Ofcourse they do. Capitalism rules. People want profit, McDonald’s sells. I don’t like the US, but I have no greater love for the people in “my” country supporting “your” silly brands. I NEVER eat at McDonald’s, nor do I listen to pop-music, but sadly, many in Europe do, and those are NO BETTER than the US that “we” dislike. So we should hate them equally. I don’t dislike people becuase they are American (from the US), but sadly, the majority of people there seems to be of a…”bad” kind. The few of you that are different, know this: when people say that they hate America/Americans, they don’t mean you. They mean the ones we describe.

You have no idea how franchising works, do you. Citizens in Europe or Asia build/rent/purchase a building, then they get permission from McDonalds’ corprate offices to use the brandname as long as they purchase supplies from McDonalds and run the restaurant according to McDonalds’ rules. That’s how most McDonalds are setup, in a nutshell.

2. american values are not copied around the world. america is backwards on gun laws, abortion, gay rights etc.
3. pop music is a scandanvian invention, rock music is entirley english and rap originated in celtic tribes over 1000 years ago
4. capitalism and the monetary system is, again, british – the british forced it on america (assasination of abe lincoln)
5. its called GDP – ameica is a big place with alot of people, as are russia and china who are arguably more powerful than america

This is true. The US profiteered immensely off the blood, sweat and suffering of their ‘allies’ in the beginning of world war 2. The only reason they got involved was because Japan attacked the US, advertently causing a declaration of war and by virtue of the alliance Germany had with Japan, Germany also declared war on the US. The US didn’t “save the day” it was dragged into the war kicking and screaming. The US would have quite happily sat back and got filthy stinking rich off the death and destruction of their ‘allies’ had they not been forcibly drawn into the conflict. US foreign policy during ww 2 = FAIL
