that is only on right hand drive cars. However, it was pointed out that this car only has one wiper, which I have to believe, so it could sweep either way, I guess. Hence the “d’oh”.
