Around here, those things are usually seen on Chevy or Ford pickup trucks. However, the lack of a tow hitch makes me doubt my first guess. Maybe the driver removed the ball from his tow hitch?
If the tag number was a custom tag, then I would concur it might be a ghetto hoopty.
It’s got to be a West Virginia “plate”. Where else in the Union would someone take a pizza box cover and scribble their license plate number on it hoping for validation?
As the proud owner of a white ‘95 Plymouth Acclaim (her name is Lorraine, The Plain Acclaim), the car in the photo has to be either a Dodge Spirit or a Chrysler LeBaron of similar vintage. BTW, my Acclaim is a tank, solid as a rock, and gets almost 30 mpg.
fisrt off, why do we care what kind of car it is? thats totally pointless.
second, how do you lose you tag anyway? arent they screwed in or something? would someone rally steal car plates? if so, thats a whole new level of lame.
Actually, my uncle has stolen license plates in the past. His cars we’re never registered, so he thought that stealing plates off our farm trucks was a great plan.
Also, I’m from NC, not WV. and it’s got to be better than the states where I’ve seen cars not displaying any plates for whatever reason. Probably that damn temporary paper one came off.
First of all, it is West Virginia. Second, WV is not the only state that has people make tags to replace the lost ones until the replacement ones come in the mail. Third, I believe that it is a Dodge vehicle.
first! hurhur hmmm maybe the volkswagon is stolen and hence the license “board”
First Reply!

Umm, that’s not a Volkswagen. And it says WV, not VW. Probably meaning West Virginia?
I’m guessing it’s a Buick. Or some sort of GM car.
I think it means the plate is missing and wv is for the state of West Virginia
I hope it’s a cop.
Chrysler Le Baron……With “spinner” hubcaps and big flame stickers down the side and a giant back window sticker that says…”Martinez” in gothic script
LMFAO! Epic Win!
Period at the end of sentence Fail.=Me
It’s either a Chrysler LeBaron or a Dodge Acclaim. With a bit more time it would be possible to figure out exactly which model it is.

Keelhaul has it right… my first vehicle, a 1988 LeBaron Convertable.
Sadly, I’ve driven a 1990 LeBaron convertible for over three years now and couldn’t place it. Car ownership fail.
looks like a cop car to me – classic Crown Vic rear end
porche

going to go with a late 80’s early 90’s chevy lumina
Dodge or Chrysler Dynasty for sure!!
It’s clearly a 1938 Graham-Paige.
The man couldn’t even find a scrap of wood and some paint, it had to be sharpie on a piece of cardboard.
Madrugada: I hate to admit this, but the answer to your question is Florida. I see these way too often — although usually with better handwriting.
Test…
The stupid thing i ever see
wv=west virginia
failblog FAIL
That one is simply hsyterical
Call me crazy, but I’d guess a 92 Pontiac Sunfire.

It’s Dark’s Chevy Pickup, probably an S-10
Dodge Dynasty

That is not at ALL an uncommon sight in wide wonderful West Virginia.
Where’s your LeBaron Freddy?
How I love being from WILD (yes, genius two spots above me) and wonderful West Virginia.

Dodge Dynasty FTW.
this makes me proud to live in west virginia
West Virginia native has to say WV still owns Ga. *Hides from the Dawgs* hehehe
sigh those west Virginians I know a lot of them =D
That’s easy it’s a Honda Civic! Like around 80s sedan version.
It looks like a Nissan Maxima.
On second thought, it is a Dodge Dynasty. (1st comment = FAIL)
More chance of it being a Spirit than an Acclaim, you can see part of a light above the plate, Acclaim’s don’t have that there.
