Nah, its still a fail. Sure it was corrected, but doesn’t take back the original fail. Take this scenerio: Your kid fails 2nd grade, repeats it and passes, then moves on to third grade. Just cause everything was fixed, he still failed 2nd grade.

It’s real. I used to live in that area and I saw the story. I promise it’s real.
I’m from Roanoke and can attest to the fact that that photo did actually run in the local paper. Sad point of fact, that’s not an uncommon thing to see in the rural south.
Happens in big cities up north, too. Had a coworker in Chicago who would get upset, for fear of second hand smoke harming her babies, about walking through the pack of smokers huddled around the front door of our building … but would step out onto the fire escape for a puff every chance she got. Would also come into work almost every Monday with stories about the drunken festivities she and her husband had participated in over the weekend. Both kids are now in special ed. Big surprise.
