It isn’t photoshopped, it’s a riot gun you idiot, firing rock-salt or rubber bullets, or even percussion caps, loud noises, stinging skin and flames for crowd control.

Most murderers HAVEN’T been brought to justice. Police are murderers too, they’re just allowed to do it. I’ve dealt with a fair number of cops in my day, and I’d say I feel safer without them than with them around.
Last I checked, and I have, it is law enforcement who generally are first on scene of most accidents.

Notice the sign above the dude’s head that says “Edificio”, which means “building” in Spanish. It was probably taken in a Central/South American country. With that in mind, cops have the right to do whatever the hell they want to get that $20.00 bribe.

Muzzle flash looks very untypical for a shotgun too…
and the arse end of the flash from the shotgun looks out of place, it wouldnt give off a flash that big either, usually its a smaller but brighter flash.

This is just the cop from the Courage Fail. He was pissed off after being shunned by the German police for being a wuss, so he moved to South America where he proceeded to shoot every jaywalker with a shotgun to establish how tough he is, being German and all. So it is a bigger fail because he was forced to move around the world to get respect again after cowering from the clown.
Actually that photo is VERY real, iits from the riots of December 2001 here in Argentina, after a few very unpopular economic measures taken by the government, the people took the streets to protest and the police… well…they did their thing….mostly for lack of wits and proper leadership. All of this ended in president De La Rua stepping down from office fleeing from the government house in a chopper. This photo is one of many were the police was caught abusing their force.

the left hand is just turned inwards so you can’t see it. the setup of this shot looks like the cop was firing off the shot when this guy ran around from behind him. the uninterrupted trail of flame from the shotgun makes me think he didn’t even hit this guy, his shot is going alongside him

Dude! This is probably a Mexico City cop. They have this TV show like COPS in Mexico, except they actually show dudes getting blown apart by shotguns. It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen.

If we’re going to get technical about muzzle flashes, then shouldn’t the muzzle flash be wider for such a large flash? I could be wrong but the flame from a muzzle flash would expand past a certain point due to air pressure from the round following it?

yeah victims left hand is turned inwards, but also looks a little scorched and reddish, maybe the red cloud is the rest of his fingers.

#68. The story is verrified, but not the actual photograph in question. There are plenty of times when “journalists” use doctored images to exaggerate or draw attention to a peoples plight, an “ends justify the means” ethics code.
That being said, the image it self is implying this man is being shot regardless of contextual accuracy. I’ll go to bat to defend fail boat whereever it may be, but attempt on a persons life is not funny ever.

Actually, it looks to me like the cop is blasting at someone else, not seen in this picture. The guy running is simpy getting his arse out of the line of fire. I say this cos the flames spewing from the shotgun are in the foreground, IN FRONT of the running dude. not to be a spoiler or anything

look at the position of the feet. the cop is shooting something off camera, the guy running is about 3 feet to the left of him, nowhere near the trajectory/crossfire of what is being hit.
OK, look closer gang. From the relative positions of the two people (look at where they are on the tiles), it is obvious that the officer is NOT firing at the running man in the photo, but at someone else out of the frame. The “blood splatter” doesn’t look like blood to me, but instead looks like the projectiles. If you are experienced with shotgunning, you will have experienced being able to see your shot stream leave the muzzle (instructors can look over your shoulder and see where it is going). The muzzle flash looks fairly normal to me, as it should to most anyone who has ever been duck hunting at sunrise when shooting hours begin. It can be QUITE dramatic!
My guess is, given the angle he is firing at, the officer IS perhaps firing bean bags or rubber shot at the groung ten yards or so away.

Thank you Richard Barnett. Taking a look at the pic, especially the floor tiles and the angle of the gun, the cop is obviously firing down towards the bottom right corner. The other guy is just Running Like Hell behind him.
Last I checked, the large fiery thing doesn’t go that far out of a shotgun, nor does it go above the barrel. Even if it did, how do you miraculously take a picture in that fraction of a second? Probably photoshop
