He was already in the toll booth when a woman behind him who wasn’t paying attention clipped the rear quarter of his car and wedged herself between his car and the toll booth. So it wasn’t his fault that he was stopped paying a toll and was rear ended by an idiot.

Suburbs of NYC could arguably include the counties up along the Hudson River as far as Orange or Durchess perhaps. But Buffalo is not only 400+ miles away, it’s cgot an entirely different culture, personality, and so forth. Folks in Buffalo commute as far as Chatauqua, Rochester, Toronto perhaps, but certainly not downstate (for the most part. although I did know a professor who would fly home to NYC every weekend.)

It’s the I-190 in Buffalo (which is about 8-10 hours drive away from NYC).

They had to bring in tons of equipment to free the cars. It was fun to watch.

What happened is, the first car was taking some extra time to pay the toll (not sure if the toll mechanism wasn’t working, or if he was searching for change), and the dumbass in the black car decided it was taking too long and decided to try to pass him! FAIL.
