    US Military Safety Fail

  10. Nmae says:

    It can’t explode without charge.

  11. This situtation calls for MaGruber. Check out my CARTOONS by clicking on my name link.

  12. scifipenguin says:

    Ummmm ^ ew? gross?

  13. heretic says:

shouldnt there be another, stronger word instead of “epic” for this possible fail if it happened ?

  14. Tim says:

The picture is from a mishap at Mobile Mine Assembly Group 10 in Japan. It happened several years ago. The ‘bomb’ is actually a Mk65 bottom laid anti-ship mine that is built to be dropped from aircraft. Luckily, it was a practice mine, not loaded with explosives. The mishap occurred because the forklift’s brakes failed. The driver received minor injuries.

    • MN1 Senseney says:

Your a tool…..yes it is a MK 65 mine but obviously it is a real mine due to the fact of the yellow(high explosive) dots and the thermal coating which adds cookoff time for onboard ship storage. I have done maintenance on these 4 trillions times give or take 1 and have been a Mineman in the navy for 16 years. Momag 5 and several times at Unit 11. Where as you knew some of the facts, know them all before spewing from the mouth.-MN1(SW)

  15. Zquizhy says:

actualy that picture is originaly from the oops list at http://micom.net/oops/
i’ve known about it for a while lol

  16. Annonnymousse says:

Hey, the word “nukular” isn’t Fail… it’s cool! and it’s MEANT to be spelled that way!

    • titaniumspork19 says:

I question your sanity if you think any word George Bush popularized is “cool”.

      • RACECAR backwards says:

Agreed. As I always said as an avid Muslim:
“Cast the bushites from the temple!”
“Bush on mars, peace on earth!”
        and so on.
PS: I am a Sunni muslim, and I HOLD TO THE FACT THAT Bushwacker killed the country, along with helping the Shiites to start their Jihad against us.

  17. Munitions Guy says:

OH, sorry, my bad. It is a practice drop shape, but it’s a Mk65 Gator Mine dropshape, not a B-83. It remains merely a 500 Kg mass of concrete and steel falling two feet…why does this qualify as an almost EPIC fail?

    • GK says:

You appear to be under the misapprehension that everyone has your encyclopaedic knowledge of munitions and the ability to discern which ones are capable of exploding at a glance. Or possibly that you think people will read the entire comment thread to ascertain background information before deciding whether the picture is, in fact, amusing to them.

In either case, I have some horrible, horrible news for you.

  18. anonymous says:

    more like bomb test fail.

  19. Bubba says:

This kind of forklift accident is WAY too common – my friend once had brakes fail and ended up with the forks jabbed into asphalt. THAT would have been a picture!

  20. Anonymous says:

You’re all sad to be arguing over this picture. . . thats all it is. . . a picture!

  21. thurnb says:

Weapons durability testing Win! (unless it is in fact filled with concrete)

  22. deThbaTe says:

“Bob! What the hell man! I said loading bay FOUR!”

  23. OMG says:

    Dumb luck win!

  24. Mall Security Guy says:

Somehow I just know the French are behind this fail.

  25. Obscure says:

This is not photoshoped. This was an actual mishap that occurred on Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa Japan. I was stationed at MCAS Futenma at the time, just a few miles away. Photos of this incident made it to every ordnance section in the MAW.

  26. HolyDiver says:

It doesn’t have to be Almost Epic Fail.
    It might still explode.

  27. sk8pwner9 says:

    this pic is posted twice

  28. Idiot says:

    repost :p

  29. Cherry Mortimer says:

    Hole. Ly. Shit.
And yes, I meant it the way. NOT A SPELLING FAIL!!!!!!

  30. CowPies says:

But… Photocutteded! how did they fit that thing through the door? :P

  31. asfwf says:

You know what will make it an epic fail? that bomb exploding.

  32. okimineguy says:

This photo is not photoshopped. I now work at the shop where this happened…it is a mine on the end of the forklift not a bomb.

  33. john says:

AGAIN it’s a Naval mine mark (mk) 65 bottom mine, how many dumb people will post that this is a photoshopped image, to anyone who’s ever worked with them (I have) that this is a piece of live ordinance, the day this happened, I had to do a safety stand down on all forklift ops in Japan until we were sure everyone knew what to do in the event of this type of failure (slience on DECK) activate EOD!
