i think they photoshoped it a bit bigger that flash is really overdone besides riot wepons usually have rubber paintballs (hurt like a bitch) or worse bean bags. or tear gas. never fire

Well avoiding a shotgun isn’t exactly the easiest thing to do… especially at that distance (or lack thereof, really). I see a true fail as when someone is attempting something pretty simple but somehow botches it. Or some kind of accident that isn’t common. Maybe he is failing at not getting shot, but could he really do any more to prevent it?

It’s amazing the amount of firearms experts there are in this failblog, even more so the amount of graphic artist/photographers that are present and lending thier expertise.
Also interesting the amount of people who obviously either didn’t read the full blog, or just decided to ignore that this happened around Dec 2001, in Argentina during a riot, as above posters have said.

The only funny thing about this photo is the FAIL-EXPERTS discussing muzzle flash, ammunition, and OMG…one person at the start mentioned “entry wound”.

Last I checked, the large fiery thing doesn’t go that far out of a shotgun, nor does it go above the barrel. Even if it did, how do you miraculously take a picture in that fraction of a second? Probably photoshop

Mostly, some of the things already mentioned but also the camera flash puts a shadow on the cop, but the gun flash can’t even put a shadow on the running guy? I smell a rat…
