If everyone hates Americans and America so much, then why does the rest of the world try to emulate their lifestyle and accept their values? Why is it that I can find McDonald’s everywhere in the world? How is it that I can’t go to a bar in Europe without hearing American music? Why does the vast majority of the world willingly accept capitalism and consumerism?
And if Americans are so stupid, how are they so powerful?
And why does everyone assume that the soldier is American? He is not wearing the uniform of any branch of the US armed forces. he could be british, or australian, or canadian for all you know. Face it, y’alls is jealous

sorry, i have to disagree. i live in europe now, but in america i hate the fast food chains, shitty pop music, stupid movies, etc., while people here are crazy about it all. the fact is, the americans businesses here would go out of business if the locals didn’t but their shit ALL THE TIME. no one is forced to eat at mcdonald’s here or watch the latest crap hollywood dumped out, or blare american music in their cars.
of course, all that is separate from american politics. and no, it doesn’t change the fact our country has lots of problems, such a a sucky health care system. but saying that our culture is forced on people is just a lie.

I agree with you guys. I hate arrogant people that boast and brag about our country that way. They don’t understand how stupid it sounds. I don’t want to sound racist or prejudice but it’s not the African Americans or Hispanics that talk like that most of the time. I can say that since I hear it every day. Also, I know that this country is not perfect…nothing is perfect.
Nope, they might not be the ones running their mouths about patriotism, but that’s because the Hispanics are too busy entering our country illegally, stealing jobs because they work for piss-poor weekly paychecks that they send back home via Western Union, and having rallies about “pride in their country” despite the fact that they’re too damn ashamed to live in said country and would rather leech off our resources and our economy here. Meanwhile the “African Americans” are too busy shooting each other in gang wars, commiting robberies and rapes, jacking up our crime rate, draining our government resources for the space they take up in our prisons, spreading AIDS because they’re too lazy to put on a fucking condom, and popping out dozens of kids so they get a bigger welfare check every week and can expand the project housing they live in — further reducing the amount of habitable, safe housing areas for regular families.
Think all the above sounds racist? Go look at statistics on crime rates, poverty, welfare, low-paying jobs, etc. It’s all true. I love not being able to find more than 2-3 decent neighborhoods to move to in a city of 300,000 people, and not being able to understand a damn thing the cashier at McDonald’s says. Gotta love America!

There are homeless because of the failure of recontsruction, and that there
are still racists who provide negative stereotypes for others to feed off of
never heard that about child mortality. US doesn’t give health care because

ourselves, and finally there are A LOT MORE PEOPLE IN THE US than in canada
specifically in higher density areas, and no Canadians don’t pack as much.

I will try to explain this as best I can, America is a great country except for those who
hoard money for no reason and do nothing with it, but use it for their own selfish
means, hence homeless. The Child mortality rate is the result of different people but
the same cause, they want money, the child is the only thing keeping that back
(Food, clothing, etc.) so what do they do? The health care is almost unneeded, but it is because the employers are cheap with their employees. As for the killing each other
well it is because some Americans see to many violent movies, video games, and have
a tendency to be over aggresive. But remember that not all americans fall under that category. Only a small percentage do those things and they are the only ones who actually get to the news, and never the better part of the population. Hope I helped. Turtles!
I guess you don’t get Canadian news where you’re at. The body counts might not be in the hundreds – yet – but the gun-homicide counts do seem to be going up, with a proliferation of (generally) Asian and Jamaican gangs. WHen someone talks about the “safe streets” of Canadian cities, they’re talking about a Canada maybe 20 years or so out of date. Yeah, things used to be OK, but not any more.
As for homelewssness and poverty, visit Vancouver’s East Hastings district to see the human wreckage. It’s tragic (and this place is just the worst of the worst, that I know of.) Hastings and Main is known as Wastings and Main, and homelessness and open drug use is pretty much taken for granted there. Regent Park in Toronto was once a battleground – I understand that the city had to tear it down and spread its population about the city to dilute the nastiness, though it seems to have migrated mainly to the Jane and Finch area. Calgary and Edmonton have become rather shocking, as well.
I grew up watching the Detroit news. Our news now seems like theirs of 20 years ago – but then, I’ve always said that Canadian crime trends tend to lag the Americans by about that much.
And it’s only going to get worse, especially as the demographics continue to shift due to very bad government policy.
Its not just americans that kill each other, i have friends in canada that see killings all the time, the reason why terrorists and crooked people get better health care than rescue workers is that the government has many crooked people in it and there are many many loop holes in the system to get what you want. I know my country isnt the greatest. Every country has its downfalls, some are just are more evident than others. I dont believe everyone wants to be like us either. The reason why there are so many homeless here is because most of them dont want to do what it takes to make money, they ar too stubborn and think they are too good for some low end work, they want something for nothing. Or they got injured and their company screwed them out of injury pay. I dont know if those were good answers, for god sakes im only a 25 year old war veteran. just takin a shot at it.
That’s all on it’s way out I’m afraid – McDonald’s are closing by the shedload out in in Europe. The $ is in freefall and everyone wants to be paid in €, £ or Yen – world wide the $ is fast becoming seen as less than hard currency. The general feeling in Western Europe is sympathy for the poor folk in the US. This appears to be a civilization in collapse with an uncaring Government. America looks set to be the new 3rd world and schools in Switzerland are showing video clips that show America as a nation of poor and dispossessed. Cheap for holidays and shopping though – the standard advice is just take an empty suitcase.
And the reason for the closings in Europe is because of the EU and
the exclusivity of trade rights. McDonalds have had to fork out
ten fold of how much they normally would pay for all their ingredients.
The EU is doing its best to prevent the globalisation of the world, but
all its doing is hurting their external trade relations.
I’m a proud Aussie, I eat at McDonalds (and KFC etc) often, I use my
Windows operating system, wear Australian surf brand clothes and listen
to music new and old from both Australia and elsewhere. And no matter
how much you bag the US, that’s your choice, but what in gods name
does the citizens and their culture have to do with the US anyways.
The US is just at the forefront of a new global culture. And weather you
like it or not, you’re in it. So adapt to it or you’ll just make it harder for
yourself.

The only reason they got involved was because Japan attacked the US, advertently causing a declaration of war and by virtue of the alliance Germany had with Japan, Germany also declared war on the US. I can think of several countries with positive population growth. They get worse and worse with every generation. If 8 children are born to two parents and 5 starve to death, you get population growth. Stable populations are a sign of development, not populations that grow so large that they can’t feed themselves with the land within their boundaries.

I disagree with your statement. The soldier is a hero for going over there. If he’s developed a bit of a twisted state of mind from being over there, its understandible. When you have people shaking your hand one day, and then mortaring you the next, you tend to develop this sense of humor about it to keep you from falling apart.
